I've just started the 3rd mission for the thief's guild, and I've already fenced 1,300 gold. I think I may be over doing the whole 'thief' thing.

quick question: Are silver weapons good against vampires?

I believe that they are. But you know what's best against Vampires? Fire weapons.

I've finally decided to do some of the actual quest so wandered over to Kvatch, resuced Sean Bean, got to visit the Blade's temple up north and headed back to Kvatch to help lift the seige some more and take back the castle.

I'm getting bored of fighting those firemen though, can't wait to get back to some kind of normality, wandering around helping those who need it, putting right wrongs and hoping against hope that the next mission is the mission home.

How do you buy a house? I keep trying to enter the shacks that are for sale but something comes up at the top of the screen which I can't see because my TV sucks

The main quest takes quite a long time. You'll probably looking at the length of say....15-20 normal quests strung together.

EDIT: By saying shack I assume your in the Imperial city. Find the Office Of Imperial Commerce (or something) in the market district.

In the other cities speak to the counts.

Bah, if you need a shack and dont mind doing something evil, just kill the green orc bum that lives alone in one and take over his shack. You can use his chests and stuff to store your crap and they wont dissapear.

Do the Origin of the gray prince quest before completing the arena as well.

Yeah, I've done that mission before on my old game. What happens if you don't do it? Is he just impossible to beat or don't you get to fight him at all?

Nah, he is possible to beat, but it is easier if you do the quest first. Plus, you get an automatic invite to the dark brotherhood if you do the quest and then kill him in the arena.

You fight him, hes not that hard. But you don't get the stat boosts you get from that quest.

EDIT: Oh yeah the Brotherhoods things good as well if you haven't killed anyone yet.

When I finish all of the SI quests, I plan on going Holocaust on every city. Killing everyone who can be killed, and using the Staff of Worms to pile their bodies in the center of the city ^_^

Anyone else get a crazed fan following you around after you become Grand Champion? It never happened the first time I won it.

Yeah. Tell him to bugger off if you want. But he lets you pickpocket him, about 3 gold just keeps re-appearing for you.

Despite me being a huge geek with these games, I seemingly cant get into Oblivion although it's a great game. This might be because Baldurs Gate recently took over my gaming life.. again. But when that ends, I'm sure to give Oblivion yet another shot.

Off course it is, it's completely awesome! It has so much diversity and so many sidequests it's almost frightening. It is THE game when it comes to classic RPG's to the PC.

I was thinking of the console versions. Which are probably a bit more linear.

I'm trying to come up with a list of PS2 games that I should get before it starts becoming hard to find them. I'll probably make a thread in a few days.
