Year two of my Universe mode, and some interesting things.... Ezekiel Jackson won the Royal Rumble in year one and went on to win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania and as of HIAC in Year 2 he is still champion (including a run where he held both the US and WWE Titles). Also, Goldust won MITB at WrestleMania and attacked Undertaker at Backlash to win the World Heavyweight title, and his run has just ended at SummerSlam after the Undertaker won a Championship Scramble (there are tons of Scrambles at the PPVs). I did a little juggling of the rosters after Backlash and will do that every game year I reckon just to change things up. And well, I just won a #1 Contenders Tag Match with The Superfly Snakes (Snuka and Roberts) and post-match, Undertaker and Kane come out and give a dual chokeslam, which is first of that cutscene.
So Year 2 HIAC Matches:
United States Championship : Bunny Stevens © (a guy I created with bunny ears to become Goldust's tag team partner in The DustBunnies) vs. Sheamus
Tag Team Championship: The Hart Dynasty © (100x Tag Team Champs in Universe btw - it's like they win or lose it every month) vs. The Superfly Snakes (Snuka and Roberts)
Divas - Gail Kim © vs. Natalya
Intercontinental Championship: Rob Van Dam © vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Drew McIntyre
World Heavyweight Championship HIAC: Undertaker © vs. Batista
WWE Championship HIAC: Ezekiel Jackson © vs. CM Punk

Well, like Lint said, in Philly we tailgate a freaking Wing Eating Contest. Plus, the layout of the Sports Complex in South Philly allows for there to be heavy tailgaiting.
In any event, Giants vs. Phillies in the NLCS. Should be a good series with some great pitching. Plus, Pat the Bat returns to Philly.
And tonight is Game 5 - Rangers @ Rays, winner gets to play the Yankees. Do the Rangers choke away the series? Or will Cliff Lee dominate Rays hitters again?
-
Zero, sorry you had to witness the end of the Reds season, but Hamels just brought it tonight. And for all the talk about the great Reds lineup, outside of Phillips no one looked comfortable AT ALL the entire 3 games. I know they are inexperienced, but the guy who was supposed to bring that experience for them went 1-11 with 8 K's. Not good Scotty. And yes, it was against Halladay, Oswalt, and Hamels, but when the guy you are leaning on looks terrible, you are doomed from the beginning.
Anywho, congrats to the Reds for winning the division, and with that young nucleus, I'm sure they will be back again quite a few times over the next few years. But right now I'm happy it's 3 Straight NLCS Appearances for the Fightin's. Hopefully Atlanta comes back to win the next 2 against San Fran, because I do not want to see that Giants rotation in the LCS.
Maybe its just me being from outside of Philly..but I can't imagine NOT tailgating baseball...hell, we tailgate a f'ing buffalo wing eating competition..Tailgating Wing Bowl is a must though.
-
That was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had. It will most likely go down as the greatest baseball game I'll ever attend. At the beginning of the day I thought there would be no way to top 2008 NLCS Game 1 against the Dodgers that I went to, but boy was I wrong. This was awesome. Seeing not only Roy Halladay's first postseason game in his career, but seeing a No Hitter, not to mention only the second No Hitter in Post-Season history... it was fantastic. The atmosphere was great, Halladay brought it, and we were able to get the runs we needed for him.
GO PHILLIES
-
Hey, that's been my philosophy for years! I hope the Reds destroy the Phillies, and make Ryan Howard's fat ass cry. Then it's an easier road for a Yankee repeat.
I'd really like to see the Twins beat the Yankees. I mean they eventually have to, right?
-
Phuck all you Philly phans!
Ouch, that hurts.
Anywho, I agree with damshow's predictions, that's really how I want to see it go down Twins/Phillies World Series (as a Phillies fan), plus Thome vs. Phillies would be nice to see.
And on a related note, I'll be at NLDS Game 1 tomorrow, so yay

Honestly I feel this season is 'meh' so far. The premiere was pretty funny in parts, but last week and this week's boat episode (which I had high hopes for) have just felt, bland. Next week's preview looked like it has promise, so I'm hoping that it's a good one.
Also, I said this to my brother about it being 'meh' and he said that the guys don't write the episodes anymore (which isnt exactly true, Charlie and Mac wrote the boat episode) but the first 2 were not written by any of the cast, so maybe that has something to do with it not feeling as good as the older episodes?
-
Meh. Not as good of an episode as I was hoping. Though Brit getting more airtime is always a plus. Jacob Ben Israel in the library, hahahahaha. Also, I thought I'm a Slave For U was song of the night.
Also, STAMOS!!!
-
For the love of God, please get rid of NaOnka. I am sick of her, she just annoys the hell out of me...
Well, it happened, I figured Jimmy Johnson wouldn't last long, and last night he went. But the old people keeping Danny instead of him is laughable, that guy does nothing, oh well. Be interesting to see what happens now.
-
Coach Bieste needs to become a regular. I thought the character was just fantastic. Nothing particularly stood out for me to think it was 'great' but I need more Bieste.
And next week = BRITNEY!! This episode has to be awesome... has to.
-
Kelly the amputee is an early favorite for me. But I can tell you now, there aren't many candidates for people I like. Most of the 'Young Tribe' annoys the shit out of me. Likewise for the 'Old Tribe'. I'd have to say Kelly the amputee, Jimmy Johnson, and Jud seem to be the ones I hope go far, and am really pulling for the Old Tribe because the young'uns are getting on my nerves.
NaOnka needs to go NOW. I hate that chick, she is such a bitch. She thinks she is all that and all, but I really hope the young tribe gets sick of her and get her out of there.
I am all ready sick of the Medallion of Power. I can understand why they added it (the probably felt it would give an even playing field for the Old Tribe) but I just dont see the appeal of this team has an advantage, now this team does, etc.

