Silas Young vs Jesse Sorensen
In a intriguing opening bout to a packed Ignition we see the ever surly Silas Young taking on one of the newest QCW roster members, the unandcomming Jesse Sorensen. It’s a pretty good back and forth match with Jesse giving Silas a run for his money but in the end an eye rake lets Silas hook him into a Full Nelson and and haul him up before dropping him into a knee strike to the head, picking up the win.

A Dragon’s Desire
We go to a pre-recorded segment at Ric Flair’s home in his home office. After a knock at the door Flair welcomes The QCW Magnum Champion Richie Steamboat into the ring. Richie shakes Ric’s hand then quickly gets down to business. Richie is here because he wants to be the next challenger for James Storm’s QCW Heavyweight championship after what Storm did at Downpour. Ric understands the the request but reminds Richie that he doesn’t like just handing out title matches to people who want them. Richie starts to argue his case but Ric quickly stops him and tells him there’s another reason. There’s another person that’s wanting a shot at James Storm that has just as good of a case. It’s the man Richie stood beside last Takedown in opposition to Storm’s crew, The Phenomenal AJ Styles. He’s very soon to be back from Japan and wants the same thing. Flair says that Richie has given him an idea though. On the next Takedown Richie and AJ Can face off one on one and the winner will face Storm at Rebellion. Richie seems to be into this and says he has no problem with that.

Chase Stevens vs Caprice Coleman
We come back to what is sure to be another hell of a match with the veteran tag-team specialist and former NWA Tag-Team Champion Chase Stevens taking on Caprice Coleman with his tag-team partner Cedric Alexander and their new mentor Matt Hardy at ringside. It’s another back and forth affair here with Coleman nearly pinning Stevens off a backslide at one point. In the end a missed Sky Splitta from Coleman allows Stevens a chance to take him down with a nasty Unnatural Causes  brainbuster across his knee for the win. As Hardy and Cedric are helping Coleman out Stevens grabs himself a mic and in an unexpected move speaks out to the QCW Tag-Team champions declaring that their titles are the reason he’s come to QCW and the past few weeks taking on singles matches have just been to show them who they’re dealing with.

Eddie Cruz vs Ethan Case
In a second match that plays into some tag-team drama we have one half of the former Team Lucha Eddie Cruz is taking on the man that upset Caleb Konley, Ethan Case. Case is out with his girlfriend Taeler Hendrix throwing streamers into the crowd and again Jay Rios is loitering around a Cruz match. There’s good offense from both men with Cruz showing that he can go alone but in the end a pop-up forearm leads to him being pinned. After the bout Rios looks at Cruz and shakes his head before going to leave but this time Cruz rolls out and grabs him by the arm and turns him around. Cruz asks what the issue is and Rios just shoves him down and leaves.

Gunner vs ----
The next segment is raw footage with Mattman Harris talking overtop and explaining what exactly went down and why there’s no main event for this show. Gunner is shown waiting in the ring for an opponent when a production crew member comes in and begins whispering to him. Mattman informs us that he was relaying a message from Truitt Fields who was waiting in the parking lot behind the arena. Gunner quickly leaves the ring and darts towards the back with a camera man shooting after him slightly behind. We switch to that camera footage and it comes up on a door to the outside just in time to catch Gunner go down and yell as soon as he went through because of a pipe slammed into his leg from behind. A black clad Truitt proceeds to put the boots to Gunner and then hits him in the gut with the pipe before smashing it across his back for good measure leaving Gunner in a heap.  After that last blow he quickly runs off as arena security arrive.

Jay Rios’ Problem
Jay Rios opens up the show in an open vest and sunglasses with a mic and actually answered Eddie Cruz’ question from last week. He says that his problem is that he, someone so blessed with talent and look should be a star by now but he’s been held back by Eddie Cruz’ riding his coattails and weighing him down. He’s been watching and waiting to see something that could change his mind but that time is over and he’s his own man now.

The Coming Storm
We go to a interview from earlier in the day with Tessa Blanchard speaking with the QCW Magnum champion Richie Steamboat. She quickly mentions that she will be wrestling tonight before asking Steamboat about his upcoming match with AJ Styles for the number one contendership. Steamboat starts answering excitedly but gets stopped when the QCW Heavyweight Champion James Storm entes the shot with his heavy Brodus Clay behind him. Storm swings from a beer bottle as he circles Richie a little and looks him up and down. He reaches out to touch the bandage on Richie’s forehead making Steamboat jerk back.

“I see you got quite a cut there on your head boy. I can’t imagine what that came from. But that’s not what I’m here to chat about. I hear you went ahead and got yourself a match to try and earn a shot at my title. I’d wish you luck normally but hell, we all know that won’t do much here. You’re gonna be in there with AJ Styles. The Phenomenal one! I’ve beat AJ a couple times but I’ll tell ya boy it’s not an easy task. That man is one of the greatest wrestlers to ever walk god’s green earth...and you think you can beat him? You’re pretty good but you’re not that good and if I was you I wouldn’t let my heart get set on wrestling for this championship right here because it’s just not gonna happen. When you see AJ next week tell him I’ll see him at Rebellion.”

Storm and Brodus leave Richie looking angered and bothered as we go back to the ring.

Reby Sky vs Tessa Blanchard
We rejoin with Tessa Blanchard happily coming down to the ring alongside her training partner Jordynne Grace for her first singles match in QCW. There’s some quick talk on commentary about their mentor Mia Svensson being set for a championship bout with Charlotte at Rebellion. Reby Sky is out next and the match is one. Both women get some stuff in but this is clearly Tessa’s match getting in more and finishing Reby with a Hammerlock DDT.

