  1. As Saturday came around the diehard fans of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling were surely salivating, being just twenty four hours away from Destination X. But those lucky enough to be able to pick up TNA's weekly syndicated show XPlosion! would get a slight fix for their TNA Wrestling craving, it was in fact THE final stop before Destination X........

    Total Nonstop Action Wrestling:

XPlosion! Results: Saturday March 5, 2005

In the same fashion as last week, XPlosion! kicked off with the opening video package, then the camera panned around the arena showing all of the fans in the arena wearing TNA merchandising and holding posters supporting their favorite superstars. Once things came to a settle, Jeremy Borash and Bert Prentice were shown.

Jeremy Borash: "Hello Total Nonstop Action Wrestling fans, and welcome to TNA XPlosion!"

Bert Prentice: "Bert Prentice here alongside Jeremy Borash, and Jeremy it was last week on Impact! that in a match with the returning David Young, Cassidy O'Riley felt Raven's wrath!"

Jeremy Borash: "Right you are Bert, simply because of Riley's relationship with Dustin Rhodes, the man Raven will face tomorrow night at Destination X in a Bullrope Match Riley was subjected to a brutal beatdown, then Raven had a message for Dustin Rhodes and TNA in general."

Bert Prentice: "Fans, it's this week's Impact! Flashback!"

The Impact Flashback rolled with clips from last week's Impact! Raven set a chair up in the center of the six sided ring, and stared at Cassidy Riley as he tried to use the ropes to pull himself back up to his feet.

Raven walked over to Riley and grabbed him by the hair, Cassidy tried to punch and pull his way out of Raven's grip but he delivered a kick to Riley's midsection before sending him into the ropes and following it up with a drop toe hold forcing Riley face first into the chair he had already set up in the ring. Raven got back up to his feet, and didn't seem finished, once again he lifted a lifeless Riley up to his feet; this time tucking the new comer's head in between his side and arm. Raven looked around at the crowd with a look of disgust and anger, then landed a second Raven Effect on Cassidy Riley! Raven then got back to his feet and motioned for a microphone.

Raven: (looking down at Cassidy Riley) "Dustin Rhodes... take a look at your little confidant here in the ring, a mere example of what surely is to come for you this Sunday at Destination X! For too long I have strayed from my path, for too long I have avoided my date with DESTINY! Well not any longer!"

Raven turned his attention from Riley to the camera in front of him.

Raven: "I sat in Limbo while guys like Nash and Dallas Page, a man I have beaten for gold in the past recieve their shot at the title. What about me!? (Raven tugged at his hair then returned his attention to the camera) Dustin Rhodes you may have picked the stipulation for the match this Sunday, but in turn all you did was choose your own poison."

Raven paced back and fourth in the ring, then for a final time looked deep into the camera.

Raven: "Destination X, my road to destiny returns to it's course, and Dustin Rhodes you will be just another casualty and nothing more! Quote the Raven......Nevermore!"

Raven dropped the microphone in the ring then stood in the crucifix position

    Singles Match:

    Raven Vs Lex Lovett

When the cameras returned to the Impact! Zone, Lex Lovett was already in the ring pacing back and fourth, but it seemed no amount of preparation could prepare him for who he'd be up against tonight on XPlosion! Raven's music played, and he came out with a long trench coat on, "Destiny" was written across his chest and he stood at the entrance position with his arms in crucifix position. When Raven finally did enter the ring he seemed to take Lovett lightly, spreading his arms and asking Lovett to take his shot. Lovett did and the match got underway, again Lovett connected with a punch to the face, he tried once again but Raven blocked and brougth Lex to his knees with a headbutt. Raven delivered fists to the face of Lovett again and again before whipping him into the ropes and going for a clothesline, Lovett ducked and bounced back off of the ropes, then went for a Cross Body. Raven caught Lovett however and slammed him to the mat. Moments later he finished Lovett off with a kick to the gut, and the Raven Effect!

After the match Raven rolled out of the ring and went to the announce positiion, he told Tiny the Timekeeper to get out of the way and grabbed the steel chair that the robust man was sitting on. He slid back into the ring and set up the chair in the center of the six sided structure, it seemed as if Lovett's fate would be the same Cassidy Riley had on Impact! But out of nowhere Dustin Rhodes slid into the ring with the Bullrope in hand.

Rhodes hauled of and whipped Raven with the rope, then the two began trading punches in the center of the ring. Back and fourth it went until Rhodes had Raven on the ropes, then with a clothesline sent him to the outside. Raven retreated while Rhodes grabbed the Bull Rope and posed in the center of the ring before Impact went to commercial break.

