  1. Why is that bad? Wouldn't people finding the skits funny...encourage them to want to go see the movie? I personally liked his 'Jesus sketch' lmao. And I'm not a movie buff...who is that? I don't remember..I mean what movie was he nominated for...
  2. WWE Smackdown vs. RAW: First Details Behold wrestling fans: the first screenshots and info from the year's biggest grappling game http://ps2.ign.com/articles/522/522962p1.html June 11, 2004 - As passionate as the teams at THQ and Yuke's are about their WWE Smackdown franchise, getting them to talk about the next iteration of the series hasn't exactly been easy. Originally announced last month exclusively through IGN prior to the Electronic Entertainment Expo, the sixth installment known as Smackdown! vs. RAW has been quickly transformed into one of the most talked about forthcoming PS2 titles this year. And with speculation and rumors about the game already running rampant, we felt it our duty to get to the bottom of it all so that we could set the record straight. Sadly that's easier said than done. As our buddies at THQ are keeping tight-lipped regarding the implementation of this year's roster and feature set. "Honestly, we're just not ready to reveal too much about the game yet," said the THQ representatives we spoke with. "In fact, you guys [iGN] will probably be doing most of the roster revelations yourselves when you kick off your Smackdown Countdown later this year. We like secrets. Secrets are good." Apparently the roster isn't the only thing remaining covert, though; as THQ has an absolutely massive undisclosed gameplay option that will be announced sometime over the next couple of weeks. And while we can't get official confirmation as to just what that secret may end up being just yet, the word on the street is that it's that it's the one extra that everyone has been waiting for since the advent of PS2 Network Adapter: Online connectivity. And from what we understand, that's not so far off from the truth. Speculation aside, we were at least able to confirm several of Smackdown vs. RAW's specifics in relation to what's been left over from last year's effort Here Comes the Pain. Six-person simultaneous play, for instance, has once again been brought back so that players can make the most of a pair of Multi-tap peripherals. And every single one of 2003's game modes have returned to action too; with match types like Hell in the Cell, Slobber Knocker, Table Matches, and First Blood back and bigger than ever. Much to our chagrin, THQ would not confirm any of its new modes or gameplay features in time for us to meet our deadline; though the company representatives did assure us that Smackdown vs. RAW would boast several of them before all is said and done. Click on Orton and Cena for more images Link Visually the game has been given a boost too. Character models and attire in particular have a lot more detail than they did before, with a continued emphasis on facial recreation and animation. "You're going to freak out when you see this new one in motion," whispered a THQ employee that wished to remain anonymous. "It's easily the best looking game in the series." Old-school fans should also be pleased to know that legends have been reinstated for the roster as well, with a stronger focus on big name stars and classic personalities. And while there will definitely be a few historical grapplers from last year's version to make the rounds all over again, THQ has also included some new representatives to bolster the ranks. We're told that the updated roster will be comprised of some of the biggest classic names in the industry too; but because of ongoing contractual negotiations, can't be named. But that doesn't mean that we didn't get the names of some of the planned Smackdown vs. RAW active superstars. As we finally managed to get the THQ guys to spill the beans regarding the lineup. "It will definitely have all the champions in there, how could it not?" remarked aTHQ rep. "Of course, we'll have several surprises and divas on the list too, but for now, you can bet that the champions and their top contenders will be in there." Specifically, players can expect to see Randy Orton, John Cena, Triple H, Chris Benoit, Shawn Michaels, and Eddie Guerrero. Unforunately we couldn't confirm whether or not Tag Team champ Edge or the oft-wanted La Resistance would be in there. But secrecy seems to be Smackdown vs. RAWs theme this year. As THQ have plans to reveal details more meticulously than in the years before it. The company did confirm one final tidbit about the game, though, which is its release date: November 2004. And with almost half a year left, the time should give anxious WWE gamers plenty of time to digest exactly what lies before them. The good news is that your buddies at IGN will be with you every step of the way. As we plan on continuing our popular Smackdown Countdown features from seasons previous with the most information, media, and news regarding the game than anywhere else in the world. In fact, on our media page below we've included the first handful of screenshots taken from an early build. And you can expect us to return again next week (and rather soon at that) with the first official trailer that you won't be able to find anywhere else. So saddle up WWE fans -- today's tidbits was only the beginning. We'll be back again with more next week. -- Jeremy Dunham Credit: IGN.com - http://ps2.ign.com/articles/522/522962p1.html. 3. Well considering they were up for what? 1? Then that was pretty much a give-in. But they still got to do the first performance, although LL was off like a bitch. And there's always the second one that will come out within the next 2 years. :smug:
  4. That's awesome, for him. Wonder if he'll actually star in it, playing the role from the show. I just think it'd be odd seeing him like that for a whole hour and a half. But still, I'd go and see it when it comes out.
