EWR Color Mod

Over the last couple of weeks, I've put in some work and was able to change a few things around in EWR by using a hex editor. While somewhat time consuming, it was rather simple. Many things can be changed, including the size and color of objects on the forms and various text within the game. I am not able to add anything into the game, but I was able to change many things.

This color mod basically changes every label and such within the game to neutral colors that will look good with any background image. I've also changed the font from Tahoma to Arial and resized a few things, but not much.

You'll notice that I also redesigned the websites as well to make them more friendly with different colored background images. I've kept the same color schemes and would have liked to added custom backgrounds for each website but could not manage to do that without replacing the banners.

It's possible that I could make a program that would allow the editing of the game to be done with a simple interface, but with various other projects, I am not sure when or if I would get to it.

What skin are you referring to? Sadly the ones in the screenshots were just random images that I made to show the different colors. I don't have any of those saved. If you are referring to the one in the video, well I do have that saved. I just made it randomly myself.

I changed the font back to Tahoma in this version for people that prefer it. the only reason I changed it to begin with is that Arial was more compact and thus more text would show in the various listboxes and such.

I just threw together a bunch of random backgrounds that I didn't keep just to show off what the layout looked like with different colored backgrounds.

I could try to recreate some of those backgrounds if people want them I guess.

I can change text in the game and thus can change the names of the Japanese promotions but it would conflict with rosters, so I didn't bother. Another thing I can do is change some of the random names used for new workers. Actually thought of that since I never really liked most of the names the game uses.

Can you do anything with 'Based In'? I'd love to be based in the UK.

Since all I can do is replace text, I could replace Canada or Mexico with UK but it wouldn't mean anything. It would also carry whatever AI settings those options have and any other promotion using those would have to use UK instead. I believe it would cause an error too if you loaded a database that was made with a promotion being set in Mexico or Canada. So, the short answer is that it's not practical. I wish I could add to the game, but that seems highly unlikely.
