Whats a good site to look up the exact genre

Believe it or not, he really has.

It's hilarious. Occasionally he actually puts forth a kind of decent song and then mars it by rambling about random shit and generally acting like Charles Manson.

I know he has a lot of music, but I thought he'd stopped making it, or so he claimed at one point a couple years back >_<

Yeah, but he's Charles Manson. He can change his mind, he's crazy.

Pfft, you just tag all yours as contemporary metal/post-grunge and be done with it.

Rather that than post-emohardcoreremixelectronicadeathrapmetalcoreprogressivepopindierocksynth.

I wouldn't put everything under one genre, it'd be:

post-emo

OR

hardcore

OR

remix

etc.

Although I would really like to hear what prog pop sounds like.

Right now the genres I have are

Gospel(which included Christian rock and etc)

Comedy(stand up and weird al type stuff)

Country(for all my country music)

Classic Rock(Eric Clapton , Eagles and etc)

Rock(Bon Jovi, Nickelback and etc.) Although I've seen Jovi classified as Classic Rock

Metal(Kittie,Ozzy,Rob Zombie,etc)

Rap(at the moment R Kelly , Destiny's Child , 50 cent and etc are in this folder)

and finally Podcasts

I've been trying to whip my collection into shape over the past year lol

I dunno if this will help but www.metal-observer.com us great for metal music, at least if you want specific genre like Power Metal, Thrash Metal, Porngrind, Neo Classical Metal, etc. Useless for anything else.

Also, Last.fm is TERRIBLE for genre tags, they are so inaccurate.

As well as www.metal-archives.com, who are pretty intricate about defining the bands. They also have a lot of other good info, so it's a real time-saver/time-waster if you're into any sort of metal music. The userbase tends to be kind of horribly elitist for the most part, but then again that is true for 95% of more close-knit Internet communities :P

I don't personally go altering tags, unless there's either multiple tags for a single album (case in point, Behemoth's "Satanica" had two tracks tagged "black metal", one tagged "extreme blackened death metal" and the rest as "death metal") or if the tags are so inane that they give me brain haemorrhages. The afforementioned "extreme blackened death metal" is a good example of what causes me to slam my keyboard with impotent rage.