    Youth Being Overlooked?

When XPlosion returned fans saw Scott Hudson standing at the Interview position in the backstage area. Standing next to the interviewer was none other than Michael Shane.

Scott Hudson: "Folks Scott Hudson here and I am standing by with one of the men who will compete in the epic Ultimate X Challenge tomorrow night at the Destination X Pay Per View, Michael Shane. Now Michael I have to ask, what do you think your chances are heading into this big matchup?"

Shane had an arrogant grin on his face, but after Hudson's comments the look turned into a more defensive expression.

Michael Shane: "Woah, first of all Scott Hudson what kind of a question is that? You're asking me what I think my chances are heading into this? Duh!? What are you blind or something, I'm Michael Shane... the hottest thing going in TNA, I don't think my chances are good Scott, I KNOW I'm going to walk out of Destination X the three time X Division champion of the World!"

Shane outstretched his arms and was looking toward the cieling as if he was already picturing a title win.

    Scott Hudson: "Well wha".........

Michael Shane: "But you know what Scott, you ask that very same question to Dusty Rhodes, out "DOA" and you'll get a completely different answer, 'cause Dusty Rhodes and all of his "old Time" buddies, they don't see the future before them, they don't realize that their time in the limelight is over, and that it's time to step aside. Dusty Rhodes needs to realize that no one gives a damn about him anymore!"

Scott Hudson: "Well, that's your opinion, but if I do say so we're straying off topic here, are you truly that confident that you have what it takes to defeat the X Division Champion AJ Styles, the Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels, and Chris Sabin in one night."

Michael Shane: "Scott, aren't you forgetting something? I'm Michael shane, I was thee longest reigning X Division champion in TNA History, you want answers, well why don't you ask those three this; How are you going to feel when Michael Shane dances all over yo' face!"

Just like that Shane walked off leaving Scott Hudson looking a little puzzled and alone at the interview position.

Scott Hudson: "Back to the arena."

When the show returned to the arena, Team anada Captain Petey Williams was making his way to the ring with his "Coach" Scott D'Amore and waiving the Canadian Flag. The fans were booing their arrival, and the two just taunted in the center of the ring.

    Singles Match:

    Shark Boy Vs Petey Williams

SharkBoy was out next and the crowd went nuts for him, he ran into the ring and immeadiatly went to the attack on the former X Division Champion Petey Williams with a flurry of punches that knocked him off gaurd. shark Boy whipped Petey into the ropes and applied a sleeper hold, but Williams quickly countered with a belly to back suplex keeping the bridge. 1, 2, .... Shark Boy kicked out. SharkBoy countered a Williams german suplex attempt landing on his feet and followed it up with an enziguri. Shark Boy climbed to the top rope, Williams caught the referee's attention pretending his ankle was hurt, this lead to D'Amore climbing up onto the apron and clocking sharkboy with the Canadian Flag. Williams stalked Shark Boy and when he got to his feet Williams hooked him up and hit the Canadian destroyer for the victory.

The fans booed as Williams raised his arms in the center of the ring, while D'Amore jumped up and down and congratulated his team member.

Bert Prentice: "As Petey Williams celebrates in the center of the ring, lets take you back to Last Week's Impact! Although the 3 Live Kru doesn't know it there seems to be some dissention in the group."

the 3 Live Kru; Konnan, Ron "the Truth" Killings and BG James were hanging out. Konnan and 'the Truth' were standing up while James sat on the bench.

Konnan: "Yo, yo, yo! Sunday we've gotta job to do, you know what I'm sayin? The 3LK surroundin' the ring, there ain't now way double J is gonna walk out with the title."

Ron Killings: "Yo damn right! Finally Jeff Jarrett gets what's comin' to his white ass! It's been too damn long, and it's about damn time!"

Konnan: "Yo B-jizzle, me and the Sun Tanned Superman are goin out on the town if ya know what I mean, you comin'?"

James looked around and seemed to think about it for a second.

BG James: "You know what boys, I'm gonna hang back and play it cool, don't party too hard."

    Konnan: "Heh, your loss Jizzle."

Konnan and 'the Truth' left the locker room and for some reason James let out a sigh of relief. Then, the back door of the locker room opened and the Outlaw walked in. The fans booed loudly.

the Outlaw: "So, you've got it; right? You know exactly how it's goin' down this Sunday, and exactly what you're going to do?"

BG James: "Oh, you know me betta' than anyone. I know exactly how it's happanin'!"

the Outlaw: (smiling) "So it's on?"

BG James: "Oh it's on like Donkey Kong Bizotch!"

With BG James and the Outlaw smiling at each other the Impact! Flashback ended and XPlosion went to commercial.