House Arrest
We cut over to Ric Flair’s home during the TV taping earlier in the day and it’s actually he and Truitt Fields in the office. Flair is angrily ranting at the seated Truitt who really isn’t paying attention. Flair is telling him he’s lucky he’s still got the job that James Storm lobbied for and that he’s going to be held here today to make sure todays show goes off without a hitch since Gunner could be around.. The only reason Truitt is still employed  at all after that pipe attack is because he’s shown talent and because Gunner would freak out if he couldn't settle this. Truitt starts to say that Gunner would be happy to just see him gone because Gunner knows that his time is about up. Before they can get too deep into it there’s some comotion from outside the room and soon the door is kicked in. It’s Gunner and he looks pissed. The two attack each other while Flair yells for them to stop. They don’t though and Gunner bounces Truitt’s face off the wall and slides him over the desk. He grabs Truitt up by the head and has some very quick words with Flair who’s still trying to stop this and a question about how Gunner found out Truitt was here  before Gunner just pitches Truitt through Flair’s window to the front yard. At this point Gunner looks out at his work for a second before turning and walking past Flair, who is losing it, and out the door.

Caleb Konley vs Ethan Case
And in our mainevent we have a rematch from the other week with Caleb Konley taking on Ethan Case. Konley comes down first and just looks off and kind of twitchy. It seems his unbeaten streak being broken is still haunting him. Case and Hendrix are out next throwing streamers. In the ring when Case goes to throw his last handfuls Konley attacks him from behind and stomps him into the mat sending Hendrix running. The official pulls him away and the bout starts but Caleb maintains advantage with a big dropkick. Case gets offense in but Konley keeps turning it around right until Case sends him running into a corner and then trips him up for a jackknife pin that earns the win. Case dips out and gets his arm around his girl as Caleb screams in the ring alone. Case is tied but and Hendrix just looks bothered at the fit happening in the ring.

HendrixKOnley youtube.png

The next morning a video pops up of something shortly after Ignition. Caleb Konley sits alone in a dark spot in the back ripping off his wrist tape and loosening his boots. As he’s doing this Taeler Hendrix steps into the shot infront of him with her wringing hands up near her chest and her face looking worried or uncomfortable. She quickly starts babbling and even though it’s quick and run together we’re able to understand that she’s just a little worried about Caleb’s state of mind after seeing him up close a few times now. After she finishes Caleb stops and looks up at her for a couple seconds before standing up and getting close to her. He tells her she needs to stay out of his business because he doesn’t need some clown’s girlfriend worrying about him. What he needs is a win  so unless she can help with that then she can get lost. He brushes past her leaving her looking confused and upset.

House Hardy
After a brief welcome from Mattman Harris we shoot over to a recording from Matt Hardy’s personal training camp at his home. He, Cedric Alexander with a crutch under one arm and Caprice Coleman all stand in the ring and Matt speaks about what they’ve had going on. He says he knows there have been setbacks but that’s part of the learning process. Turns out Matt has got another match set up for Rebellion. It’ll be another match with The Revival but this time it’ll be Matt and Coleman facing them.  Both Alexander and Coleman are fine with this arrangement and we end with Hardy telling them it’s time to start training for the day.

Lil’ Naich Isn’t Enough
In another away segment we join Ric Flair outside his home where his window is still being repaired. Gunner stands just off to the left rolling his wrists, listening to Flair’s words. The boss begins talking and makes it clear that he believes this situation with Gunner and Truitt has got to the point that it’s not going to easily settled by a match. When they tried last month officials got got mowed down and now, as we can see, things have gotten more intense. As a result Flair has come to the conclusion he needs some help here keeping this thing under control so when Gunner and Truitt faceoff at Rebellion there will be a special referee to maintain order. He hasn’t found the right person for the job yet but promises it will be someone who can do the job. In addition to this to make sure that Gunner is preoccupied at Takedown he will be taking on Christopher Daniels in a one on one bout.Gunner finally stops and looks at Flair, dead in the eyes in fact.

“Ric, I’m tired of all this. You want me to wrestle Christopher Daniels so I don’t have time to drag Truitt all over your TV program? That’s fine but I’m telling you right now when we get to Rebellion I’m going to end it. Whatever referee you have picked better be able to keep up because if there’s no one to count the pin, I swear I’ll break his neck instead."

Flair looks a bit shaken at the words as Gunner walks off.

The Revival vs Corey Hollis and Chip Day
Back in the arena we have a new team making their debut in Corey Hollis and Chip Day.  Unfortunately for them they go against The Revival. The tag-team specialists  use their team-work tactics to decimate the two men, finishing the match off with a Shatter MaAchine to Day. After the win they get a mic and taunt Hardy, Cedric and Coleman saying that subbing in a broken and old half of an out of date tag-team isn’t going to make things go any different. The Revival are still the best team in QCW and will beat Hardy’s crew again before going after Morton and Adam Page’s Tag-Team Championships.

A Stand Up Sitdown
We go next to raw footage of what appears to have been a sitdown interview with Wes Brisco by Tessa Blanchard. We go in midquestion, not even really hearing the question itself because Tatanka soon enters the scene. Wes jumps up and kicks his chair away and looks ready for a fight But Tatanka keeps his distance and puts his hands up. Tatanka speaks outloud  and says he’s not here to fight but to make peace. Wes cuts him off and says that Tatanka is here to convince him to dress up and dance around like a cartoon character and he won’t do it. Tatanka gets louder and says that’s exactly the opposite of what he wants. He doesn’t want Wes to be like just him. They don’t have to do things the same way or live the same way to get along. Tatanka just wants Wes to be who he wants to be. He doesn’t have to be like Tatanka nd he doesn’t even have to be like Jerry or Jack Brisco. He can be whatever or whoever he wants. Tatanka just wants peace between him and whoever Wes choses to be. Wes looks a bit taken aback but still angry as Tatanka leaves.

