  1. Amen to that. And I'm also really tired of hearing the "Romo is going to become a real leader this year" crap. They've been saying that for the past several years, and honestly, it's NOT going to happen. Romo is always going to be Romo, and the Cowboys needs to stop pretending otherwise. They have a shot at doing really well this year thanks to (imo) some good off-season moves and the draft. I just hope that they can get things together enough to make a real push soon.

  2. I wanted to get on here and apologize to those whose games I'm in. I haven't been able to access the board for several days due to a perfect storm of crap (laptop broke, iPod touch broke, issues with the online on my PS3, etc), which have resulted in me just now being able to get on to post even this. I would still like to play, but it'll be a few days before my new laptop comes in and I have reliable net access. So I completely understand if you want to replace me, or if you already have. Sorry again to everyone. Not fun.

  3. That was a really good main card at least. I missed all of the Facebook fights, but I heard those were pretty good as well. Henderson was totally dominate, Lytle/Hardy was a good slugfest and had a great ending, and Cerrone won big, which made my wife very happy. Overall it was one of those free cards that I wouldn't have felt ripped off if I had paid money.

  4. I'm kind of thinking that the SEC wants to wait until A&M regents meet and decide for sure what they want to do. I mean, yea, it's pretty evident, but the SEC doesn't want to look bad by talking about adding A&M and then getting turned down. Also, as someone pointed out, they don't want to just take ANYBODY as the 14th team, so waiting until they have a really good program lined up there makes sense.

  5. Matt Hamill has announced on his website that he's retiring.

"Today is a sad day for me. After six years and 13 fights in the UFC I'm ready to hang up my gloves and retire from this amazing sport.

The UFC has been extremely good to me and given me an opportunity to make a great living. That exposure has allowed me options outside the Octagon as well. I just don't have it in me to fight anymore and my last two performances have shown that.

I was ready to make this decision after UFC 130 but my friends, family coaches and most importantly my daughter encouraged me to give it one last chance. My career has been plagued by injuries starting with The Ultimate Fighter and disrupted my training ever since.

There hasn't been even one training camp where I've been able to train without training around an injury. I have not been kind to my body and it has nothing left after 28 years of non stop competition. It's time to finally give it a rest. I can't continue to fight without having the hunger and desire to do so. I can't let my performances reflect on my coaches who are the best in the world and the reason I've made it this far."

Goes on to say that he'll still be coaching, and thanks a bunch of people. Interesting, but I guess if his heart isn't in it anymore, it's the best thing to do.
