  1. I'm not, but I'm like Lovie, ready to ride out the storm with Grossman/Griese/Orton. We already have three quarterbacks, and I think that Orton should get another shot. I mean he did exactly what was asked of him in his starts as a rookie, who's to say he can't re-create that success?
  2. Why would he want to go from one team with no O-Line to another team with no O-Line? Really, I think he should go somewhere like Detroit (if they draft Thomas instead of Quinn, like the latest mocks have), or somewhere with a good O-Line.
  3. I think that the Archuleta signing is great for the Bears. It gives us the depth at the position and if he can help Manning and even Harris learn a few things, that would be great. Hopefully Brown will take rest if he needs it this season with the added depth.
  4. 1. Chicago Bears. From Illinois, always loved Chicago, raised a Bears fan. 2. Indianapolis Colts. I live 10 minutes from Indiana, lots of family that lives in Indianapolis. 3. San Diego Charger. Always loved their baby blue uniforms and with my cousin being a Falcons fan, I've always been a HUGE LT fan.
  5. I guess I'm the only one who agrees with Dragsy. If I wanted to hear about who got who pregnant, who is dating who, I'm not coming into the NFL thread to read about, I'm checking the Entertainment forums. Also, Lance Briggs continues to hold his footing, I hope we get rid of him sooner rather then later. I'd settle for just a 1st these days.
  6. Patriots sign Donte Stallworth to a 6 year 30 million dollar contract.
  7. And in the one year Rhodes had over 200 carries he has 1100 yards. I'm not saying he's an elite back, but he'll get you 500-600 yards as a split back and probably 1000 if he got 90 percent of the carries.
  8. And why do you have to have a number 1 back? The last four teams left in the post-season last year all had a two-back system, so I think it's obvious you can succeed without a true #1.
  9. The Raiders appear to have a good plan. They have Rhodes, who is used to sharing carries and is a quality runner, with Jordan and a very good blocking FB to help the run game. That will take a lot of pressure off of Russell (or whoever ends up starting for them) and will open up for play action (something I think could really help them with Moss still being on the team as of right now).
  10. And it comes to pass. McGahee goes to Baltimore for the third and seventh round picks this year as well as their third round pick next year.
  11. Joey Porter signs with the Dolphins and Brian Simmons signs with the Saints. That's two more LB's off the market, which makes Briggs more valuable.
  12. With Jones being traded, I look for the Briggs situation to be done by next Monday. Hopefully they can re-sign him now that they freed up some cash by getting rid of Jones.
  13. I really didn't see Thomas going to New England until free agency started. Being an avid New England hater, this disappoints me.
  14. Shaun Livingston's injury is almost exactly what happened to mine. As for the Bulls, they're usually not bad against a zone, as they are a jump shooting team most nights.
  15. It's really sad to see someone that is such a good person lose his father. And another Bronco's player passes, reserve tailback Damien Nash collapsed after a charity basketball game.
  16. The Bears, who are also known for being cheap, don't give Lovie free reign to hire and fire his assistants. Lovie might have suggested it, but it came down to the Bears not wanting to pay Rivera big bucks for just being a "yes man" for Lovie's system.
  17. *EDIT* ACC kills my spirits.
  18. Rivera to be the Chargers LB coach. I suppose it's a step down, but if Turner doesn't work out Rivera is setting himself up for the head coaching job.
  19. Personally, I think they should seriously consider looking more into Rivera.
  20. Personally, I think Gerald Green could go dunk-for-dunk with anyone out there.
  21. His first slam dunk was very impressive, probably my favorite of his in these past two years.
  22. I hate the fact that you're required to use the help of one teammate on a dunk, though Gerald Green's first was my favorite.
  23. The Bavetta-Barkley race is by far the greatest idea ever for the All-Star game. "We gonna give two blackjack hands to charity"