Christian York vs Jay Rios
In the mainevent we have a really fast paced match between veteran indie star CHristian York and the new version of Jay Rios. Rios wears his open white vest and sunglasses as he strides down to the ring. York tries using his power but Rios athletics keep him on his toes with Rios at one point flipping out of a powerbomb attempt, landing on his feet and drop kicking York in the chest. In the end Rios sends York into a corner, follows in and does a handstand on the ropes over York for a second before swinging back down and catching York with a massive DDT that flips York completely over. After that the pin is easy.

Stylesyoutube.png

Some time during the day a video goes up online. As soon as the video plays we see it’s most likely cell phone footage due to the quality. A very casually dressed and somewhat tired looking AJ Styles in his home in Georgia. That’s right, The Phenomenal One is back in the states. AJ addresses the number one contendership situation and starts off with James Storm’s taunting of Richie Steamboat. Styles rearims Storm’s words about him(AJ) beng hard to beat but says that he has no business discounting Richie Steamboat. Every man has a chance in that ring and the better you are the better chance and AJ knows that Steamboat is very, very good. Does that mean AJ is going to just lay down and lose? No! AJ wants wants Storm and that title and then he wants to carve his way through Storm’s crew. So Steamboat better be ready for a war because AJ is gonna give it his just like always.

Gunner vs Christopher Daniels
Opening up the show tonight we have a huge match, Gunner taking on the last number one Contender for the QCW title, Christopher Daniels, in what is sure to be a great match. On commentary Maddox and Tessa run over the fact that this match was made to give Gunner something else to focus on besides revenge plots against Truitt Fields. “Bulletproof” kicks in and Gunner burst through the curtains instantly. He quickly bounds down to the ring and rolls in before looking out at the fans real quick before going to his corner and working his wrists, waiting. “Disposable Teens” starts up but after a few seconds of no Christopher Daniels the music stops. Gunner is asking the confused official about what’s happening when the two screens on either side of the entrance curtain fill with an image. Christopher Daniels is down in a heap in the parking lot moaning in pain. Gunner obviously knows something is up and exits the ring, following crew out to the lot. When he steps out the door he does it cautiously, looking around, ready for something. After checking on Daniels with the doc and crew he stands back up and resumes looking around. A sound from the left is head and he looks out that way for a long moment before relaxing just a bit. At that moment he’s blasted from behind in the back by Truitt Fields! He was apparently hiding behind a car or something. Gunner shoves him off into a nearby car though. He comes in to attack but Truitt grabs him by the trunks and pulls him down into the car, his head hitting the side. Truitt scrambles up, grabs Gunners head and swings it back into the car again before sliding his arm under Gunner’s, shuffling sideways and giving him the Killing Fields Uranage across the car’s hood. After that he darts off again after security pull him away.

Tatanka vs Kahagas
After a break we go back to the ring where the “Tokyo Monster” Kahagas waits in the ring for his opponent. The famous war-cry rings out and Tatanka is quickly trotting down to the ring to meet him. On commentary there’s some talk about the  words Tatanka had for Wes Brisco on Ignition and speculation on the issue between them being resolved or not. After taking his headdress off the bell rings and the fight is on. Both men play the power game in the match and with Kahagas being the younger of the two men he manages to get more attacks in but Tatanka made his count more because in the end he was able to put Kahagas away with a Wakinyan Side Slam. Tatanka doesn’t have much time to celebrate because pretty much as soon as Tatanka stands up he’s attack by The Premiere! Amber O’neal is on the outside yelling orders,  focusing Vain on the beatdown and yelling for JLN to get the headdress. The goonish duo follow her plans and soon JLN has ripped the headdress away from the bellkeeper and handed it to O’Neal. Tatanka starts making a comeback, tossing Jeremy Vain around but it doesn’t last because JLN returns and hits him from behind. The two plant him with a Magic Killer before rolling from the ring and retreating to the back with the headdress wearing Amber O’Neal between them.

Ethan Case Interview
Brad Maddox stands infront of his interview desk and asks us to give a warm welcome to the first guest of the night. “Money for Nothing” kicks in and out on the stage come Ethan Case along with his girlfriend Taeler Hendrix. Case is dressed in a a lime green suit and Hendrix in a pink dress. Both throw out some streamers towards the crowd. They make their way over and after a handshake with Maddox Case even jokingly throws a streamer on him.  Maddox gives it a bit of chuckle before everyone takes their seats and questions start.

- Just putting my notes to the side for a moment I have to ask now. What’s the deal with the streamers?

"Oh it’s simple, man. It’s fun and Ethan Case is all about the fun, baby.  Watching them fly through the air just brings some joy to the heart. Some people like to crap on it but hey, I’ve never seen anyone look grumpy when they come their way."

- Fun. Let’s talk about that too. You talk a lot about fun and you also call yourself “The Personification of Sports Entertainment”. These days everyone seems to treat “Sport Entertainment” like  dirty word preferring to double down on “wrestling” and serious competition. How do you feel about that?

"Well I love wrestling, of course. It’s all wrestling just some styles have little different slant on it. I grew up watching guys in bright colors and facepaint and tassels who entertained people AND won matches at the same time. I don’t think there’s a need to be some stuffy old “Grr, I’m a big mean wrestler!” guy to compete. I come out and I put smiles on face but at the same time I think I’m one bad Mamma Jamma. Just ask Caleb Konley."

