Rave's have way too much diversity of music to just pick one kind to recommend you. I've been to raves that will have 4 different stages going with 4 different styles at the same time. I would recommend checking out the last.fm tags for the following: Rave (lol of course), Trance, Drum and Bass, Dubstep, Acid House, Hardstyle, Happy Hardcore, Goa, Psytrance, Electro, Breakbeat.

It's kind of silly there's all the classifications, but you'll find there's people who only go to raves or events for, say, Drum and Bass. You could also look into online radio -- http://di.fm and http://dnb-sets.de are two. I'm not a big person for recommending artists since, as I said, there's such diversity it's hard to even identify what you'd like.
