So, anyone else listen to this band? I recommend checking out A Bustle In Your Hedgerow to get started. Alot of metal, country, and bluesy elements mixed in with Phil Anselmo.

I disagree .... of course, I like Pantera and don't mind Phil's singing. Their first album was good.

I dig the hard riffs though.

I liked the first album. The second was a bit of a let down. However, I'm digging their new stuff; even a bit more bluesier than before IMO.

The only people I know who like them are Anselmo marks. I'm trying to knock it or anything, but I do wonder if they'd be nearly as popular with some other blokes no one knew before in the band. It just sounds dull and run of the mill to me. I remember a bunch of people getting excited when they played a surprise set at Download a year or so back, and just remember it being boring as sin. And yelling New Orleans is a dying whore over and over for about 15 minutes is weak.

I hate Phil Anselmo, I hate Pantera, I hate Superjoint Ritual, but I LOVE Down.

I only gave them a listen because Pepper Keenan is in the band, but I gotta say...I'm glad I did.

I love this band main because the bluesy feel to there music. I in my personal opinion Phil has the best voice for metal but thats just me.

I'm not a HUGE Anselmo/Pantera fan, but I do enjoy listening to Down. Their first album was FAR better than their second. I've been meaning to check out the third, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