    Six Man Tag Team Match

Konnan BG James & Ron Killings Vs Bobby Roode Eric Young & Johnny Devine

When XPlosion came back, the Sun Tanned Superman started things off for the Three Live Kru with Team Canada's "Showtime" Eric Young, kicking things off with a collar and elbow tie up, a go behind from Young and he whipped Killings into the ropes.... 'the Truth' walked right into a beautiful fropkick from Young, the Team Canada member hooked the leg but only got two. He made a quick tag to Team Canada's 'Powerhouse,' Bobby Roode. Roode scooped Killings up and planted him with a backbreaker. Bobby Roode kept Killings across the knee and pressed down on the former NWA Champion's neck and leg, adding even greater pain to the now submission hold. The Powerhouse then made the tag out to "Hot Shot" Johnny Devine. They whipped Killings into the ropes and hit a double hip toss. Fans began chanting "3LK!" much to the despise of Scott D'Amore who was telling everyone to shut up. Devine tried to keep Killings grounded, but the crowd got him back to his feet, and with a few elbows he was out of the chin lock... Then out of no where he landed a brutal side kick. Killings jumped over and made the tag to BG James. He came in the ring on fire knocking Devine down with a clothesline over and over each time he got back to his feet. BG scoop slammed Devine then tagged to Konnan. James held Devine's legs apart while Jonnan went to the top rope then leaped off and landed a legdrop downstairs! BG got back into his corner and K-Dawg lifted Devine back to his feet before whipping him into the ropes. Konnan went for the roll through into the clothesline, but Devine ducked and leaped for the tag to Eric Young. Young flew into the ring and took out the knee of Konnan with a dropkick knocking Konnan to the mat. Killings used a blind tag to make himself the legal man once again. Devine planted Konnan with a spine buster, but turned around to a kick to the midesection from the Truth followed by the Axe Kick! BG and Konnan held the rest of Team Canada off while Killings made the pin.

    Comments:

  3. The time had come, with only one Impact! remaining before the Destination X Pay Per View it was the last chance for TNA to sway fans to shell out the $30.00 for the Pay Per View, good news had already come however as TNA was said to be back at Global 5% in terms of Public Interest, stat experts blamed a computer glitch for the twenty six point drop the week prior.

Here it was, the final Impact before Destination X........

    Total Nonstop Action Wrestling:

Impact! Results: Friday March 11, 2005

Impact! came on the air without the usual video package, instead  Abyss was shown in the back pacing around seemingly looking for  something or someone. He tossed a table covered with food over  and threw a couple of folding chairs, when he walked off the camera  panned up further into the rafters where Jeff Hardy was shown  watching the monster from afar.

Tenay and West  announced that Styles would be doing guest commentary for this  next matchup, the first of two Ultimate X Challenge qualifying bouts  here tonight.

    Ultimate X Challenge Qualifying Match

"Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels vs Shark Boy

The presence of the X Division Champion at ringside seemed to  anger Daniels and the "Fallen Angel" immeadiatly went to work on  Shark Boy. He hit a clothesline followed by a knee drop right to the  face of Shark Boy. Daniels tried to wear him fow with a reverse  chinlock but Shark Boy was able to get his feet to the ropes. Daniels  didn't seem to like the fact that Shark Boy was putting up a fight  and hammered him with forearms to the back of the head and a belly  to back suplex. Daniels climbed to the top rope and taunted Styles  on the outside before diving off for a moonsault, but he took too  much time and Shark Boy rolled out of the way. He rolled up the  Fallen Angel with a La Magistra cradle but only got a two count. The  fans in the Impact Zone thought Shark Boy had him. Back to their  feet, a weird exchange lead to Daniels hitting a kick to the  Midsection followed by the Angels Wings to pin Shark Boy and earn  his spot in Sunday's Ultimate X Challenge.

    David Young versus Cassidy Riley

Back to the show we found David Young making his way down to  the ring, Mike Tenay and Don West said that this was Young's last  chance handed to him by the director of authority Dusty Rhodes,  and that if he didn't win tonight, we most likely wouldn't see him  again. Young probably knowing this was his last shot charged at  Cassidy Riley, but didn't connect with him. Instead Riley sidstepped  Young, then caught him with a spin kick to the back of the head  that sent Young against the ropes. Riley whipped David into the  opposing set of ropes and scored with a tilt a whirl backbreaker for  two. Young powered out of a reverse chinlock, and landed a sit out  slam but couldn't keep Riley down. An attempt at a powerbomb was  reversed when Riley scored with a head scissors takedown. Young  got back to his feet and charged at Riley once again only to recieve  his finishing Super Kick to the face! Young fell through the ropes and  to the outside of the ring. The referee kept his attention on Young  as Cassidy waited in the ring, but someone slid into the ring. It was  Raven! Raven spun Riley around and landed the Raven Effect! He  rolled out of the ring, and went toward West and Tenay, meanwhile  Young rolled back into the ring and being the opportunist covered  Riley for the win, thus officially ending his losing streak in TNA  Wrestling!

