  1. So about 3/4 of the way through my second season with Leyton Orient. Promoted with ease out of the National League and on course to win League Two and above anything else, Dan Holman is the man. My coaches reckoned he was my third, maybe even fourth best striker in the National League but that didn't stop him scoring 51 goals and getting 17 assists in 53 starts (and 1 sub). But he was only on loan and I figured there's no way he'll be good enough in League Two, but he's contract was up at Cheltenham so I figured if he's happy with a low-ish wage and a backup role I'll take him as the fans love him.

He was so, so I signed him. By this point I had Ishmael Miller (signed in National League) and Macauley Bonne ahead of him and I was thinking of switching from 4-4-2 to 4-5-1 which meant he'd have no chance. How do you think that's gone? 32 goals and 8 assists in 37 starts. Man

I find myself getting undone like that constantly as well, it proper winds me up watching my team passing it around then just lose the ball and one ball over the top just splits them. Dunno what to do to prevent it either.

I had a "Much Higher" Tempo and Closing Down set to "More" as well as playing the offside trap. I changed my tactics to remove the offside trap and it has immediately produced results. 6 wins in 8 (the two defeats were cup games against teams in a higher division) with 15 goals scored and 5 conceded. So yeah, fuck you offside trap.

  3. So I'm being constantly outdone by long balls over the top. I've been playing with the offside trap so I'm gonna try turning that off, but playing counter, dropping deeper, structured/highly structured, none of that makes much of a difference. When I lost I tend to get thrashed, which is rather annoying. My defenders are all good quality for the level they are playing at so, I dunno.

  4. Jurassic Park and Back to the Future are the only main TT games I've never played. All of the other ones range from good-to-great with Walking Dead: Season One being my favourite purely from an emotional point of view.

Story wise I'm with @Liam Mk2, the second season of Batman is excellent and to a lesser extent season one. Forget everything about Batman and just delve in and it's really enjoyable.

If you have PS+, Beyond Two Souls is free for like a couple more days. Download it as soon as you can.

Is PS+ like Games With Gold for Xbox in that if you download it it's yours forever (as long as your a member)?

  6. So I've just joined the PS4 world and completed Heavy Rain over the weekend. What a great game, I know it's been remastered but for an 8-year old game it stacks up really well.

My question is this; I picked up Detroit immediately (got Heavy Rain packaged in) as I had heard a lot about, but should I go straight into that or get Beyond: Two Souls first? Again, heard a lot of great things about this as well.

This season has been really disjointed, but it's got the feel that in the last 4 episodes a lot is gonna come together.

See I don't understand how nobody saw this coming? I mean surely she must know how it works, the two tech guys will have had an idea the writer will have flat out known.

Big George is an absolute rock for that first season. Dalby and Bonne up front in a two are unstoppable but you need to sign a decent keeper (unless its been updated with Dean Brill as a player/coach) because the two young lads are rubbish.

Yeah I'm using the updated database so I've got Brill but don't have Dalby

EDIT: also Charlie Lee starts off with a 13-month cruciate ligament injury :(

  9. I'm not sure if I'm giving Jones too much credit here or what but I think he knew exactly what he was doing. He knew he wasn't stopping Hazard and he knew if he got a shot away he'd probably score so he fouled him in the hope that the referee believed he was going for the ball, therefore just giving a yellow and giving De Gea the chance from the penalty. Probably overthinking it but I really don't think Jones was going for the ball.

Does anyone else often arrange transfers to arrive at the end of the season? Even if it's pre-season of your current one? Sometimes I want to secure future signings and have them done to arrive the next summer to know they're coming in and better prepare it to reshape things. Immediate loan back always good to use too.

Always annoying though when someone has a release fee but it doesn't apply if you arrange it for a future date rather than immediately.

I tend to do this but usually by agreeing transfers when the window is closed, meaning they obviously hold off until the next window opens

  11. Has anyone ever come across an edit to the teams start money? I've got a blank database to start with (which amusingly has Arsenal's best player valued at £2.7m and Barcelona's at £600k) but figured if Chelsea, Man City et al had huge finances you'd end up with the same teams, figured it'd be fun to start with a relatively level playing field.

  12. So season two was great. Everything about it was perfect, they didn't rest on their laurels of the first season, building upon everything perfectly and taking a risk by not simply rehashing season one. Loved every minute of it as evidenced by my bingeing it across two nights

  13. It doesn't sound like the series is on hold you're right, I thought another announcement had been made.

The fact they just make such a bold faced lie about the patches being the last planned update pisses me off. Since when has EA of all companies not tried to squeeze every single penny out of people that they possibly can? There was absolutely single-player DLC planned, they've just bottled it.

  14. EA's involvement completely screwed the series. They came aboard after ME2 was finished so ME3's rushed ending apparently was due to their involvement and then Andromeda, while on paper a great idea sort of fell apart because of re-writes and deadlines, which screams of EA.

Right click the image in imgur, copy the address, paste the address. If you're unlucky or too quick, you get a 'blob' link and you need to refresh the imgur site.

    Perfect, thanks.

    Anyway, fuck you Monaco
