Can someone help me ID these movies?

So as I was flipping through the channels last night I saw the end of a movie and I need to know what movie it is. A guy and a chick are standing in a office building(I think) he looks and her and says "Don't worry, everything will be OK" then outside the building other buildings start to blow up, they turn to look, he takes her hand and says something like "You came along at a weird time in my life

The next one I have less info about.

Looks like an older movie, maybe 70's, black guy with an afro who is a cop of some sort and who's last name is slaughter is investigating some gang/mob of Italians. He gets chased by a car at one point and like twice during the movie hes in bed with the white woman who works for the other guys but is really helping him.

and the 2nd, idk how you found that, i googled lines from the movie and got nothing.

I googled 'film character slaughter' and a 1972 film popped up. >_>
