  1. Rangers couldnt have come out better if they selected the teams themselves. I think the Gers are in with a real shout of advancing from that section. 3rd and a Europa League at worst.
  2. This is why gambling exists. So you can always support one team. For what its worth if its not a Rangers game im not really that interested, i'll probably have it on in the background while im doing something else.
  3. You can slate the fans all you want, but 95% of both clubs fans went to watch a good local derby and it was spoiled by a minority as usual. Why deprive the majority of fans a great game? Would you play all Old Firm games behind closed doors as well? How about Rome derbys? Closed doors is never the answer.
  4. There were running battles with the police in Manchester, but in part that was due to bad organisation on the part of the city council and the breakdown of one of the big screens in the city centre. That makes it 2 Euro cup finals and both times its ended up with battles with police, Manchester and Barcelona. So basically, what we have established is that i support 2 teams whose supporters are all thugs.
  5. I think the game was always going to be a bit of a powderkeg, but this really harps back to the bad old days of football violence.
  6. Was saddened hear and read about the crowd trouble at West Ham Vs Millwall. Stabbings, riot police, pitch invasions, i thought these days were behind us. I'm a West Ham fan due to family/friends living in the East End but it is embarassing to see that alot of it was caused by our fans. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/8221451.stm Couldnt find a suitable topic to put this in so... discuss.
  7. Kyle has defo earned his call up with his performances for Killie. Good to see Davie Weir getting a recall as well, shame its too late, should have been in the backline against Norway instead of the brothers Grimm. Looking forward to seeing Celtic get torn apart at the emirates tomorrow. Always fun to watch them get hammered.
  8. Actually im the opposite. I WILL buy this on day 1 because being there from the start and going through the buss in the initial release is kinda fun sometimes.
  9. Premiership Winners: Man Utd Runners-Up: Arsenal Champion's League Places: Liverpool & Man City Europa League Places: Chelsea, Tottenham & West Ham Relegation: Wolves, Portsmouth & Hull FA Cup: Man City Carling Cup: Everton Championship Winners: West Brom Runners-Up: Ipswitch Play-Offs: Cardiff (Winners), Bristol City, Middlesbrough & Reading Relegation: Coventry, Barnsley & Newcastle My knowledge of English football is sketchy below that so just the 2 leagues for me.
  10. But if its on the Wii it will have horrible graphics and annoying motion controls. way to ruin a good idea...
  11. A true great of not only British but world football. Such a shame that his last memory of his beloved Newcastle is seeing them in a shambles. RIP.
  12. Downloaded this from the PSN in todays update. Anyone else played it? Thoughts? Persoanlly its a touch expensive for what it is IMO but its fun for 12/20 mins here and there. Cant get online, keeps telling me its not been able to connect to the game
  13. Celtic loose 1-0 at home Aberbeen loose 5-1 at home Motherwell loose 3-0 away Its not really been a good week on the Euro front. All i can say is thank god we dont need to go through the qualis.
  14. Actually i think Hearts might be in with a shot of splitting the Auld Firm again, dont know who they will pip to second but they have a good manager and have actually spent some money this summer... well, by scottish standards anyway. But as long as Vlad keeps his nose out they could be a danger.
  15. What money? They really havnt spent much, £3.6m on Fortune, N'Guemo on loan, Szamaltolski (sp) on a free and Fox for £1.5m. Total spend of £5.1m on players plus £2m for Mowbry, so £7.1m all in. That's not alot, especially considering they didn't spend at all last January and have got some big earning players of the wage bill (Bobo, Naka, JVoH). Im see some of it will be added onto the clubs debt but since they have no debt at the moment it wont make much difference. Still dont think they have brought in anyone to worry about, the title is staying right where it is (Y) Edited for spelling
  16. If that's the argument, it's the fault of the other teams for not being able to actually provide competition to Ferrari. Took the words right out of my mouth. Besides, he helped develop that Ferrari team from nothing, so it makes it all the more impressive. Furthermore, personally i wouldnt call him the greatest F1 driver ever, IMO that honour goes to the late Ayrton Senna. However, its a very winable argument to say that Schumacher is the greatest.
  17. After Celtics euro humiliation at the hands of some diddy team from Russia its safe to say there isnt much to worry about from them this season. Fortune looks like a black Fillip Sebo, Donati is still pash, Samaras is still a donkey, Boruc is still a liability and McDonald seems to get fatter by the day. You can tell how bad things were when they were clamouring for Chris Killen to come on and save the day.
  18. I cant believe the negitivity for the return of arguably the greatest driver F1 has ever known. It honestly wouldn't surprise me to see him stick that motor in the top 5 and grab a podium in a fortnights time and make everyone eat their words.
  19. Fox > Naylor goes without saying and i'll admit that N'Guemo looks as player in the friendlys, but then again, Donati has looked a player in the friendlys so that shows you they mean nothing. I dont think Fortune is a step up on JVOH. OK, Jan was rotten last year, but his first couple of years he was ok. Fortune is pretty much their version of Kenny Miller, lots of running, no product. McCulloch did plenty wrong, he cant run, he cant tackle and he kicks folk off the park as soor as they get past him, he is a liability. To make matters worse he is gonna be on a tidy wage having come from the Premiership so id rather just get shot of him on a free or for a nominal fee if anyone will take him. I agree about Boruc, as long as he plays they will drop points. This never gets old.
  20. Looks bad for Massa, hope everything is OK but it brings back bad memories of Senna. EDIT - Also reminds me of Henry Surtees accident last week. Although he appears to be moving his arms as he was getting into the helecoptor so looks like he is ok.
  21. I still dont think we NEED to sign anyone. It would be a nice boost but Celtic haven't strengthened at all, just replaced players that have left. The only worry i have about them now is that they have signed a left back so no more laughing at Lee Naylor. Dont mention McCulloch, truley one of the worst players to ever pull on the Gers top, he makes Nuno Caputcho and Emerson look like good players. The very epitome of the phrase "Jack of all trades, master of none" Grant to the JT's is laughable. Big Vlad is trying to balance the books down Tynecastle way, hes not gonna fork out for Avrams salary... mind you, after Sven to Notts County i wouldnt rule anything out, its been a weird summer. I dont really think Broadfoot is that bad to be honest, he ripped McGeady a new one down the wing from RB in the old firm last year and was fairly solid at CB as required for the last couple of years. 1:43 seconds to see the glorious Govan Flick... Here Aaron looks the part if his Spain U21 form is anything to go by. If he is getting called one of the brightest young spanish players he cant be that bad, but then again he looked very average when he played last year.
  22. What? FFXIV? Where? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ff14
  23. MSG psp and Rising. Gran Turismo 5 GT PSP Uncharted 2 Dead Rising 2 Cant say im that intereted in MW2 as i am the worst FPS player in the world. Batman would have to be very good to get me interested and so far it seems pretty average. I'm sure they are more but thats the main 5 i can think of. EDIT - FM2010, but that goes without saying.
