Adam Green and Tim Fite

Adam Green's class, although his last album was a little patchy. "Gemstones" is a brilliant album, though, even "Friends Of Mine" was pretty special. And to think people thought Kimya Dawson was the talent in the Moldy Peaches...

Tim Fite's a hell of a musician. Anybody that can go from such a dynamically shitty song as the one he originally broke out with ("Shaniqua") to fantastic records that mix folk and rap and make very solid pointed statements about the state of hip-hop and consumerism in general, as he did on Over The Counterculture gets my respect. Not a completely big fan, but he seems like he'd put on a hell of a show.

I love Adam Green. I'd also rate Gemstones highest out of all his albums but the last two are really good too. He also uses electric piano far more than anyone else I know of. Which is always good. I think Jacket Full of Danger suffered a bit due to the lack of electric piano actually.