Jeff Jarrett: "You know what Franchise? I do have something  to say, and that's that I am sick and tired of people living in the  past! Jarrett turned his head and looked at the Outlaw who was smililing  from ear to ear just thinking about what they have planned.

The action was fast and furious for this one as Kid Kash and Petey  Williams seemed to form an alliance early on taking out Elix Skipper  with a nasty powerbomb legdrop combo, but Sabin caught Williams  with a shortarm clothesline sending him to the outside. He followed  after him, and Kid Kash used the opportunity to fly off of the top  rope and onto the both of them with a cross body, all three men  layed in a pile. Elix Skipper got into the ring and when Kash, Sabin  and Williams finally got to their feet he took them down once again  springboarding off of the top rope and summersaulting on to them!  TNA chants broke out throughout the Impact Zone. Williams and  Sabin fought their way back into the ring while Kash and Skipper  battled it out on the outside, Williams went for the Canadian  Destroyer, but Sabin untucked himself and lifted the former X  Division Champion onto his shoulders, he delivered the Future Shock  on Petey, hooking the leg but Kash managed to get in and break the  count at the last second. Skipper came back in as well, and went to  clothesline Kash, but the K.I.D. avoided his attack and clotheslined  him to the outside! Kash turned around and was met by a kick to  the gut by Chris Sabin followed by the Cradle Shock for the victory!

Great stuff thus far man. Continue please. Great job.

Thanks for the feedback once again guys I should have a preview up for next week's Impact! shortly, keep reading.

  5. While Impact was a success, and Total NonStop Action Wrestling as a whole seemed to be moving forward to Destination X quite well, bad news was on the way for the promotion.

    Total Nonstop Action Wrestling:

XPlosion! Results: Saturday March 5, 2005

XPlosion! kicked off with the normal opening video package, and the camera panned around the arena showing all of the fans that were ready for the action that only Total NonStop Action Wrestling could provide. Jeremy Borash and Bert Prentice welcomed everyone to the show and introduced the Impact! Flashback.

The DOA gives the Champion a deadline

TNA Director of Authority Dusty Rhodes took to the rampway with his personal Assistants Traci and Trinity.

Dusty Rhodes:  "I'm out here if you will.... to send a little message to the N dubbya A Champion Jeff Jarrett, and Jeff ma message is that in thirty minutes, yo' ass better meet me in that ring, and if ya decide not to show up... well then Jeff I will strip that N dubbya A Title right off your waist!"

All of a sudden the entrance position came to life and played Michael Shane's music, he came out with a microphone of his own and got into the face of the Director of Authority.

Michael: "Alright, alright I can't take it anymore! I am sick and tired of every week listening to the same thing over and over! Let me make something clear to you 'Mr. DOA' no one cares what you have to say! You and all of the old timers from 'your era' need to realize that it's time to step aside and let the new Generation take over!"

Michael smiled at the DOA who looked surprised, and offended by Michael's statements.

Dusty Rhodes: "well, let me tell you some"........

Michael: "DID I SAY I WAS FINISHED!? No one cares about you Dusty Rhodes, no one cares about Diamond Dallas Page or your fight against Jeff Jarrett, no one cares about your stupidity. People don't watch TNA for this crap, they watch it for me, Michael! (Michael smiled and the crowd jeered quite loudly) and it's a plain fact that you've done nothing but hold me down since you've become Director of Authority, I mean come on why else would I not be in the Ultimate X challenge in two weeks at Final Destination?"

Dusty Rhodes: "You want to know why you ain't in that Ulimate X Challenge son, well lets me tell you why. Because you ain't earned it! But you wants to come out here and talk about my generation steppin' aside, well hows about you prove you deserve to be in the spotlight, and in that Ultimate X challenge?"

Michael: "Just give me my shot!"

Dusty Rhodes: "Alrights then, tonight you's will go one on one with Chris Sabin, and the winner gets the spot at Destination X! And son if you ever disrespects me like you did again, I wills prove to you just where me and "ma generation" belongs, now get outs o' ma face!"

