YES. YES. YES. I started listening to them a few months ago and they've quickly become my favorite artists. Definitely underrated.

And also, the John Mayer Trio is a band. But The John Mayer Trio does more electric blues, which is still pretty sick. John Mayer usually does some nice acoustic though too.

Also, I'll suggest:

Eric Clapton - Unplugged

Jack Johnson - Brushfire Fairytales, In Between Dreams, On and On

Those are all albums, but they're all worth it. I'm a HUGE fan of acoustic music and those are definitely some of my favorites off the top of my head.

I really love this album, one of my favorites. Just JM and a guitar, some really great renditions of his work on there.
