  1. Would anyone happen to have the data from EWI? We could always make a resource thread to replace this one & EWI. I have at least 6 or 7 scenarios varying from 1995 to 2009, but I don't have most of the other things that were up on the site.
  2. I'm going to have to semi agree with you. It seems like you can get hot, maybe 2 to 3 fights on expert, but that 4th fight, the person, no matter whom you pick, is out fighting you no matter what you try.
  3. How they hell did you do that? I've never managed to submit the computer since I've been playing the game, even if I have someone with high strength and submission skills. Any pointers on how I need to apply the submission and/or when they should be applied? Also, what method to you use to clinch it in, fast button action or joystick?
  4. Has anyone knocked their opponent out while they're on top of you? I always wondered if that's even possible. If their stamina is pretty much gone, but they happen to counter you and take you down, could you throw a few shots to his head and knock him out? I just think it would be cool to see someone get knocked out and end up laying on you in a defeated position.
  5. At the start dodge any fighter who you thinks style will rip you apart, be patient in your fighting and don't just run straight in arms swinging. Most of the time you mess up on the ground because your jerking the stick(panicking) this doesn't work. Just take your time and don't worry if you take a few hits. This works for online too. I actually don't panic anymore when I'm on the ground, I usually take the fight to the ground. I have good transitions and I know how to put my opponent back to the guard, it just seems likes when I fight certain people, I can't for the life of me roll them over while they're in full mount, I can't keep them from getting full mount, or I can't catch them in a submission. Any advice on making the computer tap? I can make plenty of people tap online, but I've never submitted the the computer.
  6. God, I keep getting my ass handed to me in career mode. I had it on expert to start off with, because that's how I was playing on the demo since it came out. Then, I had to lower it to advanced just to last more than a round, now I'm all the way down to experienced. I love the game, but I just can't seem to figure out how to stay consistent on expert. I'm getting ready to create a new character in the lightweight division and I want to play on expert from the start, any suggestions on how to go about fighting on expert? My stand up skills are good, I counter quite a bit. My ground game has drastically improved, but no matter how many times I reverse some, or try to reverse something, the computer always ends up with the upper hand. I want to run through the career mode on expert like I said before, but I don't want every single fight to end up being a 1 to 2 minute brutalization of my character, lol.
  7. Ok, so can you actually train with the person you pick during your career? You know, when you bring someone into train with you.
  8. How does everyone usually spend their weeks preparing for the fight? I'm curious as to how I can manage my time better. Also, you can actually train in your training camp? I thought it just made your sparring partner try different things during your sessions?
  9. Same here and hopefully I'll still be allowed to use Sanchez when the time comes.
  10. I'm all in favor of the draft, it seems to be the easiest, most fair, and most organized way to handle things in the league.
  11. I'm going with Mir in the Heavyweight Division & Griffin in the Light Heavyweight Division. Both are beasts at the ground game, but still have a very well balanced striking game.

  13. I should be at my friends house this evening Izzy, so if there are any matches tonight, just send me a message online, Ljpunk.
  14. Gamertag: Ljpunk Has anyone noticed who has the best Submission Offense & Defense overall? I think Mir has it in the Heavyweight division and Griffin has it in the Light Heavyweight. Other than those two, I was just curious as to who has the best in other divisions and whose the best in the game at it.
  15. Isn't Randy Couture an unlockable or something? Seems kind of odd not to have him in the game.
  16. I'm up to join the league, I've been playing online like crazy today, didn't fair to bad. I think my record is somewhere around 6-5-0. Not that many fights, but some of them didn't count because kids kept disconnecting when I had them down & out. Has anyone else had a fight where the person just uses the same punch to the mid section over and over so that you can't move? I think someone did it to me with Rampage, it's the biggest crock on the game. Hopefully next years game will have a few more online fixes and make the submissions a little less "Godly."
  17. I love how so many people pick Brock Lesnar then end up getting submitted, lol. I actually used Frank Mir against Brock online and beat him with a....wait for it.....leg lock. Come on people, lets actually have a good fight, one not possessed by button mashing and all high head kicks.
  18. My girlfriend payed for mine, so I'm good, lol.
  19. God, I'm glad I'm not the only one having trouble with the ground game. Seems like no matter how much I rotate the stick or move it the right way, I can't keep my opponent from either overpowering me or blocking my advance.
  20. What style are you Closed? and what are some the areas where you spent your points? I'm really beginning to regret trying to mix it with with BJJ fighters, I can't even get out of clinch at my level, let reverse anything. I haven't sucked this much since I first tried to fight Liddell on the Demo, lol.
  21. Hmm, maybe I shouldn't have been so quick to become a BJJ/Muay Thai kind of guy and created a Brawler. Oh well, I'm sure I'll be making a ton more characters and hopefully figure out how to fine tune everything just so.
  22. I'm almost liking the career mode, but it seems a little bland for my taste, guess I'm just use to glitz and glamor from wrestling games, lol. It's really hard when you're starting off, I've had about 3 fights now and I've lost all of them the same way, full mount & getting KOed. I really suck at anything on the ground right now, standing up, not bad at all, on the ground, they bypass whatever protection I have and get into a full mount every time. I can't get out of anything and it's extremely frustrating, it is on Expert though.
  23. God damn Brock is a beast on here, he's huge and I knocked at least 3 people out in under 2 minutes. I can't wait to play the career mode though, should be pretty fun. P.S: Diego Sanchez looks spot on in this game & is one my favorites to fight with.
  24. I'm honestly surprised at how much noise just the UFC 09' demo has made. I've heard at least 30 to 40 people I know talking about picking it up when it comes out, not to mention people talking about here on the forums. Hopefully, I'll be able to grab a copy when I drop my girlfriend off at work tomorrow from either Wal-Mart or GameStop. Are there any extras that come with the game if you purchase it at GameStop?