    Michael Shane versus Billy Fives

Shane, the only man so far besides AJ Styles to have secured a spot in the Ultimate X Challenge at Destination X laid into NWA: Florida star Billy Fives right from the get go. Shane used some stiff right hands to get Fives reeling against the ropes, once there Shane whipped him into the ropes and went for the reverse back elbow, Fives ducked and came back off the ropes connecting with a flying forearm. Fives used the next few moments to keep Shane grounded, applying a reverse chinlock but much to the fan's dismay Michael powered out of the hold and connected with a back suplex. It was Shane connecting with the flying forearm next, then he went to the corner and started "tuning up the band" once Fives got to his feet Shane connected with the Sweet Shane Music and covered him for the three count.

Shane arrogantly taunted the crowd, posing in the corner turnbuckles before the show went to commercial break.

When the show returned from commercial break, the masked monster Abyss was shown walking around in the back pulling at his hair, and breathing heavily. From there the show returned to the arena.

    Jay Fury versus Jeff Hardy

Jay Fury, another NWA: Florida star seemed to have his hands full with the "Charismatic Enigma," Jeff Hardy but he got a good offensive flury going at the sound of the bell. Fury took Hardy to the mat with a drop toe hold, and went for a seated headlock, Hardy however kipped up to his feet then springboarded off of the ropes connecting with a DDT. Hardy kept control for the remainder of the match, taking Fury down then hitting his wishbone leg drop. Hardy took his shirt off and climbed to the top rope before leaping off with a Swanton Bomb! 1, 2, 3!

-Jeff Hardy is losing overness because of his weak gimmick.

Abyss stood over Hardy and posed shaking his head ragefully as XPlosion! went to another commercial break.

The show returned from commercial and fans were treated to another flashback from Impact! this time it was the incident between NWA Champion Jeff Jarrett, the Outlaw and Director of Authority Dusty Rhodes.

Jeff Jarrett your time has come

Dusty Rhodes, Traci and Trinity waited in the ring for the arrival of the NWA World Heavyweight champion, Jeff Jarrett.

Dusty Rhodes: "Alrights now... Jeff Jarrett it's time for you to comes down to this ring, but before you do thats, I's got a little something to say, a little someone to introduce to ya'll. Allow me to introduce to ya'll the man who will face Jeff Jarrett for the N dubbya A Title at Destination X, and in my opinion, the next N dubbya A Champion.... DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE!"

His music cued and Diamond Dallas Page came down to the ring through the crowd. Once he was in the ring the fans were chanting "DDP! DDP!"

Dusty Rhodes: "Alright kiddo, I's gots a little something to ask you, Diamond Dallas Page are you ready to once again become the World's Heavyweight champion?"

Diamond Dallas Page: (looking around the crowd that's chanting DDP!) "Dusty Rhodes, you look into my eyes and you tell me am I ready."

Dusty Rhodes: "Why by the looks o' things you surely are!"

Diamond Dallas Page: "You're damn right! And you know why I'm ready?..... because It's time! I mean come on look around here, how many people think it's time for Jeff Jarrett to lose the strap. ("It's time!" from the crowd) Damn right it's time and Jeff Jarrett at Destination X".......

DDP was suddenly cut off by the sound of Jeff Jarrett's music. Not too long after the Champion himself comes out and he's accompanied by the Outlaw. They enter the ring, and Jarrett is given a microphone.

Jeff Jarrett: "Oh my, my, my! Look at what we have here, the DOA and his and picked man to take my title. Oh what a pretty picture huh? Well let me ask you something Dream, what makes DDP so different from all of the other guys you thought would beat me. What makes Dallas so different from Hardy, the Alpha Male, my own kind Kevin Nash and all the others you've set up to take this strap?"

Dusty Rhodes: "Jarrett, yous want to know what makes DDP different, you wants to know what makes this match so different? Well lets me explain it to ya double J, you see DDP is goin' to take that title from you ("DDP" chants from the crowd.) and this ain't going to be any normal match. You see Jeff Jarrett surroundin' this here ring at Destination X when you face DDP will be BG James, Ron "the Truth" Killings, and Konnan the Three Live Kru! So Jeff if you thinks that you're goin' to win with your little guitar or your little buddy there, it ain't goin' to happen at Destination X."

Jarrett looked pissed and he went to grab Rhodes by his collar, Dusty pushed Jeff away quickly.

Dusty Rhodes: "You listen up son, don't you eva' lay your hands on me!"

BAM! The Outlaw suddenly threw a punch connecting to the face of the DOA, Dusty started throwing punches, but the Outlaw took him down and Jarrett started clobbering as well. Jarrett and DDP went at it, until Kevin Nash stormed the ring, connecting a big boot right to the face of the Outlaw. Jarrett quickly rolled out of the ring and the Outlaw caught up with him on the outside. Nash and Page checked up on Dusty Rhodes as the show went to commercial break.

