Anyone buying it this year? Have you bought games from the series in the past? Would you recommend it? I get Madden every year and I'm pretty sure I'm going to jump into this series this year too. I don't see a features list on EA's website yet but the game is available for pre-order (Release date is July 13th).

I usually buy it but I don't see myself doing so this year. If you really like college football it's a very enjoyable game but all I generally used it for after playing it for about two weeks was to experiment with the draft classes. I'll save the $60 and just download the draft classes to my PS3 this year.

Yeah, except last year you couldn't download the draft classes because you couldn't copy them onto a USB to move them.

I'm getting it again. Last year was a disappointment to me, but so far this year they have revealed that they are using locomotion so running looks more legit, and they FINALLY have ESPN presentation in the game. Just go to the game's website to see what they put up so far.

I buy this pretty much every year, at release, and rarely buy Madden at release. I just like the college game, and experience, much better. This will be the first year I buy it for PS3, though.

From fight songs, to the triple option, to taking some shitty Sun Belt team to the NC, this is the game for me.

If you prefer the pro game, you'd probably be better off saving your money, though.

College Football has definitely grown on me the last few years. Being a Rutgers season ticket holder has gone a long in helping that. That is the primary reason I want to jump in on this. I might not get it right away but definitely will at some point. If the features seem worth it I might just just order it for release day.

I'm thinking I'll be picking it up. I enjoyed this year's game very much. If I don't I'll pick up the NCAA series again in 2012.

This is actually the first year I've even had to think about whether or not I'll get it.

This past year was the first that the game quickly fell out of my regular playing time rotation.

I won't be getting it pre-release or first day, that's for sure. I dunno why but for some reason this last year's game just didn't hold the interest that long.

The CBS presentation is the reason I ALMOST bought NCAA Basketball this year (I probably will get it once it's super cheap, somehow Gamestop still wants full price for it). The thought of Gus Johnson announcing my video game is the greatest thing known to video game-kind. The ESPN presentation doesn't get me quite as stoked but its nice to see them put the effort in to make it realistic.

I'm really excited for the locomotion running, from what I can tell it's going to make the whole thing a lot more realistic. And from my experience, the NCAA game has felt more like controlling real players for awhile now. Your move, Madden.

I get NCAA Football every year. I have not looked into the new features, but it is inevitable that this will be a purchase in August. I love college football more than any other sport in the world. The real question is if there is any difference in picking this up for the PS3 or the 360.

Locomotion actually came from Madden, as in NCAA you could make cuts and not lose speed at all.

I didn't get it last year, but got 09 as my first foray into college football video games.

The game was good as far as the vast number of teams available and I really liked Campus Legend and Dynasty mode, but I felt the gameplay was lagging behind Madden, even more noticable in comparison to Madden 10. Also a few little things like the controls being different slightly, which lead to me throwing the ball away countless times when I try to pump fake using R1.

I may get it this year, but the fact I have to import it and can't use draft classes in Madden 10 as apparently PAL PS3s block the option even if I import Madden too. That takes away a big part of the appeal for me.

Funny you should mention PAL PS3's.

Any other problems with an imported copy of NCAA on a PAL PS3 other than the draft classes?

As this game and The Show are two games that would force me to buy a PS3 (And I've seriously been thinking about it), If there's no big problems that is.

Not that I know of, it allows you to download real rosters from other people's profiles too which is the only other concern really. Still though, it's a real ball buster no tbeing able to import draft classes.
