  1. i hate when they split things up like that, so annoying
  2. just rewatched line of duty. still really good.

oh thats fun, during the task reading shots his reflection is definitely gone. it comes back for when he's actually in the water, but that was a nice little joke that I didn't catch first time.
  4. i've probably started about six shows since finishing Slow Horses, and everything I watch I just think... 'man, this is much worse than slow horses'. The only thing that's hitting is the new series of Resident Alien which bangs.
  5. It's absolutely nuts. The race has gotten more mainstream attention over the years, but is still a mess of secrecy. Participants don't know exactly when the race will start, the entrance fee includes a number plate from your home country, as well as whatever the race organiser feels he needs (T-shirts, socks, shirts, etc). There's no GPS, you use maps, and to prove you ran the course you have to rip the pages out of books hidden around the course. I really, really recommend tracking down the documentary "Barclay Marathon: The Race That Eats Its Young." It bounces around between different streaming platforms. If not there are other docs about in on YouTube that are worth watching.
  6. My wife and I are halfway through UK Traitors season 2, and while I do enjoy it, I wish there was an opportunity for more evidence-based deduction instead of just wild speculation. If there was more opportunity to actually identify traitors I think I would enjoy it a lot more, but I think concept wise I still prefer something like The Mole, even if production wise Traitors is much better.

    My New Short Film

I'm still owed a zoom meeting for this
  8. Legend telling Bradley Walsh his segment was bad is probably my #1 moment of the whole season. Also Sabre continues to be an absolute megababe
  9. On Richard Osman's podcast, Osman revealed that they have booked a gladiator for the next series of House of Games.
  10. watched all three seasons back to back in a weekend. incredible stuff.
  11. Fuck lads, Slow Horses is a bit good innit.
  12. Been watching Extraordinary, absolutely love it. "In a world where everyone gets a superpower at the age of 18, 25-year-old Jen struggles being the only person she knows who is an ordinary human." Yeah it's basically Misfits, but it is very good and has a banging soundtrack. Really like it.
  13. You know what I mean. The central premise is that they're retired, or have stepped down from their exciting role into a duller one, and get pulled back for whatever reason. Off the top of my head: John Wick 1, 2, 3, 4 Beekeeper Nobody Equalizer 1, 2, 3 Taken 1, 2, 3 Expendables 1, 2, 3, 4 Olympus, London, Angel has Fallen RED 1, 2 What have I missed?

    yeah, here's episode one:
  15. Rewatched All films 1-4 this week, and The Continental series for the first time. I enjoyed the TV show way more than I expected, but it's pretty long. Mel Gibson does a really good job as a hate-filled drugged up megalomaniacal religious nutjob on a powertrip, no idea how he managed that. I love the whole franchise, sure some are better than others, but like, that's true of everything. Just really great stuff without a huge drop-off. I'd love to see a fifth one And I wouldn't mind seeing more 'Stories from the John Wick universe'. I love the world-building.
  16. Fury is incredible. Easily my favourite.
  17. That actually tied up much better than I was expecting. Incredibly minor spoilers about the ending:
  18. i have no idea what the fucks happening in this show, like literally no idea
  19. lmao. yeah, it has big 'cancelled early' energy. I'll keep going, and get annoyed at the definite cliff hanger ending it will have.
  20. I watched a couple episodes this evening, I'm enjoying it, but it absolutely feels like the kind of show that will end on a massive cliffhanger and then get cancelled.