    Monty Brown versus O.G. Scarface

For the third time tonight it was a TNA star up against an NWA: Florida competitor and once again it didn't look good for, in this case O.G. Scarface. The Alpha Male made his usual entrance to the ring to decent fan fare, and controled this matchup from the beginning clobbering Scarface with a shortarm clothesline. Monty just used his sheer size and power to obliterate O.G., whipping him into the turnbuckle. When Scarface bounced off and stumbled backward, Brown charged and connected with the Pounce! He made the cover and surely enough was the victor!

    Monty Brown meet your opponent

The bell rang and the Alpha Male's music began to play. Referee Rudy Charles raised Brown's hand when suddenly the lights in the arena went out. After a few moments the entrance lit up once again, the same way it did when Trytan first made his entrance weeks ago. Brown looked pissed off and jumped out of the six sided ring, storming up the rampway in suit of Trytan.

But what he didn't count on was Trytan attacking him from behind on the entrance way. As soon as the first clubbing blow was landed, the lights returned to normal and Brown fell down onto the entrance ramp. Trytan grabbed Brown by the back of his head and lifted him back to his feet, he kept ahold of Brown and charged toward the entrance position, sending Monty head first into the steel props. Brown laid on the steel as a sadistic Trytan raised his arms into the air. Thats the last that could be seen as XPlosion came to a close.

The Emails following XPlosion weren't the only ones to reach the offices of TNA Wrestling however. The very next day it was discovered that the company's Public Image had fallen from being Global at 5%, to National at 79%! That's a Twenty six point drop in Public Interest in less than two weeks! By all means this was not good news as Destination X was a week away, and the Company was almost banking on the show being a success. Impact! would be a chance for the company to turn things around and bring the viewers back in.

  6. With the Destination X PPV two weeks away, it would be interesting to see the three men DOA Dusty Rhodes would choose to take part in the Ultimate X challenge, and face X Division champion AJ Styles.

With the departure of Frankie Kazarian just a week prior, what would happen to Michael (Shane) and would there be more confrontations between Jeff Jarrett, Diamond Dallas Page, Kevin Nash and the Outlaw? Impact would be another bump as TNA was well on the Road to Destination X.

Rhodes came to the ring carrying a Bullrope complete with a cow bell, just like the one that will join him and Raven at the PPV. Lovett tried to get an offense going at the sound of the bell, the surprise worked for him early on, but the crowd at Universal Studios began chanting "USA" for Rhodes, though Levett is American as well. Rhodes countered Lovett's attempt at a DDT and sit him on the turnbuckle, spreading his legs on each side. He flipped his hand in the air, and charged full speed hitting a boot to the crotch. Rhodes landed a running bulldog on Lovett followed by the move formerly known as the Curtain Call for the victory. After the match he grabbed the bull rope and posed in the center of the ring.

    me too....

Awesome I hope to get quite a few readers for this one, as my other diaries haven't gone so well in terms of feedback, I look to make this my best attempt yet.

Roddy Piper probably wouldn't be working with TNA when he's booked for WrestleMania. Sonjay Dutt, Amazing Red & Glenn Gilberti I believe are all gone as well.

Well TNA Wrestling.com has Piper as a part of the NWA Championship Committee, and Amazing Red and Sonjay Dutt are both still listed on the roster though they haven't been on TV in quite some time. I did slip up on Gilberti though, so thanks for pointing that out, I've removed him from the roster.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.... The New Face of Professional Wrestling

It's one of the better success stories of the modern sporting era, no I'm not talking about the Red Sox win over the Yankees for the MLB Title... I'm talking about the rise to prominence of a little 'rasslin' company started in Nashville by the Jarretts; the most famous of the NWA affiliates, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.

By the start of March 2005 the company had seemingly outlasted anyone's expectations. They evolved from a small promotion running weekly events to a company with a National Television deal and monthly Three hour Pay Per Views. In fact as we enter into our story Total Nonstop Action has four 3 hour mega Pay Per Views under their belt, and a fifth on the way in two weeks dubbed "Destination X."

Now before we begin allow me to let you catch up. Since Victory Road, the company's first Three Hour Pay Per View TNA had been red hot. In fact by the time Against All Odds came about many online fans were already discussing how the 'alternative' wrestling promotion was putting on far superior offerings than the 'big one.' Let's talk about against All Odds for a moment shall we.........