Well, after continually saying that Kolb is his QB...
Eagles Name Vick StarterThe Philadelphia Eagles have named Michael Vick their starting quarterback. Andy Reid will be available to the media at 6:30.
Now I dunno if that is for the remainder of the season or not, but at least for Jacksonville this weekend, the Birds are sticking with Vick, and, as an Eagles fan, I am pumped.
EDIT: beaten, but the fact still remains, let's go Vick.
-
So during the Eagles/Packers game last week my brother, his friend (a Cowboys fan), and myself had a discussion about Sean McDermott and how long he keeps his job as D-Coordinator for the Birds. Well, we came to the consensus that he has this season to prove himself as last season he was just thrown in there after Jim Johnson passed away... and well 2 weeks in and he's not giving me hope for the future of our defense. They have flashes of being pretty good, but then they shit the bed. Last week, Rodgers turned it off and had trouble getting it back on, and thats how we stayed in that game. And this week, we have a good lead and then they just let the Lions creep back and almost take one away from us. McDermott has gotta do something fast or it's not gonna be pretty.
The other Philly situation - Vick looked good yesterday. Now, with Kolb apparently coming back next week @ Jacksonville, it's decision time. If Kolb comes out and has a terrible game, Reid has got to decide, because should Kolb blow again next week, does he stick with him or does he realize that Vick gives us the chance to 'Win Now' and after this week's game, the NFC East is wide open, with the Birds, Giants, Redskins all 1-1 and Cowboys 0-2. How long of a leash does Kolb have this year? I'm hoping its not long, but I'm a fan and I want to win all the time, esp with the weapons we have on offense. So this is still an interesting situation to watch out for.
Also, while Quinn has sucked it up in the Pros, it's not fair to write off Clausen, yet. And Ryan Fitzpatrick takes over for Trent Edwards? Meh. They both aren't very good, and they did this whole musical chairs thing last year, and neither was any good, so it won't make much of a difference.
-
So, how much trouble are the Eagles going to get into in regards to Bradley Stephens and Kolb ?
I don't know about this Bradley Stephens character , but they'll get in a fair amount of trouble for Kolb. Probably it would be fines and nothing else though.
Watching the game live, we were astonished that they had let Bradley back after his stumbling act. I would figure they would get into more trouble with that one than Kolb? I mean that was just terrible watching, and clearly it looked like something was wrong to everyone sitting at home, but they sent him out there.
-
It's awesome for me, because I desperately need a back with some fantasy value.
Also, I was watching a stream at work on Sunday, and happened to catch that Weaver injury when it happened. It was really weird, because we were about to leave, and had just switched to it for a second, then *BAM*, got Theismann'd. Nasty, nasty injury.
Yes, watching it live and seeing your teams only backfield blocker's leg pretty much snap was chilling. It was such a sickening thing to watch.
And I have been calling for the Vick Era since the Birds signed him last year. I was at the Kolb vs. Saints game last year and I didn't like what I saw, and well, before getting the concussion Sunday, he looked absolutely terrible with a Packers D missing some key secondary people...
Oh, and lol Jets offense. What the hell do they do from here? They don't even trust Sanchez to throw a deep pass. They need to fix this if they are going to come close to living up to the hype.
And a question to pose to the rest of you, is the Alex Smith experiment over in San Francisco? And do they have a better chance to win this year (since the West is not very good at all) with David Carr taking over?

I've watched more soccer in the past 2 weeks than....ever, and that was one hell of a game. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Fantastic Movie. I think the best of the 3 really. However I didn't get as 'emotional' as some of the other people I know who have seen said they got... but it was a splendid film nonetheless.

I get to #1. I've seen Bio-Dome (multiple times in fact.... what? It isn't terrible).
And I've seen the following:
1. Bio-Dome
11. Screwed
12. Miss March (it put me to sleep)
24. Whipped
26. Date Movie
27. Mortal Kombat: Annihilation
29. King's Ransom
32. Adventures of Pluto Nash
33. Slackers
35. Cocktail
36. Stange Wilderness
39. New Best Friend
42. Freddy Got Fingered
50. Glitter
53. Kung Pow
55. Rollerball
61. Carpool
63. College
65. 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag
69. Beverly Hills Cop III
72. The Cookout
73. Tomcats
82. Showgirls
83. Billy Madison
85. Urban Legends: Final Cut
86. Half Baked
101. Prom Night
107. 88 Minutes
112. Kickin It Old Skool
122. Valentine
126. Surviving Christmas
132. Dumb and Dumberer
138. Lost and Found
140. Old Dogs
142. Underclassman
148. Vegas Vacation
152. Corky Romano
154. Joe Dirt
155. Whatever It Takes
161. First $20 Million is Always the Hardest
172. Summer Catch
177. Held Up
178. Van Wilder: Rise of Taj

So... I've seen 46.... ugh. But Joe Dirt, Held Up, Vegas Vacation, Beverly Hills Cop III, Billy Madison, Bio-Dome, Carpool, Underclassman, and Slackers aren't BAD movies.

Lion King is where it's at.
Come on, now I'm just waiting for 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight'. If they can devote an hour to Madonna... let's get some LION KING!!
-
The original Shaft. Not the Samuel L. Jackson one, but the Richard Roundtree one from the 70s. I think it's enjoyable and a decent Blaxploitation film. Also, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, while being a spoof, is a good spoof of the genre.

E A G L E S, EAGLES.
Haynesworth is stuck. That contract is too much, and unless the Redskins decide to PAY him to play in Tennessee, they're stuck.
