The Open at Royal Birkdale

Anyone been watching the coverage of this when its been on. I usally go out of my way to watch Golf most of the time, more so if its at Royal Birkdale.

The weather at the moment has just been shit for them when they are playing, its no wonder that Lyle quit.

I've been watching, but I can't say that I'm a huge fan of Golf.

One question though;

Is this course renowned for being difficult or are the players just not doing as well as they should be? The leader is only on PAR at the moment, and the cut is likely to be +8 or +9.

As I say, I'm not a big Golf fan, so wouldn't really know. What I do know is that in a lot of other major competitions, the scores are better than this.

It's to do with the wind and rain that they have had over the past couple of days. Any Open not held at St Andrews is a very difficult one but the bad weather makes it even worse

I was just about to point out that is was all due to the weather, most of the weather is bad in Southport due to it being near the sea. I hope it picks up for when I go there for my holiday in five weeks time.

I watched it. Good performances from a lot of people. Harrington was a worthy winner though I had some sympathy for KJ Choi and Greg Norman who were both excellent on the first three days. The young amateur Chris Wood did fantastic as well.
