So apparently a supervisor at Best Buy miscounted the number of XB360 N7 Mass Effect's they had in. He thought they had extras and bought one himself. Apparently now he won't return it when it turns out that they're out of stock when I come to pick up my preorder. Wonderful, wonderful.

... because I would totally kick up a shit-storm over another person picking up their pre-order too, since I'm such a colossal dick. Of course he didn't pre-order it, are you serious?
So, battle won. Apparently he opened it but hasn't used any of the codes, so he's bringing it back in on Thursday for me to pick up.