TNA Against All Odds PPV Results

    By: Chris “The Authority” Schultz

    February 12, 2005

TNA delivered another blockbuster pay per view this Sunday night  with some amazing matches and a few surprises. So let’s get down  to it and get to the rundown of tonight’s action.

Lex Lovett & Buck Quartermain vs. Phi Delta Slam (Team Trinity)

The show got started off with Trinity debuting her new tag team,  Phi Delta Slam, and what a debut they made in TNA. Although  Lovett and Quartermain have some experience in a TNA ring,  Trinity’s big boys set the tone of the match. This wasn’t your typical  fraternity, but instead, these were some big dudes who seemed to  have a lot of chemistry with each other. With some help from Trinity  herself, Phi Delta Slam hit their big move dubbed the Tsunami Slam  for the victory. This move involved a huge power slam and then a  splash from the top rope which proved devastating for Lovett and  Quartermain.

    Winner: Phi Delta Slam

Disciples of Destruction (Team Traci) vs. Jerrell Clark & Mikey Batts

It was now time for Traci to debut her tag team. However, this tag  team had a familiar face and sound. Ron and Don Harris made their  return to TNA as a tag team riding to the ring in style on their hogs.  Mr. 630 Jerrell Clark and Mikey Batts didn’t put up much of a fight  while the DOD didn’t work up much of a sweat. Ron and Don Harris  dominated the match and eventually hit their painful H-Bomb in the  end for the victory.

    Winner: Disciples of Destruction

Before the show got started, “The Franchise” Shane Douglas was  backstage trying to get a word from NWA Heavyweight Champion,  Jeff Jarrett, but instead, the “Living Legend” Larry Zbysko walked in  to talk about Jarrett's attempts at using an attorney to block Dusty  Rhodes from barring his guitar in the main event match.

“Primetime” Elix Skipper vs. Petey Williams

What a match up this was. Each of these men were out to prove a  point in this match. Primetime was looking to climb up the ladder in  the X-Division and get a shot at a title he has never held in TNA,  The X-Division Title. On the other end of the spectrum, Petey  Williams was out to prove that he deserves another shot at the title  he held longer than anyone in TNA history. As we have grown  accustom to seeing, Scott D’Amore was at ringside to cheer on the  captain of Team Canada.

The match was full of breathtaking moves which saw each  competitor bring out their best in a battle between two of the X  Division’s best. Scott D’Amore did get involved, but was not a  factor. Primetime was able to block the infamous Canadian Destroyer  piledriver throughout the match. Skipper countered the move at the  end of the match and dropped Petey right on his hid to preserve the  victory and move one step closer to his chance at X Gold.

    Winner: “Primetime” Elix Skipper

BG James & Jeff Hammond vs. Michael Shane and Kazarian

Michael Shane and Kazarian made their way to the ring wearing  Daytona 500 t-shirts in an effort to mock their upcoming opponent.  The whole 3 Live Kru made their way to the ring alongside NASCAR’s  own, Jeff Hammond who was dressed for battle in the 3LK camo. Ron  “The Truth” Killings, Konnan, and BG James got the party started on  the mic as always and the crowd went nuts.

Michael Shane and Kazarian were relying on their experience as a  tag team and the inexperience of Jeff Hammond. Although  Hammond’s inexperience was a definite disadvantage, Killings and  K-Dawg at ringside made Shane and Kazarian think twice about  cheating. Kazarian got a hold of Hammond towards the end of the  match and held him for Shane to get the superkick. Hammond was  able to duck out of the way just in time while Shane kicked his  partner in the head and knocked him out cold. James quickly grabbed  Shane by the legs and pulled him out to the arena floor while, Jeff  Hammond covered the unconscious Kazarian for his wrestling debut.

Winner: BG James and Jeff Hammond

    Raven vs. Dustin Rhodes

These two completely opposite individuals developed a quick hatred  for each other soon after Rhodes joined TNA. It is no secret that the  two of them can’t stand each other. This grudge needed to be  settled in the ring. The two veterans exchanged viscous blows early  on, but Raven soon began to work on Dustin’s legs. Raven dominated  the majority of the match up, and tried to end it with an ankle lock.  However, Rhodes was able to kick out. Raven did end up winning the  match using the ropes for a little leverage.

Raven wasn’t satisfied with the win and continued to pound on  Rhodes after the bell rang. After knocking the big Texan out of the  ring, Raven pulled out a straight jacket from under the ring and  wrapped him up. He then rolled a defenseless Rhodes back into the  ring. Dustin tried to fight back with his legs, but Raven got a shot to  his head with a trash can. The sadistic Raven then buckled Rhodes  to the turnbuckle and got a strap out to do some more damage.

