I was only able to catch about a half hour of it, and I dunno. It's okay but damn I miss the old one. One little peeve to me, which is small but still, is when they refer to Kit as "The Kit" or "A Kit"...his name is Kit damn it. He's not a thing!! :shifty:

I watched some of it and it was pretty cool. The thing that was really strange, though, was in some of the scenes, they had this soap opera camera angle. It just seemed to stay on one side of the action and occasionally zoom in on faces. But still, it was good, and yes, Kit is awesome.

If you live in America and missed it it is being replayed this Saturday on NBC at 9pm EST.

If you didn't love this I will hereby say in no uncertain way, you have no soul. This was just balls out fun fun fun. God I hope this did well in the ratings so that it may come back as a weekly series. I LOVED this. :D

A lot of the problem with the initial ratings is that it's a nostalgia kick. Everyone who remembers the old show tuned in to see if it was anything like the old one. Whether it could sustain those kinds of ratings remains to be seen. I've got to check out the whole show.

I don't know, maybe. But the other three TV Movies in the past decade didn't get those numbers.

The Bionic Woman series premiere did. Then the ratings went to shit and we've seen what happened to that.

The telemovie was not good, but it did have potential. Basically, if they can expand on the 35 minutes of unrelenting cheese in the middle they could have something there, but nobody wants to see a straight serious show about a talking car. My big problem is that they didn't really lighten up until after the Vegas escape and after a little while (like I said, about 35 minutes including commercials) went right back to heavyhandedness. The ending was decent, the set-up to a series was good and I think with some tooling it can work. The crass commercialism of it all is so blatant that I almost admire it. What do you do in an era where people fast forward through the commercials to the show? You make the show the commercial. A novel (if slightly disturbing) notion. Best way to proceed forward from here is probably another telemovie for the post-Olympics period, and if the numbers hold reasonably proceed to series. They really should be cautious after the Bionic debacle.

I meant the three previous Knight Rider TV Movies they made in the last ten years, actually.
