If You Were Going To Listen To Anything IV: Sun, Sea and Snogs

It's Summer. This means its time for beach trips, adventures, cider and late nights spent out and about. None of these things can be done without music. Whether that be music to listen to on a balcony with a beer at three in the morning (Stars, Sharon Von Etten, Sigur Rós), music to listen to in the car on the way to the beach (Here We Go Magic, Deerhunter, Ha Ha Tonka), music to dance to (White Denim, The Wave Pictures, Wolf Parade) or simply background music whilst drinking and smoking with your chosen companions (Lee Fields & The Expressions, Nick Drake, Bon Iver). Whatever the weather and whatever the whereabouts, these 18 songs are here for the sea, the sunshine and the occassional snog. So if you were going to listen to anything this Summer, make sure it's this.

Honestly, 'Skinny Love' at 3am on a balcony with the last bottle of beer, 2 cigarettes and a companion. There is nothing more beautiful and glorious. And Sigur Rós? It's for every season.

Edit: Also, I hate that I read the lyrics to Bon Iver and it's not "I told you to be patient / and I told you to be fine / and I told you to be badass / and I told you to be kind".
