  1. Design a poster to get people to rally behind the England 2018 World Cup bid. You have to design the logo, feature some players likely to feature at the tournament, remember it's 11 years away so Gerrard and Lampard probably won't be there, and something to make it distinctively English. Obviously, it's your design, so you can tweak those guidelines if you please, it's just an idea.
  2. Yeah, because surely then they're playing the opposite to you.
  3. Same-ish, I alter them a little but not much, but that doesn't prove to be a problem with other clubs. I'll try mixing it up next time I play on it.
  4. It doesn't make sense, we hammer Norwich, Sheff, Wolves and someone else (Southampton ?), then lose to Accrington Stanley, Luton, West Brom (fair enough, I guess), Derby, Leicester and Southend. I've brought in a few decent signings, the tactics are fine, trainings schemes are the same (well similar) I always use, so I can't really see why it's doing it - except we can't get a shot on target, ever. Eh, you're right, it is realistic. Oh and THE most annoying thing is the chairman saying "we'll allow you to overspend on a quality player, so long as we don't go over the clubs finances", I needed an extra 50k for Bale, yet it didn't give me the funds. Ken Bates all over that, overspend means less than 50k.
  5. I hate how I started a new game with Leeds, we did well, and about 5 games in they decided to become shit, get a few injuries and start losing every game.
  6. Ferdinand cost United £31,120,000. Leeds received £30,720,000. Zizou was around £45m I think. That probably doesn't include appearance fees, and I'm sure agents took a large chunk of the Rio money. And West Ham got some too. As for Zidane, I wasn't sure, I knew it was in the 40's because Figo was £37/38m
  7. Ferdinand was £34m once everything had been paid, we got about £20m of it and the rest went to fucking agents because Ridsdale et al didn't have a clue what they were doing. So no, it won't break the transfer record, and the world record would be 49m (?) for Zizu.
  8. I didn't read the end of the sentence, I stopped reading at "end of the season"
  9. Overness is a fans response to you, not a measure of your success. If the fans become sick of seeing you, that's negative, so you lose overness.
  10. Too many transfers too quick won't really help you Pesci, because your back 4 won't be settled at all, bring in maybe 2 changes in the summer and 2 in January. The release clause may have expired but check out Sergio Ramos because he's a world class central defender with only a 22m buy out fee.
  11. With the size of yours nufan, why not try rotating it 90 degrees, then it'd be 480 wide and 640 high, which won't look as bad when you resize it. It shouldn't affect the image either, as you can turn it any angle and it should look fine.
  12. Pesci, are your players getting past their prime maybe? And as for formation, I like to play 4-5-1 or if I'm a more aggressive team 3-5-2 (with attacking wingers and a defensive midfielder). I play whatever suits my team and players really.
  13. Wiki says striker and winger.
  14. He did well at Leeds when we started using him effectively and playing to his strengths; see last 10 games of the season.
  15. Right... so how does that prove he's a bad player? If anything it proves he's a good player because he's pretty much single-handedly carried them to a strong position in their Euro group. Whether the N.I. team is good or not doesn't make any difference to the quality of side he is playing against.
  16. Maybe almost 3 years of not training properly is getting to them? For me, my teams always suck if I don't use training methods.
  17. I'd use some kind of training tactics, you said you don't use any, that's probably why. Or mix up your tactics, eventually the game works you out and you have to change it up, make a new formation and change your playing style... Should work; so long as you get some decent tactics.
  18. Oh fuck right off. Hope the old bastard croaks it; roll on the abuse come Friday night. At least I'm guaranteed my season ticket under Bates.
  19. Not sure, but maybe your playing too defensive or with a counter attack, which might work against top sides, but not the bottom sides. That or you're just been unlucky.
  20. Lets be honest here. He wasn't playing with the best in the Northern Ireland side. He's had a few moments with NI, but he's done next to nothing with Leeds. I'll agree he's done nothing at Leeds barring the last ten games of last season, like I said. However, for Northern Ireland he's a prolific goalscorer, because he's getting good service. Yeah, Northern Ireland don't have the best players in the world, but I fail to see what you're arguing, surely that means he's working harder to make the team successful than he'd have to where he was playing with the best. Unless I've completely missed you're argument as to why Healy would be a good premiership player. Oh and I heard someone say Owen to Arsenal today, not sure whether they were making that up or if it's been reported somewhere. Could be a decent buy if it happens, but a little strange for some reason.
  21. I used to be half way good at this, I'll take a pop, but I'm 90% certain it'll be shite. I'll come 3rd at least I suck these days
  22. Anyone up for doing a network game sometime this week? I want a go at playing getting slaughtered in one I have it on medium-ish speed, but I can still read the majority of what flashes up, sometimes I miss things, but on the whole I know what's happening.
