Well Championship Manager 5 is due out on 24th September and Football Manager 10th December.

Which one do you think will be the best and is CM5 worth a try?

FM should be better, since it's SI Games making them. Eidos could pull of an upset and make a better game but I doubt it. FM's looking pretty awesome.

I've seen screenshots of FM and it looks, obviously, like an updated CM4 - which is a good thing. I haven't seen anything of CM5.

With that said I am going to go with FM because they will have the MLS and it will be relesed in the USA.

But if called on it I'd probably go for FM, because I trust the SI guys to be at least vaguely competant...

As they say on the various Cm forums, the average joe will buy CM5 due to the name, All the net users and avid players will go for FM cause It should be superior due to the SI team.

But we'll have to wait and see. CM will get the edge first off cause it's released first.

im going to go for FM, CM5 is getting a very early release as normally when si and eidos were togthe rit was always a november time release unless its on purpose to put some space between the games

Well, I'm going to try and inform all of my friends to get FM, as it should be the better game. The CM4 database took years to perfect, and the fact that FM have got that database means it should be better in my opinion.

from the screenshot CM5 looks pretty fuckin sweet, but I'm more about the gameplay and my bet for gameplay would be on FM.

CM 5 does look good and I like the way they have the 3d nets im going to give it a try and then get my mum to buy me FM2005 for Christmas.

Well, I'll have to try the demos before I decide. I think FM will be better tho, since I have confidence in SI.

FM will probably be better but I think I'll probably just end up buying both. CM5 will just keep me entertained until FM comes out.

I think I will get FM over CM5. I trust SI more than Eidos really.
