I've always felt that was akin to Avril Lavigne rhyming 'boi' with 'boi'.

Also, In Flames have me puzzled with some of their lyrics. Here's one of the more stand-out examples:

Your self control makes me feel alone

I've tried confidence, had it for breakfast today

To be fair, In Flames don't speak English as a first language. A lot of bands, metal especially, from non-English-speaking countries will have sometimes hilarious bits in their lyrics.
