  1. The problem I seem to have is that I can do the quick grapples fine (using the stick without holding the right bumper), but anytime I try to do a strong grapple it's released. I tested it out, and the problem I was having was that my opponent wasn't beaten down enough, but with the speed finishers are obtained, you can do two finishing moves before you can perform a traditional grapple move. Hopefully I'm just missing something, can anyone either confirm this or point me in the right direction?
  2. I thought it was kind of interesting, but maybe that's just me?
  3. Yes, but comparing the two is just an excuse. If the ref had made the right call, Tampa would've gotten a touchdown. Sure, something could have happened after that, but the entire game would be changed. So, you're arguement that "anything can happen", while technically correct, is more of a cop-out because you bragged without actually watching the game and noticing the blown call.
  4. I understand what you're saying. The Bears are a running team. The Packers and Lions play 7 or 8 guys in the box, giving the wide-outs 1-on-1 coverage while plugging up the run. Thus, the running lanes aren't there, and the backs don't get many yards. This sets Grossman up with 3rd down situations where he has to pass the ball, which he has done very well this year completing over 70 percent of his passes. The fact that the Bears are a running team also sets up play-action, which Grossman has used very well. You claimed he doesn't check down, yet he has thrown the ball about 50% of the times to backs or tight ends. He has made throws in coverage when it's 3rd-and-long, and has read the defense well and has gone deep in good situations. I understand that you're saying Grossman sucks because everything around him is good. But Grossman has to do the play-action, has to read the defenses, and to be the accurate quarterback he has been, as to do all of that. Sure, the players around him are talented, but so is he. I don't understand how you can say "he sucks" when he has done exceptionally well, especially in check-down situations.
  5. Are you a bitter Packers fan or something? Grossman is doing great so far this year, and the fact that the defense is ready to stop the run is his fault? He is 38/53 (71.69 percent), 551 yards, 5 touchdowns, and 1 interception on the year. With everything around him, he is doing a very, very good job. Sure, maybe they're stacking for the run, but Grossman has had plenty of 3 and medium/third-and-long situations that he has converted on because the run hasn't been as good as last year. We know you don't like Grossman, and that for some strange reason you think he's doing a horrible job. But when you look at it, Grossman is one of the better starting quarterbacks right now.

    Nintendo Wii

I skipped out on the Gamecube, but I really think I'm going to give the Wii a chance and make the purchase. The price is a HUGE selling point for me.
  7. It was the World Basketball Championship (WBC), and Italy put up a fight, leading by 12 in the second half before USA came back to win, 94-85.

    Madden 2007

Actually, the 360 does have Superstar mode this time.
  9. Damn you guys, I think I might have to start a new game and attempt to catch up.
  10. To me, it seemed like it was an action movie minus the action. But I'm fairly critical of films, so yeah. Also, Numbahs, what was teh big twist at the end?

    NFL Head Coach?

It's not horrible, but a rent would be smart. It's a first year title, so there are a lot of flaws.

  13. Nothing like the last minute. Thanks for posting this.
  14. It seems to cater to the fantasy football fan more then anything. And as for the draft, I expect the scouting and such that you are forced to sim through to be very good, thus making up for the sub-par draft we get in the demo. As for the menus and such, this game is for a specific audience. I think the ones meant to enjoy it will, and those who are "on the fence" will have to give it a shot. However, I do expect it to be much easier to navigate on PS2 and X-Box. That's just my guess though.
  15. I didn't know how many people here might be looking forward to NFL Head Coach, but I figured I'd throw it out there anyway. http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?si...=thread&order=0 And you might have to download this also. http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_27 The second is just a .dll file while the first is the demo, 300 MB.

    Madden 2007

I'm really looking forward to it, but I wish that the 360 version didn't get some stuff that the current-gen aren't going to have and vice versa. Mainly, the 360 will have the combine and the PS2/X-Box won't, but the 360 won't have the SS mode.
  18. I think the student-athlete is going to be like the Race For The Heisman, only this time it won't feel like you're just going from week to week.
  19. Found this at gamestop.com under the PS2 section for this game.
  20. To bad I'm from the States, I would've given you mine for like, $5.
  21. A late April Fool's joke perhaps? I'm assuming it's not, so I'm busy puking.
