Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth-8/10 Yes..really. I don't know why, but a few days ago I decided to pick that up and play again. Kind of weird after having been playing HCTP so long. I have to say for those that just have it lying around somewhere...now might be the time to pick it back up and play through season. You forget some of the little things that happen...and it's just like 'cool'. Somewhat like playing it for a first time. Plus...the graphics aren't worse then HCTP.. :ohwell: They're just..basically completely different. Although the whole square for reverse thing, I recently realize sucks. It only works about 45% of the time when trying to time like HCTP. But anyways....still think it's a good game. And cool to pick up and play after not playing for a while.

Eh...evidently it's just me, but this is one of those shrug your shoulders things. I mean, yea I understand he snatched it away from a kid...but when it's two or more adults fighting each other for it...no one says anything? Is there a list of wrestlers that are confirmed to be in? Not all wrestler models are completed yet so no. Is all official WWE music in the game? Isn't it in every game? I've seen vids...and Orton has his music, Christian has his music and so on, so yes. Any legends? Yes. A match list yet? Umm..not that I can remember, but I think it's probaly some of the usual. I know Bra and Panties is confirmed. Is there create a wrestler mode or anything else like that? Yes, in fact if I understand correctly that's the only way you can go through season. In a rags to riches mode...so no going through Season as Chris Benoit or anything. It's a downside, but it may be cool. Any announcers and is there Raw and Smackdown with the newest draft? Don't know...pretty sure it's an updated roster though. So that would probaly be a yes...

Boxart Ehhh..the gold shadow is kinda iffy..and I dont see the point of Trish being up there. Maybe two other SD's on the other side, not Trish. But it's a decent cover, and the font looks cool.

As for the first part...like you I can't understand, seeing as like you said it's only a like 7 second preview of the actual upcoming game. Evidently they really even only have 2 actual models, or premodels whatever, that they are willing to show at the moment, so that may be good. Now, I'm not 'rolling in my own piss of joy' over the few seconds of vid..but it's not that horrible either. And if some of the second was at me, I doubt there is anyone that considers you "The enemy". At least on this topic . It's just that...well there's no such thing as a one sided arguement. Everyone one of the 'points' you mention, has a counterpart...and if someone feels the need to mention it why shouldn't they. Or in this case, why shouldn't I?

Pretty good video IMO...Funny how they showed the 'Evolution' of the game. And the graphics don't look bad at all..or blocky. I can't wait for both this and DOR to come out..they look fairly similar and it'll be great to compare. Cena looks to be done very well.. The voice at the end that says SDvsRAW is kind of..umm..weird though. Ok..you complain that it looks like HCTP? But you're one of the people who says that graphics don't matter...and it'd be better if they up the gameplay. How do you know they haven't and graphics have taken a backseat this time..even though the graphics don't look bad IMO..how much more 'super realistic' can they get anyways each year until it become virtual reality. Now not saying they have...because gameplay is probaly the same, which I add, I like, but the point still remains, you (we) don't know for sure.

Yea, kind of odd I guess...but it just sort of came to me as I was awaiting for Fear Factor to come on and realized I do this almost every week. So just wondering what shows do you have to watch on that certain do. (Not have to..but usually try to catch.) Monday- Fear Factor/RAW Tuesday- Real World Wednesday- Smallville/The O.C. (But both seasons are over now) Forgot to add Chappelle Show. Thursday- Umm..oddly Smackdown, even though I never really pay attention. Friday- I can't really think of anything for Friday..although I try to catch Road Rules or something for the first time. Saturday- Velocity Sunday- Oh yea..thx Hellfire. Sunday Stew. (Punk'd & Wildboyz mostly)

Just wondering, but does this also go for ESPN Basketball? Because I was actually thinking of getting that this year rather then Live 2005. And if this also goes for ESPN basketball I'll definitely be getting the cheaper one. Plus many seem to like ESPN basketball.

So basically this is about THQ, or Yukes, whoever makes the games stealing from them? Of course I may be wrong...but I find that hard to believe. I just don't think that randomly someone involved with the production of the game, would be searching some sites for even more gaming ideas (Ok, this part sounds wrong, I do know they look at some forums and stuff for ideas like some other games, but I mean for the purpose of poaching ideas) ...especially an independent wrestling game, that there wasn't even a LOT known about it, in terms of recognition. Now I don't doubt that the creators would use another wrestling game as a basis for new things...it's just the fact that I dont' believe it would be THIS game.

Now I agree...the SD's aren't the best, and after a while..they get somewhat repetitive...but so what? It's a game. Not every game you get, is supposed to be 'OMG, BEST. GAME. EVAR.' Like Tristy said...basically it's the only decent wrestling game there is available, because not everyone wants to have to pay a whole different country for a game..that they can not understand. And then have to somehow get a translator and all this extra crap or something. I mean..and it seems like all this stuff you want..would just make the game, not what it is. And no, I don't mean bad. What I'm saying is, now, SD is simplistic, the gameplay is where you can pick it up and start playing..and most of the time win. There's nothing wrong with that. It's for kids to..not just people who want 'The perfect game'. If my little cousins come over or something and want to play..I don't want to have to be like no, it's to hard for you. Or watching him sit there forever trying to do something...where as the SD game is like an arcade game and he could play as if he's been playing forever. But seriously..everyone talks of how they care more about the gameplay then the graphics and stuff. But I bet if they had been working on only gameplay from the start...and SDHCTP had ended up looking SD2..people would have been like OMG this game is crap, the graphics suck. Bad liscense whore? Yes. But are you going to go out and make a WWE game that's better? I doubt it. Basically, settle with what you get. It's not like the WWE right now is at it's best..so just think of it as the game being on par with the current product that the WWE is putting out. Now as I said, I'm not trying to make SD seems like such a great game, or it's like one of the best or anything. I'm just trying to say it's not as horrible as you make it seem. Just because it doesnt compare to 'Some japanese game'...which is like the gaming capital of the world anyways. It's still fairly decent, and there are people that do still play..a lot of people.
