  1. The only show I've watched of the entire first 10 is Smallville, but I haven't seen the last season. The only thing I'm interested in watching is Bored To Death, really.

Same. But that I haven't watched more than a handful of Smallville episodes.... and I may have seen the first season of Bored to Death. Not sure if I ever finished that season though...

  2. A lot of people hated the finale. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I'm one of them. It just felt anti-climactic. I thought that the previous episode was a million times better and most likely would have been a much better finale. But, that's just a personal opinion.

  3. As things progress:

Congratulations Erik R, you've got a new friend in the club!

It doesn't happen often on Survivor when you see two people who are close to the finals literally lose the game in front of your very eyes in the same episode.. That's what we saw tonight with Coach and Albert. The editing sold that so clearly. The shock and disgust on the jury members faces said it all. Coach and Albert manipulated a 19 year old kid with faith and fucked him over for a million dollars. Sophie and Rick are both so close to winning the game. They just need to take out Ozzy first, than take the other one out and they've won.

I also need to give props to show itself for making me CARE about Brandon through this. At the beginning of the season and after his Mikayla shit, I was really disgusted looking at him. But then through the edits that he has been getting the past few weeks, I started sympathizing with him. I mean he's a really screwed up dude, and he literally thinks that these people will do him no harm. And to watch Coach squirm the entire tribal, you KNEW he was voting him out and that the kid was walking right into it. I just think this whole episode made me a Brandon fan, as stupid as his move was.

And please don't let Sophie win. She has been one of my least favorite the entire season. I'd much rather see Rick win it in the end, but she is in the best possible position and there is very few ways that she can't win it (If Ozzy .... or now BRANDON gets to the final being about it).

  4. Boardwalk Empire Season 2 Finale

WHAT THE FUCK?!?!? At the beginning of the episode I totally did not see that happening. Though once Jimmy told Richard that he had to do this on his own, I know something was going to go down. But really? I am still in shock they killed him off. Just, wow. But now it begs to question, what happens next? Is Richard going to go full on psycho and go after Nucky next season? Or will it be Jimmy's mom? Because I would totally love to see Richard go insane and avenge the only two people (Jimmy and Angela) who seemed to actually care about him and just start murdering the shit out of people who had a hand in it.

The Margaret/Nucky stuff doesn't interest me much any more, though it will be interesting to see what happens now that she signed the deed over to the church.

The second half of this season totally changed watching the show. Before it was just getting through it because I had all ready invested, but things picked up towards the end of this season and it was just a fantastic batch of episodes. I hope they carry this momentum into next season.

EDIT - Also did anyone watch the preview for Luck? I really want to like this show (considering I like horse racing, and some of the actors) , but that episode just felt really slow and boring. Though the preview for the season makes it seem like it will get better.

I still thought Jimmy wasn't going to be killed, even when Nucky was pointing the gun at him, I was expecting Nucky to end up killing the Russian guy, but holy shit, that was insane.

No idea what's going to happen next season, but I hope Richard does stay on, and I'm wondering if Nelson will come back, or if they'll just keep his character in hiding.

And since this isn't a spoiler, let me just say, does anyone else find Margaret to be the most unlikeable person on the show? I'm so hoping they'll kill her off at some point.

A million times yes. She wasn't that bad in the first season, but damn did she get annoying fast. I cringe when I know she has a scene coming up.

  6. This Tebow shit needs to stop. I just don't need to hear about him every day, especially at the expense of contributions from his teammates, who, y'know, didn't shit the bed for three and a bit quarters of a game.

Neil Reynolds even tweeted about the field goal that tied the game, no mention of Prater, but you bet your ass that there's a #TebowTime hashtag!

I know it's going to seem like I'm in a pissy because it's the Bears that lost, but it's because this is actually the first opportunity I've had to see him play. And by god, what an awful game to watch. I don't hate him because he succeeds or because of the media coverage, he's just horrible to watch. And he did nothing to win that game, it was gifted to them by a coaching staff that never ceases to amaze me with questionable decisions and players fucking up at just the right moments. Were Cutler and/or Forte in that game, it wouldn't even have been close.

I'm glad Martz is likely out after this year.

To be fair, his receivers did shit the bed most of the same time frame too. Six terrible drops.

Tebow vs. Brady is going to be a HUGE game next week (hype wise and with a terrible NE defense, potentially close). And it wasn't flexed so CBS gets to keep it!!! Only problem for me? The Eagles/Jets game is a 4:15 start, ON CBS!!! So I don't get the Brady/Tebow Bowl on TV   Guess I'm going to a bar so I can watch both.

  7. Fuck that. Thought OkState did enough last night.

An interesting point was brought up today. If Bama beats LSU in the game... who is the National Champion? I really wanted to see OkSt in the game, but it just means that once again I'm more interested in the lower BCS games than the National Championship. 6 years running now.

  8. Matt Forte - out for the game. So it is now down to Caleb Hanie and Marion Barber to lead the Bears to a win....

Oh, and in the same game Kyle Orton comes in for one play, and dislocates his finger.

Also, Chris Johnson is alive against Buffalo. And Cam Newton is doing everything today for Carolina (4/7 75 yds, TD / 32 rush yards, TD / 1 reception, 27 yards)

Some really exciting games going on right now. Football Sundays are a lot more fun not having to watch the Eagles lose... :crying:

  9. McCoy was playing like someone who had heart. Riley Cooper was playing like someone who had something to prove. Vince Young played like someone who was atleast trying to win a game..

Shady is the only bright spot we've had all year. Much of what I saw today was again terrible playcalling and atrocious defense. Seriously, how can one team be THAT BAD at tackling? It's mind-boggling.

  10. So was just playing through an entire RAW card, and in the middle of a Kelly Kelly vs. Maryse match.... ZACK RYDER runs down and beats down both women. Then he runs back up the ramp.... thinking about turning this into 'Zack Ryder hates Women' and just have him interfere in all women's matches from now on.

  11. Said it after they beat the Jets and I'll say it again. Tebow will not be a starting QB one year from today. "Tebow Time" is the wildcat offense. Defenses will catch up. This isn't college. You can't let your QB run 20 times a game. There is no way he stays healthy.

Anyone think Andy Reid survives the week?

I hope these are the last 5 games of the Andy Reid era. It is just time for him and his administration to go, especially Castillo. The defense was just an embarrassment tonight and has been the majority of the season. But not to put all the blame on Castillo, when you have a 10 point lead in the first quarter.... RUN THE BALL. Control some of the clock. It's not that difficult. And when everyone in the room knows you are going to run a play-action pass on 4th and 1 from the goal line when you haven't ran at all, you need to be better at play-calling. Ugh. Frustrated, but like I said a few weeks ago, I have no expectations for the rest of the year. Time to bring in a new coaching staff and get a change of philosophy around here.
