It's been a very very shitty day for deaths (Dave Mirra, Axl Rotten, Joe Alaskey), and now this news pops up and yet another music legend has been taken away.

I heard about this last night on the radio.  Earth, Wind, and Fire are one of those groups that could always get me to smile or to stand up and dance. 

RIP Maurice, you really were a shining star.

EW&F are great fun. I mean, I only have their best of compilation but practically every song is great.

That is how I feel. They are one of those bands that was consistently very good at having a fun time and that is something the music press tends to overlook. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for them. Sad news.
