I started playing Pokemon Emerald a bit ago because I had never played any of the games post-Gold (which I only played a bit). I chose Torchic as my starter pokemon. I've just gotten my first badge and returned the guy's Peeko from the Team Aqua member. My team is: Combusken, Level 17; Lombre, Level 16; and Skitty, Level 10.

I'd change the "Yours is not to reason why..." text. The font really doesn't work. Not sure about the Mental Breakdown text. Looks like you tried to rip-off AD's Hogan/Steiner text

Actually Benji, any pokémon will disobey you if it's level is too high for you. I remember having a disobedient Charizard once upon a time, and I didn't trade.

Odd, I've done it before and it's been fine, plus they say "any Pokémon you get in a trade up to Lv** will now obey you".

I can confirm it's trades only (at least in 4th Gen) having just beaten a gym.

Does anyone know the levels that each badge in Leaf Green allows you to control? I only have the boulderbadge and am leveling my pokemon, I want to make sure I don't level them too far.

Trying to level this Weedle is a bitch, I just want it to be a Beedrill so I can have all it's forms in my pokedex and then stick it in the PC. All of my other pokemon are 10+. I have not fought Brock yet.

Is Jigglypuff supposed to be so fucking hard to catch? I had her so low that you could not see any health left and she escaped 3 pokeballs.

So I ditched yellow for Leaf Green, and it has me wanting the actual games, but I don't even have a DS and don't know how long my interest is going to last so i'll just play via ROMs for now.

After Leaf Green, would the proper progression be Crystal > Emerald > Diamond/Pearl?

Also, it's been a long time since I played... Which is the superior flying pokemon for early use? Spearow or Pidgey?

I like it too, something sort of different, doesn't have to get ratings using sex, although it does refer to it a lot so I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen, although I haven't seen last night's episode yet, except for bits and pieces. It is entertaining though, kind of interested to see how long The Riches can keep the disguise going.

Anyone watch the Riches? It's a new show on F/X with Eddie Izzard. I love it, great so far. It's about 5 or 6 episodes in now.

It seems inevitable that she will be killed off. She just strikes me as the character they made intentionally as annoying as possible, and will eventually be killed.

The show still hasn't really impressed me. It has it's moments which make me continue to watch, but still needs to get more interesting. Alex Tully is the only character I care about at this point, they need to focus a bit more on other people.