- Speaking of Konley, I have a question for Taeler. Recently a video…

Speak of the devil, before Maddox can get his question out Caleb Konley has stalked out onto the stage dressed in his gym clothes. He deliberately stomps over to the desk where Ethan Case stands up. The two go face to face for a moment before Konley turns his eyes to Maddox. He leans down to Maddox’s desk mic and lears at him as he delivers a simple message with quiet and unsettling words.

“Times up. You and me at Rebellion.”

Maddox look a bit confused but speaks back.

“Now? I thought you moved on. I-I-I don’t think-

Konley cuts Maddox off real quick.

“Did it sound like I was asking you a question?”

At this point Case grabs Konley’s shoulder starts telling Caleb he should leave Maddox alone and fight him instead when Caleb shoots up and gets in his face. We can hear through the mic on Case’s shirt . Konley just screeches  in reply

I’ll deal with you when I feel like it!”

As soon as the words are out Konley swings the desk mic into Case’s head then throws it over the desk into Maddox’s face before he jumps over the desk onto Maddox and starts stomping  him. The security team of CW Anderson and Bob Holly rush in and pull him off. The rabid Konley kicks and screams the entire time they drag him away. We go to break off of a pissed off Maddox being checked on by medical, Hendrix and a staggered Case.

Charlotte Interview
We come back from the break with Tessa Blanchard having now taken Brad Maddox’s place at the desk. She quickly explains that Maddox is too flustered at the moment to go on so for the last interview of the night she will be here and commentary on the other matches will be her and Lodi.

After that explanation she welcomes out her guest for the night, the QCW Women’s champion Charlotte.  Charlotte’s music and the Queen comes out wearing black leather pants,a blue QCW T-Shirt and her Championship belt. She poses for the people before walking over to the desk. Tessa offers her a hug and Charlotte looks at her with a smirk for just a second before taking it.  Once they sit down the questions start.

- Last time you defended your title it was against Amber O’Neal and she employed the help of Jeff Lewis Neal and Jeremy Vain after they helped her ruin a commercial shoot you had. Despite their presence you showed no fear and overcame the numbers to win. How were you so calm knowing they were there?

Charlotte answers that Amber O’Neal can surround herself with as many clowns as she wants but it’ll never make up for the obvious fact that Amber just doesn’t compare to The Queen. She also adds that JLN and Vain are losers that no one should be running from. She and Mickie James have both showed them up.

- Speaking of Mickie James, during the number one contenders match between her and Mia Svensson you were asked about who you’d like to face more and you answered Mickie James.I’d like to know if you have any more explanation on that and how do you feel since Mia won?

Charlotte’s answer is that it never stops being an accomplishment to beat a decorated champion like Mickie James. It’s just as impressive as the first time. Mickie James is a star in women’s wrestling and Charlotte wants people see that she’s a bigger one. She talks quite a bit more about facing Mickie till Tessa is able to add in....

- And about Mia?

“Hmm? Oh, Mia. Mia is good but I’ve already beat her.”

- Like you’ve already beaten Mickie. I know you just talked about why you’d like to face her again but is facing Mia again really different? Is there another reason?

“Are you trying to imply something?  Because it sounds like you are.”

- No, I-

“Just like to talk about Mia. Is it because of that whole “Daughters of Valhalla” Twitter thing you two have going on with…*Charlotte struggles, looking for a name before snapping her fingers* Jordynne Grace? That thing where Mia runs you through day one wrestling school drills?”

Tessa looks taken aback at Charlotte suddenly getting so offended and hesitantly continues.

- No. It’s nothing like that. It’s just that she’s the number one contender now so I feel like you should be focusing more on her than Mickie James.

“You feel like I should? Didn’t you just have your first match in this company? And you hav-”

Charlotte stops short and takes in a breath and flexes her hands before looking back at Tessa.

“I’m really sorry Tessa. Today has not been the best and I’m letting it get to me. You have a point. Mia is next in line so I should look at getting ready for her.”

Tessa starts to answer back but Charlotte holds up a finger and continues.

“In fact I have a tune up match on the table for the next Ignition. So I’m thinking what better way to get ready for Mia than wrestling one of her protegee. I did it last time and wrestled Grace but you’re wrestling here now so how about me and you on Ignition. It’ll be fun. Two Horsemen’s daughters wrestling for the first time. What do you say?”

Tessa looks like this is the last thing she expected but agrees to the challenge of the smiling Charlotte before sending us to break.

Mia Svensson vs ODB
When we come back the number one contender is in mid entrance on the ramp with Jordynne Grace and Tessa Blanchard behind her as ODB waits in the ring. Mia climbs the ropes and lets loose a war cry before looking over at the interview area where Charlotte is still seated with her title on her lap.  The bell rings and what follows is a hard hitting match with both women wrestling as if they have something to prove. European uppercuts and hard punches are aplenty. ODB manages to keep her arm from too much damage and plays the power game slamming Mia down multiple times but Mia is no slouch and once sidewalk slams ODB before planting her with a “Thor’s Hammer” sit out powerbomb. In the end Mia gets caught on ODB’s shoulders but slides off and pulls her down into a Ragnalock. ODB fights for a bit but she has nowhere to go so when Mia adds more pressure she has no choice but to tap out. After the bout Charlotte claps and starts to leave but Mia grabs a mic and calls her down to the ring. Charlotte looks a bit confused and annoyed but comes down.  With her accented English Mia begins to question the way Charlotte has spoken about her. She says that she knows Charlotte isn’t afraid of her, instead it sounds almost as if Charlotte doesn’t respect her. Charlotte lazily answers back that she said that Mia was good. Mia says that it sounds patronizing. It sounds like Charlotte only respects people that have been on TV for years instead of people who have been grinding it out outside of the spotlight.  Charlotte sounds fake. It’s at this point Charlotte gets a little ticked-off.