  5. I believe...even though it was 'Two CDs' it came as one... And I'm pretty sure Nelly knows what he's doing. SImply he wants to make more money, and he knows the fans that really love him will purchase two. Plus what artist would come right out and say...'I'm gonna do two different CDs so I can make more money'.
  6. Yes..just about all the one's he has been realeased are, but all of his songs definitely aren't. Maybe this is the first time he'll actually put the hardcore stuff on his CD...because there are a lot of songs floating around on the net, and when you hear them, it's just like WTF? That's Nelly.
  7. Well...I have to say if you're listening to a station that would play Nelly for a few months..then it's probaly playing Nelly now. So not much difference. And yes DYSI?...it's supposed to be sweatsuit lmao.
  8. But I bet more probaly care about the MTV movie awards.... No matter how 'bad' it may be compared to how it used to be. I actually still like it, it's a hell of a lot better then the music awards IMO.
  9. Because it's in almost every gaming magazine out there...And just about all GTA sites.
  10. Doesn't simply www.download.com have MANY games, a lot of which are freeware. And some which are even shelf games.
  11. Are you sure it's 4.2? And if it is...are you sure you have the editor that will work with it? If you're using 4.4 and it doesn't work, then try using 4.3 just to see.
  12. Doesn't look that intriguing (sp?) to me...but maybe if someone's a bongo player they'd like it. Plus I was never really a huge fan of Donkey Kong. And Bemani? Is that what games where you use the pads and dance mats and stuff are called or something?
  13. Pfft...does anyone listen to what you say about games anymore? Anything that isn't KOC...or that RPG you're always talking about (cant' remember name) you basically say it sucks.
  14. It's fairly amazing how people complain about games before they even come out, and they've yet to have a chance to play it. I saw the trailer, and I actually think it may be decent. I don't like the DOA:BV style girls...because then it just seems "weird"...or someone will walk into a room while you're playing and be like WTF, but the actual wrestling in the game looked bad ass from the videos I've seen. Definitely moves you won't see being pulled off in the WWE...or on any SD games most likely. It actually looks decent to me, and I'll probaly pick this one up.
  15. I dobut that...seeing as it's like the highest rated show on cable according to the Nielsen Media Research or whatever it's called.
  16. WTH? That's definitely not true... They even said on the show before Jasmine got eliminated.. Ryan: "And remember, you can vote as many times as you'd like!" Because I know people who've said, they got through 80 times...yes they actually counted. I dont know how the hell they did it...or why, but I know for a fact that what you said definitely isn't true. Nevermind, for some reason they're down now.
  17. Wow...that was an intelligent statement. And yes...he was #2, because Ruben evidently was #1 seeing as he won
  18. http://www.idolfan.org/audios3.html All of the Idol performances...from her, to the people that were eliminated and the results shows. I had to download Summertime...because she definitely rocked that song. And this won't be any kind of problem like 'last time' will it? Seeing as it's not like music that's for sale or anything.
  19. ← God, that show has began to irk me. I watched it...but there' sno way in hell that people who would sing/look like those people would not know they suck. That has to be people they picked off the street and payed...because they completely suck and it's not even funny. Plus after the auditions and seeing the same people who suck over and over it again it will get boring. But I might tune in to the last show.
  20. Yes...because picking one of the best singers if not the best (which evidently she proved she is), out of only like 3 or 4 of the final 12 that actually sing, is a bad choice. And I still don't see the attraction people have for either Diana or Jasmine...Jasmine looks like the villain guy off Power Rangers, and Diana = Ms. Piggy grown taller.
  21. Oh, so the gameplay still looks the same as the SNES games? Just added FMV sequences... I was thinking of going to get them all for a min..but I think I'll stick to finishing them on the comp.
  22. Ok here's another question. Of all the FF's on SNES which one is the best? I'm thinking of playing one of them, just not sure which'll probaly be the best. Was looking up info on the earlier ones and found stuff like this... http://www.ffonline.com/ff5/images.htm ? When the early games were rereleased on Playstation in that pact they actually remade the look of it or something??
  23. I still say they should have just remade FF7 like that, playable. But I'm sure this will turn out to be great also though.
  24. My thoughts exactly. And I actually think Method & Red will be pretty cool..but I don't think it'll last longer then a season though.
  25. To put it simple...Ace. And as for the whole shift between Lex and Clark...that wasn't exactly coming from out of nowhere :/. He was highly pissed...with a right, the dude was doing the same thing as Lionel, and with the added pressure from Kira putting the thoughts of betrayal into his head, he had every right ot just come out and say that their friendship was over. And Chloe died. At least that was the way it was portrayed..I'm sure eventually she will appear next season and there will be an explination, but as far as season 3 goes, she's dead and gone, the house blew up as soon as she entered it. but like I said this was a great episode...and I don't feel like waiting for season 4.
