  1. Practice mode man, it will help. Once you get the gist of how you can move with the ball and without the ball, you'll get better and better. Pretty much, pretend like you're actually playing a game of basketball and think to yourself what the best move would be. When I first started playing in My Player, I sucked something mighty as well. But after playing for a bit, calming down when I play and just letting things happen naturally, I began to do much better. I usually lead my team in scoring, I finish with at least an A- every game and usually am the player of the game in the D-League. As for the pros, I only had a tryout with the Jazz so far and did decent, but I didn't get a contract due to too many fouls. Take your shots wisely, if you're not open, don't shot the ball and when you're doing layups, make sure you have a good lane to get to the basket before trying to shoot. On the flip side, your team's AI is going to be horrible. They'll take shots they shouldn't, they won't pass you the ball when you're open, so make sure you call for the ball when you're in a good position. Don't leave the game in the hands of others unless you adjust the AI first or are sure they're in a position to score when you pass them the ball. My only gripe about this game is the AI, they seem extremely stupid when playing with you. I'm constantly setting up plays yet they can never follow through and anytime I'm taking out of the game and my team is winning, when I'm subbed back in, we're usually losing. My Player is great but at the same time it's very frustrating. It seems like 2K10 more or less puts you in negative positions and wants you to get out of them rather than having you create the situation and either succeeding or failing. It's kind of a weird dynamic of the game and the only other thing that bothers me is the time it takes to get from one event to the other. Like when a timeout occurs, it takes for ever to skip through it and it takes for ever just to get your people in position to throw the blasted ball in. These things aren't so bad, but put that together with the frustration of having a horrible team to play with and still trying to figure out how to play great defense and it becomes quite an upsetting situation. Fun game, but it seems like games are trying to over complicate things now.
  2. I need some advice on games myself. I just bought COD: Modern Warfare 2 for the PS3 and I'm looking for some new games to add to my new console. I want to get Assassin's Creed 2, SmackDown! vs. Raw 2010, NHL 10, Madden 10, & NBA 2K10. Now hopefully by looking for games on eBay & Craigslists, I'll be able to get all of them, but I need help with which one I should go out and get now. COD is very time consuming when you pick it up, but it also has it's moments where I just need to take a break or I just plain feel like playing something else. 2K10 has my vote at the moment because I want a fun sports game to play, but NHL 10 is coming in at a close second, making my decision even more difficult. So, that's why I'm posting this evening, for help, advice, gamer review's, etc... Thanks guys!
  3. I'm very torn as to which console I should purchase this on for. Any suggestions? I have a 360, a PC, obviously, and I'm buying a PS3 Slim later this week. I like the idea of having a fan-dabi-dozi PC game, but I usually keep this laptop pretty full, so I'd more than likely have to buy more space for the PC if I did get it for PC.
  4. I came in here intending to request a picture of Brutus Magnus, but instead, I have another question. Can anyone point me in the direction of a picture pack with past and present pics all rolled into one? I'm talking from the mid 90's till today. The reason I ask this is because I pay a lot of old school games and the pictures I have are dead on for each era, but when it comes to the later days, mainly 2008-2009, the pics are somewhat outdated. I've been trying to keep up with the latest updates for EWR and the pics that come along with it, but for some reason or another, I can't seem to find the right pictures of the right people or I'm missing certain updates that hold pictures of the wrestlers I want. I have TheWho's picture pack and I greatly appreciate his hard work and now, I'm looking to add to his collection. Thank you in advance your time, suggestions, and consideration.