“LOOK. You want to know why I say that you’re just “good”? It’s because I BEAT YOU, NO QUESTION!  I put you in the Figure-8 and you passed out and had your shoulders counted down. “

Mia laughs just a bit at this

“You want to talk about people we’ve beat? Let’s do that then. You did beat me. I passed out and I was pinned. No question, that’s true. But you also beat Mickie James 1,2,3. I think the difference here isn’t just respect. I think you question how you beat Mickie James. You played games and tricks when you won. I think you still think she’s better than you. I think you’re not sure if you can beat Mickie James fair and square.“

Charlotte doesn’t answer but just stares down Mia.

“But you know what? I know that I can. You beat Mickie James with tricks but I made her tapout. I made her give up. I beat her no questions in this ring. I did what you couldn’t do so I say it’s time you start treating me with the respect I deserve or I’m going to take your arm and your title at Rebellion just like that when I make you tap out too!”

Charlotte looks like she’s going to explode but calms down enough to get out a few words.

Fine. You want me to take you seriously again? You got it. Just remember, you asked for it.

It’s at this point Charlotte sticks out her hand. Mia looks at it and smiles as Grace and Blanchard behind her look cautious. Mia takes it and a tense handshake is made sending us into a commercial.

The Tag-Team Champions respond
We come back to the sight of the Tag-Team Champions Ricky Morton in the ring. Very briefly they address the situation with Mark Briscoe telling the fans that might not have been following online that Mark is fine and he only suffered a stinger. They move onto addressing the challenge from QCW newcomer and former NWA Tag-Team champion Chase Stevens.  It’s apparent Ricky thinks the challenge is crazy, stating that Stevens hasn’t earned a shot and even if past accomplishments merit one he doesn’t even have a partner anymore. Before they can get too much deeper the sound of glass shattering rings out and “Outlaw” kicks in, meaning this hellacious show is about to get crazier because Jay Briscoe. Jay rolls into the ring and snatches Ricky’s mic

“Man, don’t anybody give a s**t about Chase Stevens right now! You almost paralyzed my brother and then you went and tried to do it to me! What you two need to worry about right now is me shoving my foot up pretty boy over there’s ass! And I swear to god old man if you get in my way I will kill you!”

Adam Page and Briscoe start shoving each other and Page can be heard saying it was an accident. Before anything can happen “Natural Born Killer” by Avenged Sevenfold begins blaring through the PA system and Chase Stevens makes his way out to the ramp. He begins speaking about his challenge to the tag-team champions as Jay Briscoe leans back in a corner. Chase addresses the champion’s earlier words saying he’s not crazy, he just knows when the time is right for a win.  Chase walks down and enters the ring, getting right up close to Ricky Morton. He compares himself to Morton saying he’s everything the Tag-Team Legend is, just in a younger form. Chase Stevens is just a better Ricky Morton. He switches attention to Adam, saying he’s pretty good but criticizing him for inexperience. He says the whole team is broken, Ricky is too old to control Page and mold him into a good partner and Page is too green to know when he should listen and keep cool. It’s at this point Briscoe buts back in…

“Is that really what you interrupted me for? To tell us what we already damn well know?! Yeah Ricky Moron is a beat up, washed up ol’ man and Adam Page is a little sh*t! Anybody with a damn set of eyes can see that! Infact Page being how he is is the the reason he’s about to get his ass kicked! So if you wouldn’t mind, could you take Grandpa over here back to the home and-”

And again, music rings out. This time it belongs to The Revival. The Top-Guys come out with Dawson on the mic speaking as they slowly walk to the ring.Dawson states that if anyone is going to get their hands on the Tag-Team Champions any time soon it’s going to be them, not some Hillbilly and his half crippled brother and certainly not some early 2000’s reject with no partner. Why should The Revival get a shot? Well they just beat an actual Tag-Team in Cedric Alexander and Caprice Coleman and they’re set to do it again, this time taking out Matt Hardy. The Revival don’t care if it’s now or at Rebellion, they want the champions. There’s a ton of yelling and talking over one another at this point from everyone but Morton. Before it can’t breakdown a “Woooo!” rings out and the boss, The Nature Boy Ric Flair appears on the ramp. He clears this situation up and makes a match for the tag-team title number one contendership. The Revival will take on Chase Stevens and Jay Briscoe. If Briscoe and Steven really want to get to the champions then they’re going to have to work together here tonight.

QCW Tag-Team Number One ContendershipChase Stevens and Jay Briscoe vs The Revival
After a break we come back to the bell ringing and Dash Wilder locking up with Jay Briscoe.  The Revival use the same strategy they used on Cedric Alexander recently, working on Briscoe’s leg and battering the limb with ruthless aggression, tagging in and out.  At one point Briscoe gets a chance to tag Steven but doesn’t take it, opting to fight on his own but pays for it getting chopblocked and worked on more. Eventually Briscoe makes the tag and Stevens makes his way in. From there there’s still hiccups in strategy from the new team but as the bout goes on the two Tag_team Specialists seem to adapt and start working like real team, taking the lead in the match. In the end The Revival are setting up for a Shatter Machine on Stevens when Briscoe clobbers Dash from behind. Dawson turns and clocks Briscoe but when he turns back he’s scooped up into a Death Valley Driver and drilled down. Briscoe yanks him up and looks at Stevens before throwing Dawson to him so Stevens can finish him with the Unnatural Causes Brainbuster and pick up the win! After the match Page and Morton have moved to the top of ramp and Briscoe is mouthing off at them as a new top contender for their tag-titles...until Chase Stevens Sudden swings a chair nastily into the back of Jay’s calf. Jay goes down yelling as Stevens looks down at him. Stevens puts his boot on the calf and puts the point of the chair down into Briscoe’s knee making him yel more before pulling a mic from his trunks with the other hand.

