I could never get into the All Star Weekend aside from the occasional HR Derby but it could use something new to attract the casual fans.

Like do all clubs do an Old Timer's Day game like the Yankees?

I wouldn't mind watching an Old Timer's All Star Game every other year or so. I know the NBA does the shooting contest with former players, so it would be an ode to something like that. Especially with the 100th ASG coming up around the corner.

I would also pay to see an Old Timer's NFL Pro Bowl.. >_>

Well that was a fun 16 games and two playoffs series for the "Big Three".

Kyrie being Kyrie and not getting vaxxed pushed Harden to this because he wanted to coast for an easy ring so now he'll strap onto Embiid and go along for the ride.

It should be interesteing to see how Simmons works well on the court with KD and Kyrie, he pushes up the floor rather than slacks behind like Harden so we should have a lot more fastbreaks which was lacking. Curry is a great piece to go alongside Mills and Joe Harris but I was really hoping we'd get one of their youngsters. 

Overall meh trade deadline.

Ben Simmons for James Harden trade talks have been reported on all week and I just can't wrap my head around having both the likes of Kyrie and Simmons on the same team. Kyrie was fine because he brought us KD, but Simmons is a whole other level with how much he's in his own head even.

I would support a fleecing of the 76ers purely because Harden doesn't seem fully committed and I'd rather have a headcase that wants to win than someone purposely trying to find another easy chip. But if it's just Simmons + cap for Harden then that's a major downgrade talent wise.

I'm more surprised we ended up grabbing Dorsey too. Interested to see where he goes for a DC but glad we finally got it done!

The situation is murky enough where I feel like I can't completely hate the Flores hire, but Daboll is still my preference pretty comfortably.  The general reporting is that Schoen slightly prefers Daboll and Mara slightly prefers Flores...so if Flores is the hire, it's gonna come across as Mara undercutting his brand new GM.  I'm bracing myself for it now.

Giants fans will be pissed either way honestly. 
 

I prefer Daboll mainly because I don't want a defensive coach and how slim pickings OCs are. That's not the best reason but Flores has shown he can't keep a steady offense coaching staff and I'd rather not dig up the likes of Chan Gailey again. 
 

Keep the GM and HC on the same page and see what we can do after we get an o-line together.

A proper restart is something we needed, no attachment and no requirement to keep players and coaches who would be fired/released next off-season anyway.

I doubt that scenario happens purely because Joe Judge handpicked him to be his assistant HC/DC. I wouldn't mind it but I feel like there is a better chance of Judge staying than this happening.

Wait until the Pro Day and all the QB hype will ramp up enough for a team or two to make a move. I think we're in a really good spot to get a top DE/OL.
