XBOX 360 + Ebay = ?

I've noticed that the prices for some 360s on Ebay are getting quite very cheap, whereas before they were rivaling Amazon, due to this fact I am considering purchasing one from the lovely internet trading site.

So anybody who has any experience with buying consoles or more specifically a 360, I could use some assistance here. Are the quality of goods such as these enough to buy one over my beloved Amazon?

Naturally it depends first and foremost on the seller's ratings. But you know that so moving on...

I'd make sure you bought a brand new one, not a used one. I'd rather pay a little more for a new one. Outside of that it's about even. The really good sellers package shipments well so there isn't a need to worry about that. eBay depends on the seller more than anything, and if there isn't one you trust go with Amazon.

Sure, but there is also that 3 year warranty that they added, so it's not really that big of deal if it happens because you can send it in and get it fixed for free. I doubt he wants a Wii.

But if you buy it second-hand, surely the warranty wouldn't apply to you?

This is also another question I have, since Microsoft gave a blanket warranty to all 360s, I assumed this applied to second hand ones too?