“Hmm. Looks like my partner broke. Guess I need a new one. Fortunately for someone like me a partner is never too far away.”

Back up at the top of the stage Adam Page looks conflicted at Bricsoe’s yelling. Briscoe is no friend but this isn’t right. After a moment Page begins matching down and Chase pulls the mic back up and tells him to back off or else he’s going to make it worse. Page stops and looks back at Morton for an answer but ignores the “come back” from his partner and instead decides to try and dart in. He pays for it with a chair shot to the shoulder and one across the back before Stevens turns the chair on Briscoe again and brings the point down on his calf. Page rolls back in as Adam rolls back in to check on Briscoe. Stevens backs up the ramp as medical finally enter the ring to attend to Jay. “The Natural” takes a second to laugh at Morton when they pass before another break.

QCW Heavyweight Number One Contendership: AJ Styles vs Richie Steamboat
“Fly Away” comes on meaning it’s the Dragonborn’s time to come out. The QCW Magnum Champion Richie Steamboat comes out with a subdued smile on his face, looking perhaps a bit nervous. Commentary note that this isn’t the first time Steamboat and Styles have face off for a title shot on Ignition and that last time AJ pinned Steamboat cleanly and the match between the two seemed to be a turning point in AJ’s dark phase. After Steamboat enters the ring AJ’s music starts but AJ foregoes his normal entrance and marches down before taking a mic. He completely ignores Richie and begins to call out James Storm’s crew, specifically Truitt over the incident earlier tonight With Christopher Daniels. Richie tries to calm Styles but AJ just tells him that now’s not the time and calls him a kid. At this point Steamboat gets his own mic and somewhat angrily tells AJ he’s no kid and he’s getting tired of people acting like he is. Richie says he wants Storm and co just as much as AJ anyone else but he knows that they aren’t just going to come out whenever and that winning here is the way to get his hands on Storm. AJ just brushes that off and goes back to calling out  Storm’s crew so Richie marches over and spins him around. Richie says that this is his chance and he’s not letting AJ’s pigheadedness take it away. At this point AJ shoots back rather harshly.

“Look kid. I know I said all the stuff the other day about anyone having a chance in this ring but let’s get real right now. Last time we were here I beat you. Nothing’s changed since then so I’m pretty sure I can do it again. Easily. So there’s no reason for you to be so fixated on this. Go sit down and let an adult handle his business.”

Richie after hearing this shoves AJ and in response AJ shoves him back. The shoving eventually ends with Steamboat open hand slapping Styles as hard as he can. AJ bends over, straightening his jaw for a second before ripping his coat off and telling the official to start the match. The bell rings and a brawl is on with both men throwing down. Shots are trading and there’s even some rolling on the ground until AJ hits his spinning backfist and lariat combo. AJ maintains control for a while until he’s backdropped to the floor out of a Styles Clash and Steamboat vaults over the ropes onto him. Back in the ring a kneeling superkick almost gets Richie the win there. At some point Steamboat goes up high for a crossbody but AJ dodges it, making Steamboat crash.  AJ starts trying to get the Calf Killer on but before he can get his leg properly in place Steamboat is able to get onto his own back and pulls AJ into a crippler Crossface! AJ fights and manages to roll it over into a pin finally but Richie releases in time.

Near the end of the match AJ hits another backfist, staggering Richie to a knee near the corner. AJ looks at the corner and jumps up to the second rope Stylin’ DDT but Richie lurches forward and under AJ, grabbing him for a powerbomb. AJ avoids it with a big punch to the face, then pushes Richie out and tries to mule kick him. Richie dodges it though and climbs up on the ropes beside AJ and hooks him up for some kind of backdrop. AJ holds on for dear life and starts elbowing Richie in the neck, cutting him off. AJ readjusts himself so he’s turned to face Steamboat and looks to be trying to lift Richie up for some kind of Styles Clash from the ropes. Richie fights like hell through and soon the two are straight up grappling on the ropes all crooked and dangerously trying to get an advantageous position. Eventually AJ pulls his legs over the back of the ropes looking like he’s changed strategy to a sunset flip powerbomb but Richie separates AJ’s hands from around his waist and stands straight before headbutting AJ witch allows Richie a second to get his arm over AJ’s head and quickly haul him off with a nasty second rope superplex and then surprisingly Steamboat rolls through with the move to his feet and drops AJ with a Dragon’s Bite Small Package Driver to pick up the three count and become the new number one contender to the QCW Heavyweight Championship. After some replays we go back to the ring where both men have made it up from the mat. AJ staggers up with his hand on his neck and after a few second walks over and shakes Richie’s hand before pulling him into a hug. After some words between the two AJ raise Richie’s hand. Before we can soak in this moment too long James Storm and Truitt Fields charge the ring and attack and soon they’re joined by Brodus Clay. Tessa Blanchard points out that Truitt is actually banned from the arena and Lodi sarcastically but angrily points out how much good that’s done tonight. Ric Flair comes out to the stage and waves out Bob Holly and CW Anderson who run down and try to stop the carnage but get quickly taken down by Brodus and Truitt. After a few more moments of beatdown there’s cheers from the crowd as a limping and body-wrapped Gunner makes his way down with a metal rod in hand. He rolls in and gets a shot off on Brodus but just gets levels by a superkick from Storm. Storm directs traffic and makes Brodus hold Richie up and watch as Storm drops AJ with a High-Noon facebreaker and Truitt slaps his Rings of Saturn on Gunner until he goes limp. Storm gets in RIchies' face and promises him he won’t make it out of Rebellion before dropping him with a belt shot. This wild, wild night ends with Storm’s gang standing tall in the ring with AJ, Gunner and Richie all laid out around them.

