  1. I usually keep most of mine. I will sometimes trade in old versions of games (I'll trade in Madden 2009 for Madden 2010, for example), but even then it seems pointless because I get such little value back for them. Most of the time I at least keep my games for long enough that the value really goes down, so it's not worth trading them in. My brother traded in like 10 PS2 games a while back, and he got like $25 or $30. He got $5 or $10 for a couple, but Gamestop gave him like $0.87 or some shit for some of the older games.

  2. It seems like I have to ask for this every year - is there any way you can put a list on the first page with all of the results so far? It's annoying having to look through page after page to remember who placed where. You can always do this at the end too, but it's nice for people who just want to look through it quickly.

  3. I'm having fun with the game this year. I'm 7-7 with my Lions in franchise, which seems somewhat realistic to me. I probably won't make the playoffs, since my next two games are against New Orleans and Green Bay, but oh well. Calvin Johnson is a beast in this game, and Kevin Smith is a decent running back for a rookie. I think I have him at around 900 yards right now, he should easily break 1,000. I'm excited for the offseason, I want to see how Stanton progresses and I always have fun with the draft. I'll go for defense I think, unless I can land a star offensive lineman.

The game is fun this year though, now that I've gotten used to it.

  4. It's going to be close to Titanic, that's for sure. I think that's evident by this past weekend's results and the fact that it's still yet to be dethroned as the top movie.

And comparatively, The Dark Knight is only about $ 2.7 million shy of where Titanic was in it's 4th weekend at the box office.

Titanic was still leading the box office after months, though. The Dark Knight probably won't even be on top after this weekend. It'll break $500, but Titanic is still a long way off, and I don't think that it'll have anywhere near the longevity that Titanic had. Titanic was on top for 15 weeks.

  5. I think that we'll be seeing quality Batman films for a long time to come, whether or not Nolan continues to direct the franchise or not. I mean, after the success of the Dark Knight, everyone has to realize where the money is at, and that's in the dark, realistic world of Gotham that Nolan has created.

  6. I think the best way to use Bane, would be to have a mob boss hire some doctors to create him the perfect soldier to combat Batman... they take a skinny kid with a good mind, who used to look up to Batman... and they turn him into a monster.

Everything goes as planned for awhile, until Bane decides that he's tired of being a flunky... he takes over as the leader of the mob... meanwhile a subplot introduces Azrael, who wants to help Batman, but doesn't have the boundaries that Bruce Wayne does. Anyways... I'd end the film with Bane having broken Batman's back...Azrael finding out who he is, and Bruce handing over the mantle.

One final fight scene maybe, Azrael and Bane duke it out... we get shots that wrap up subplots and put over how destroyed Bruce Wayne is because of his condition... Azrael beats Bane, but is too beat up to finish him off, and Bane escapes... cut to scenes of Azrael as the new Batman beating the shit out of The Joker, who has told him that he knows how to defeat Bane, but wants to play a game first...

That leads into a fourth installment... where Wayne encourages Azrael to work with The Joker. The Devil you know, kinda stuff... Wayne heals up, Azrael starts losing his mind because of how closely he's been working with the Joker... and now you've got two madmen on the loose, and a crime boss who's already broken and defeated Batman.

Although I like the idea, I can't see this working out. I think that this takes too much of the focus off of Batman, and I think that the audience would be disappointed by that. It's a good story on its own, but I don't really see how it connects all that well to Batman Begins and the Dark Knight.

On a side note, I saw an article somewhere (I think on IGN) talking about how the Riddler could fit into the next film. Since Batman is "on the run" after the ending of the Dark Knight, the article said that they could have the Riddler be hired out by the Gotham Police or by some other organization (Talia Al'Ghul was mentioned) to find Batman. The Riddler would start out innocently enough, using his intellect to get closer to Batman, but eventually he'd develop his own agenda, and Batman would have to take him down.

I dunno, it's just something that seems like a way to fit the Riddler in there somehow. Personally, I think that Nolan will surprise everyone and find a way to fit in a character who hasn't been in the films, like Black Mask or someone.

  7. I think that Bettany would make a better Riddler, for some reason.

I do believe that the Joker should be recast, though. They should probably take a break and not have him really come into play again until the end of the next movie or so, but you can make him a little different (but still close to) Ledger's version of the character and still make it work. If his voice or appearance changes a bit it shouldn't really matter, he's the freaking Joker, he's crazy. He makes up two different versions of how he got his scars in the film, for instance. There's room for change.

  8. The thing that bugs me about IMDB is that a lot of idiots are voting on the website. They don't vote based on what they actually think of the movie, they vote to try and influence the score. Movies get way too many 10/10 scores and 1/10 scores from people trying to balance things out. I don't care if you don't really like the Godfather, but come on. You can't give it a 1/10, even if you hated the damn thing. A movie has to be absolutely horrible to get a 1/10, and you don't see too many of those. Give a movie that you didn't like a 5/10 or whatever, but the people who play the numbers to try and boost or lower certain film's scores need to get a life.

I like the list for the most part, but just as a general guide. A lot of absolutely incredible films aren't on there just because they're old or whatever, and a lot of films that aren't that great are on the list, but it's still a nice guide. If you look at it just to see what some of the most well-recieved films are, then it's good. I've used it to discover quite a few movies that I might not have watched otherwise. If you're looking for a definitive list of the greatest films ever made, however, the list isn't worth a shit.

  9. I listen to them sometimes, but not often. I'll watch them if I see a scene that is just really incredible, or if it has a stunt or something that I have absolutely no idea how they pulled it off. I think that the Director's Commentary is often disappointing, however. I was really excited to see what Coppola had to say about The Godfather, but he didn't sound too interested, almost as if he was forced to do it (which he probably was).

  10. I was sad when Charlie died. Yeah, the character made some stupid decisions, but I could always understand why he did what he did. He was a pretty sympathetic character, I think, since he did go from a terrible life to one where he died to save others. He was one of my favorite characters, though there are few that I don't like.

Are there any characters that you guys don't like...at all? I can't stand Kate, personally. She just always makes the stupidest decisions that screw things up, and she has always been very selfish. I just...I dunno. It seems like there's more about her for me to dislike than there is for me to like, if that makes any sense.

  11. I'm pretty sure that it'll at least contain some new missions. Microsoft gave up some big money for this, it's not going to be just some new clothes or weapons. It might contain stuff like that, but it has to be something big.

  12. What about Walt? Assuming his growth spurt is over, he could feasibly return to being a regular and join the crusade to get back to the island. I know I'd be down for that.

The island/Jacob always seems to be looking for a chosen one, but there appears to be an expiration date on being chosen. Perhaps Locke's date came a lot faster than Ben's. We know Locke to be a very emotional person, and Ben warned him about mixing emotion with being a leader. Perhaps Walt or Aaron could be the new "chosen" ones.

That or by bringing Locke back to the island, he could end up like Christian is now.

That's what I've been thinking about lately. Maybe Locke died so he could actually become closer to the Island, maybe he can do more for it now that he's dead.

I still wouldn't be surprised to see him come back to life, though. There are a lot of things that point to him being a messiah-like character.

Oh and I forgot, I think Charlotte is the little girl that befriended Ben when he first came to the island. That's a rather way out there theory though.

Annie? Nah, I don't think so. They don't look similar, and Annie seems like someone that Ben would remember immediately.

  13. Eh, just because he's in the coffin doesn't mean that he can't come back. I'm sure that he'll still be a huge focus for the show, even if he is "dead." Besides, he might not be dead at all. The island didn't let Michael kill himself, so I find it hard to believe that it would let anyone else.
