Only three tracks in, but it's a marked improvement on the demos (which is saying something since I loved some of the demos).

I've already heard a few, ApSham linked me to Last Parade a week ago or so. It's shaping up to be a massive improvement over Hospital Music, and of the few tracks I've heard so far Silent Army In The Trees is far and away the most fantastic.

I did, but it's probably the least favourite of all the albums of his I've heard. I'm a Window was awesome, but the rest of it felt, I dunno, a bit too minimalistic? I prefer songs like Hello Time Bomb, Weapon, Near Fantastica etc to Silent Explosion or Metal Airplanes. Eh.

I think in terms of his solo stuff, Hospital Music and Avalanche are pretty close. Hospital Music is a little more growly, which is good for when I'm pissed off (and this is SDM so that's pretty much all the time).

Now that I've listened to this record though, it's growing on me. Last Parade is fantastic, Boy Who Could Explode is top notch too. So far there isn't an "I'm A Window" that leaps out at me and says "this is purely amazing", but Last Parade is probably close, and a marked protest song against the Olympics.

The best part of the album so far to me is the cartoons that accompany the songs on Youtube (I don't listen to the stream since you can't adjust the volume). His album artwork has always been pretty good, and this seems to be no exception.