April 24th

Maddoxyoutubes.png

In the early hours of April 24th a video goes up of the aftermath of part of Takedown. Brad Maddox is back with a medic who is cleaning a small cut on his mouth when Ethan Case pushes his way into the room with Hendrix slightly behind him in the doorway. Case begins babbling about getting Konley for Maddox until Maddox cuts him off. He says that Konley is never going to let him be unless he does something about it himself. Case questions what Maddox is going to do and after a breath in he answers…

“I’m going to kick his ass.”

The Premiere Are Who They Want To Be
We open up this Ignition with a short promo from Jeremy, Vain, Amber O’neal and Jeff Lewis Neal. Vai  is wearing one of those tacky t-shirts made to look like a suit jacket but it’s super tight and the arms are cut off. JLN is in a baby blue Ed Hardy nightmare while between them stands Amber O’neal wearing a pink bodysuit and most notably Tatanka’s headdress.  JLN starts ff the talking and picks on something Tatanka recently told Wes Brisco.

“Be who you want to be! You know who me and J-Vain want to be? We want to be the two dudes with the hottest chick with the sweetest headpeice...and what do you know, we are!”

Amber speaks next saying this is hers now and no one will ever get it away from her. Tatanka can dream on if he thinks it’s ever going back with him.

Chase Stevens vs Kamikaze Kid
We go to the arena where we find that Brad Maddox is in attendance on on the desk with Mattman Harris this week. After the late introductions Chase Stevens, the sole number one contender to the Tag-Team titles,  joins his opponent in the ring. Commentary start to go over the situation with Stevens and the champs and barely get through it before Stevens has hit the “Natural Causes” brainbuster for the dominant win.

You Get What You Give
We go to a shot of Truitt Fields outside of some very nice looking apartment buildings. He says that before this final fight with Gunner at Rebellion he wants to show what James Storm has helped him get and what Gunner should have helped him get if he were a real friend. Truitt hypes up this apartment and trashes Gunner all the way to the door when he stops short of opening the door, noticing it’s cracked slightly open. After a few tense moments of readying himself Truitt swings open the door and we see there in the middle of a destroyed living room in Gunner, sitting in a kitchen chair turned backwards just staring at the door way. There’s a curse from truitt before they charge each other and a fight breaks out.  We don’t get to see much because soon Truitt and Gunner barrel over the camera man and knock the equipment to the floor. We hear more of the fight, both en obviously taking blows before the camera is hit again and the tape ends.

Caprice Coleman w/Matt Hardy vs Silas Young
Back in the arena we have a match that in a way reignites an old feud. From the start Silas using his battering of Coleman to taunt Hardy at ringside over their past issues. Coleman manages to battle back and catches Young in victory roll for the win. After the match Silas tries to attack Coleman but together he and Hardy flatten him with a double team Twist of Fate.

Maddox’s Reason
After the match Maddox tells us that it’s time for the thing he’s actually here for tonight. After the break we come back to him in the ring on the mic. He begins going over all the taunting and needling that Caleb Konley has done over their time in QCW and how it’s affected him. Pushing him to work to get himself in fighting shape. He gets to the incident at the last Takedown where Konley physically attacked him and Maddox said that was it. He’s had enough. If Caleb Konley wants a fight a Rebellion then he has one. There’s cheers for Maddox but they quickly turn to boos as Caleb Konley emerges onto the stage holding a chair and a mic.

Brad...this isn’t about you. All I need is for you to crawl into Rebellion so I can end this...You don’t get to have a moment.”

Konley drops the mic and makes his way towards the ring but stops short when Chad Gable and Peter Kaasa jump the rails and roll into the ring with Maddox while Rick Steiner comes from behind the announce area. Konley has a weapon but Maddox has the numbers! Maddox rolls up his sleeves and he and Steiner’s boys tell Konley to drop it and get in for a fair fight. Konley just seethes for a bit before throwing down the chair and marching to the back.

Charlotte vs Tessa Blanchard
An in our mainevent we have the QCW Women’s champion Charlotte taking on one of the protege of her Rebellion opponent Mia Svensson. Tessa makes her way out with her training partner Jordynne Grace at her side while The Queen makes her way out alone. The match starts in Charlotte’s favor with her roughing Tessa up but Tessa is able to get the advantage and bring it to the champion for a bit until she’s cut down with a huge spear and locked in a Figure-Four that earns Charlotte the win.

April 28th 2016

gunner gym.png

On April 28th a new Youtube video pops up. It’s shaking cam footage of Ric Flair confronting Gunner in a gym. Gunner is sat on a bench after having apparently having his set interpreted by Flair because Flair is standing, looking down and him and is loudly talking, almost but not quite yelling. Captions inform us of what’s mostly being said. Flair is reading Gunner the riot act over his recent recklessness. He asks Gunner what flying off the rails has gotten him. His knee banged up and his ribs taped in place? He tells Gunner that this type of crap can’t continue so he needs to remember that this is wrestling, not a street fight. It ends with a pin, not an ambulance ride. If he keeps going at it how he is then it’s never going to end well for him.