    EA Sports MMA

Hopefully quite a bit, not only in graphics, but gameplay, technique, and game modes. The trailer, well, it was a trailer. Can't say it made me want to go out and buy the game, but it I don't think it will be any better or any worse than Undisputed. I just hope we don't see a repeat of past MMA games where everything looks the same in games and after playing them for a while, they become obsolete.
  6. Going strictly off game play and graphics, I'd suggest 2K10. The feel of the game is absurdly realistic to how an actual pro basketball is played. Live 10, it just doesn't have that feel and visually, it looks cartoonish compared to 2K10.
  7. Can someone link me up to a good preview video? This game sounds extremely intriguing.
  8. I could probably get behind it, but the acting just aggravates me beyond belief. I thought I was just being a dick about a "chick" show, but most of the girls I know watch the show, but agree the character's acting is just bland.
  9. Lets see, The Hills & any show associated with those "crew" of people on the show, Eastwick, that garbage show that Courtney Cox is on, and I'll probably get a lot of flak for this but, CSI: Anywhere.
  10. Hmm, let me just go with the top 10 for right now, then see what I can think of later. Top 5 Movies 1. The Dark Knight 2. Fight Club 3. Memento 4. The Matrix 5. Stranger than Fiction 6. Star Trek 7. Step Brothers 8. SuperBad 9. Funny People 10. Click
  11. Top 10 1. Drake "Drizzy" Rogers 2. Kid Cudi 3. Michael Jackson 4. Lil' Wayne 5. Taking Back Sunday 6. Fall Out Boy 7. Jay Z 8. The Chariot 9. Attack Attack 10. A Static Lullaby
  12. Anyone know of a better version of the April 2002 scenario?
  13. Anyone else think it's kind of funny that Kanye West is getting some much over something that really wasn't a big deal. Yea, it was very disrespectful, but last time I checked, Taylor Swift is still breathing after the "attack." Anyway, he's a douche and she's a sweet chick, don't care for either of their music right now though.
  14. For some reason High Voltage Stats #2 isn't working when I try to download it from EWInventory. Anyone else having trouble with it? Also, if anyone has it saved somewhere, can I get a copy of it?
  15. Yea, I'm getting really excited myself, don't want to be let down. But so far, looks great.
  16. I've been looking for the September 24th, 2006 scenario for a couple of weeks now. I remember it being on EWInvertory, but when I checked back, it was gone. I was looking to start a TNA game right before the debut of Kurt Angle. I downloaded the August scenario & the October scenario, but the September scenario was really on the money. Can anyone help me locate it? Please & Thank You.
  17. Yea, the definitely need to change that for next year. It seems a bit petty to have your fighter fighting for cred than just for respect, his legacy, etc. I'd like to see a more detailed career next year as well. Do something with the time frame of the career, have your character age as the years go by, and maybe have your stats slightly decrease over long periods of time.
  18. So in career mode, in order to get into the Hall of Fame, you just need a certain amount of cred when you hang up your gloves? I ask this because my Lightweight character was inducted into the Hall of Fame when I finished my career yesterday. He was 32-2, iirc. I don't remember how much cred I had, and my stats weren't maxed out either. My Strength, Speed, and Cardio were all at the limit, but the rest of my stats were not.
  19. It looks cartoonish as hell and the game play I'm sure won't be great, but it still seems like an extremely fun game to play every once in a while.
  20. I still believe they could have given the gamer players something better after winning some of the Classic Fights, or at least something after you achieve all of them. I would have liked an unlockable fighter, maybe something for your CAF, something.
  21. I don't think so, but I'm beginning to wonder myself. I've had to drop down to beginner in my career mode, yet when I start to get into the top rankings, I feel like I'm playing on expert again. The CPU goes for the same move over and over, I can counter them no problem, but it's not much fun to play after a while. I got to about 8-0 with my Lightweight CAF, then met with Thaigo something. He was playing literally like I hadn't changed the settings down to beginner. No matter what I would do, he'd find a way to get a submission victory, even after I beat the stamina out of him.
  22. Not actually having my music near me, I'll just post some. Taking Back Sunday The Chariot Fall Out Boy The Used Lil Wayne Gym Class Heroes Thrice.... That's I can think of at the moment.

    Scrubs

Or even worse, it may become Saved by the Bell: The New Class.
  24. I would say read the manual it came with. I had the game for about a week without going through it, needless to say, it helped me out quite a bit. There's a little chart inside of it that shows you the motions of the ground game, how to get from point A to point b, like from side control to mount, etc. Also, practice practice practice mode, I can't stress this feature enough, it will help you hone in your skills on the areas you need to work on. Start off on a lower level, Beginner, than move your way up after you've figured a good amount of the controls out. I played the demo on expert right out of the gate, when I played the full game, I had to drop all the way back down to beginner in career mode. There's no shame in it really, just didn't know enough about the controls during the demo, I just stuck with a certain game plan. In beginner mode, take your time. You're going to want go for the easy kills, but work on what you need to work on during this time.