May 1st 2016

blkyoutube.png

On the morning of May 1st a video goes up on QCWrestling.com and YouTube. We fade in from black on a pair of feet in boots. The view slides up slowly and we see leather pants, a studded belt, a shirtless body in an open leather jacket and lastly, his face...

Spoiler

jerichoyoutube.png

Chris Jericho! Jericho says that he’s been watching what's going on in Queen City wrestling and one thing has caught his attention more than anything else. This issue between Truitt Fields and Gunner. He goes into just a little detail explaining how nasty it’s gotten before getting to Ric Flair’s decision to use a special referee at Rebellion. Jericho says that he agrees with Flair that someone needs to step up and step in. Someone needs to be there to keep order and now nobody needs to worry about who that man will be. Why?

“Because on May 7th I’m coming to The Queen City but I’m not just coming to sing a song, oh no no no no. Chris Jericho, Y2J,the best in the world at everything I do is coming to keep order and be your referee.”

Jericho says that not only will he make sure there is a pinfall but he will also make sure this stays between these two. It doesn’t matter if it’s Brodus Clay or even James Storm himself. All interference will be stopped. This will end.

Eddie Cruz vs Harlem Bravado
We open this show with a quick match between Eddie Cruz and Harlem Bravado. Lancelot Bravado tries to help his brother out but eats a Cruz plancha for his efforts. Eddie is able pin Harlem after a springboard blockbuster. After the match he points out to Jay Rios who is sitting in the crowd pretending not to pay attention.

An Explanation
After the match we go over to Mattman Harris and Lodi on commentary where they explain tonight’s mainevent. It seems Tatanka had challenged The Premiere to a handicap match and the challenge was accepted.

Caleb Konley vs Chad Gable
Back after the break we come back To Chad Gable making his entrance for this match alone. Commentary point out that Steiner and Kaasa are apparently with Brad Maddox helping him prepare for Rebellion.  Before Gable can even get in the ring he’s jumped from behind by Caleb Konley. Konley lays in a huge beatdown ending with a Gory Facebuster across the steel steps. The match is a total washout with Konley’s actions.

Mia Svensson vs Jessie Belle
Up next we have the number one contender to Charlotte’s QCW Women’s Title taking on a newcomer to the Queen City. Jessie shows fire and willpower but it’s clear who is superior her as Mia simply breaks her down and submits her with the Ragnalock.

Richie’s Last Words
We go to a set where Richie Steamboat stands alone. The Number One Contender to the QCW Heavyweight Championship begins addressing James Storm directly and tears into him over the attack at the end of Takedown. He says that Storm thinks this all gives him an easy win at Rebellion. But he’s wrong. Richie points out that at Rebellion he won’t have Truitt Fields to lean on because he’ll be busy getting ready for Gunner so that leaves him and Brodus Clay. The same combination Richie was against last month and he reminds us how that went by holding up his own Magnum Championship. Richie promises that he’ll walk out of Rebellion with both titles.

The Premiere vs Tatanka
And now it’s time for our mainevent. Tatanka enters in another headdress and waits in the ring for his opponents. All 3 members of The Premiere enter together dressed as they were the other week. Amber prances around the ring with Tatanka’s other headdress on as her boys enter the ring. Once the match is on Tatanka does his best to make the two pay but the numbers game takes it’s toll. In the end Tatanka hits the End oF Trails on Vain and goes into a pin but the official is kicked in the ribs by Amber O’Neal and the match is thrown out.  After the bell she directs Vain and JLN to attack Tatanka together and they do. This looks like the end for Tatanka until suddenly someone emerges from the crowd. It’s Wes Brisco! Wearing black leather tights and a red and black style of face paint Wes attacks JLN and Vain and together he and Tatanka put The Premiere down.  Amber O’Neal flees to the back as Vain and JLN are dominated. Tatanka takes questioning look at Brisco before giving him a nod of thanks.

May 4th 2016

truittwoods2.png

The day after the last Ignition before Rebellion a video from Truitt Fields makes it’s way online. Truitt is alone in the woods pacing back and forth. Truitt begins going off on everyone. The QCW fanbase for believing he’d run from Gunner. AJ Styles for mentioning him recently and again he goes in on Gunner blaming him for his(Truitt’s) homelessness and alcoholism.

“AJ Styles….AJ Styles is a good friend.  He stands up for his friends and helps the when he can. AJ Styles is what you should have been, Chad. He really is...but AJ Styles needs to realize this isn’t a place for friendship! If that’s what motivates him then he needs to stay awy from me and you. Christopher Daniels was a casualty of war. Our war! Anyone between us is going to get blown away! You can ask those referees about that and pretty soon you’ll be able to ask Chris Jericho about it. F**k Ric Flair and f**k AJ Styles. There’s no wrestling here and there’s no friendship. At Rebellion I put and end to all this and I get on with my new life and you end up out in the cold.”

For UK workers take a look at Tony Knox on Flickr although you have to go into his back catalog or grab them quick sicne he seems to have stoped having studio style pics up for long.

For Mexican indies and sometimes the big companies look at Black Terry Jr on Flickr you have to go through but hedoes studio like shoots in the locker room of these shows, I'd advice using something like cagematch to match up dates and location to try and get some of the names.

And I totally agree its just a real bitch for those of us just wanting to use 150x150 pixels of said images, before this the main problem was "who the bloody hell is this random UK wrestler"

Completely understandable. Even more amusing when you see a picture for a UK wrestler, and it just isn't that person but some complete random. I think Dirk Feelgood still has that issue in most EWR updates.