Cassidy Riley ran down to help out his mentor, but was quickly  greeted with an Evenflow DDT by Raven. Raven then went to work  on Rhodes back with the strap until security came down to break up  the action.

    Winner: Raven

The lights then went out in the arena and a video package of Trytan  hit the big screen. It was announced that he will be coming to  Impact this week.

NWA World Tag Team Title Match

America’s Most Wanted vs. Kid Kash and Lance Hoyt

This match was AMW’s biggest challenge since winning back the  NWA Tag Team Championship at last month’s Final Resolution.  Former tag team champions, Kid Kash and Lance Hoyt were out to  prove that the belts belong around their waist. The action was  intense early on with Kid Kash hitting a moonsault from the top rope.  Both teams came prepared to fight and the momentum shifted back  and forth with neither team gaining the advantage.

Kash resorted to what he knows best and that’s cheating as he took  one of the title belts and drilled James Storm with it. However,  Storm was able to kick out based on instinct alone. Wildcat Chris  Harris decided to fight dirty himself when he handcuffed Kid Kash to  the corner of the ring. Kash could only watch on helplessly as AMW  hit the Death Sentence on Hoyt for the victory.

    Winner: America’s Most Wanted

The cameras then shifted to the back where Shane Douglas was  standing next to a limo that pulled into the parking lot. Douglas was  unable to find out who was in it as security surrounded the vehicle.

    Abyss vs. Jeff Hardy

It was easy to tell that this was going to get ugly early on as chairs,  ladders, tables, and chains covered the ring area. Jeff Hardy started  off by filling the ring with chairs in order to do some damage to his  much bigger opponent. The object was to grab one of the 2  contracts that were hanging above the ring. If you pulled down the  one that had a contract to compete for the NWA World Heavyweight  Title on Impact in it, you won the match. It was Abyss’ brute power  vs. Hardy’s speed and high flying aerial assault.

Abyss was the first to strike and flipped Hardy out of the ring early  on through a table. Once Hardy got back to his feet, the action  went up the ramp where Jeff hit the Twist of Fate on the monster,  Abyss. Hardy set up a table at the top of the ramp and was able to  knock Abyss out and lay him on top. Then came the craziest move  of the night as Jeff Hardy climbed the TNA Against All Odds set and  leaped off the top over 20 feet on to Abyss through the table. Both  men laid motionless for a while, but then got back to the ring.

Hardy made it back first and set up a ladder and pulled down one of  the envelopes, but unfortunately it was empty. He needed the other  envelope for the victory. Abyss was back in time to stop this from  happening, and threw Hardy over the ropes and onto 4 tables that  were stacked below. Abyss took this opportunity to grab the  contract for the victory and a title shot on Impact. Hardy did  everything he could in this match, but ended up grabbing the wrong  envelope which cost him. He flipped out following the match,  throwing pieces of table everywhere.

    Winner: Abyss

Team Canada’s Bobby Roode and Eric Young vs. Diamond Dallas Page  and The Alpha Male Monty Brown

Team Canada made their way to the ring first accompanied by  D’Amore and Johnny Devine. The numbers game seemed to be  against DDP and Monty Brown from the start. DDP came to the ring  through the crowd, giving the fans and up close and personal view  of the former World Champion. The experience edge had to go with  the former NWA Tag Team Champions, Roode and Young. This  experience led them to work on DDP early on in the match  preventing him from tagging in the Alpha Male.

Page eventually made his way to the corner to tag in Brown, who  cleaned house once he entered the ring. The former Patriot then got  hit with the infamous hockey stick on his back and was triple teamed  by all members of Team Canada. Monty Brown’s strength proved too  much as he hit the Pounce on Bobby Roode sending him out of the  ring. DDP then hit the Diamond Cutter on Young from the top rope  and got the cover for the win.

Winner: Diamond Dallas Page and Monty Brown

Ironman Match for the X Division Title

The Phenomenal AJ Styles vs. The Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels

This next match up was years in the making. 2 of TNA’s best  athletes were set to wrestle in one of the most grueling matches in  this industry, the ironman match. Daniels was the first to get a pin  after hitting his Angels Wings on Styles. Daniels kept this lead  throughout the majority of the match, but Styles tied it up with a  quick rollup for a 3 count. Nowhere else could you see a match of  this quality. Both men gave it their all.

AJ Styles was busted open and started to bleed after Daniels threw  him into a ring post on the outside. The match was about to end  with Styles caught in a submission move that Daniels had locked in  hard. However, the time was running out and Styles survived the  hold while the clock ran out. Daniels didn’t want it to end this way  and the Director of Authority, Dusty Rhodes, ordered the match to  go into Sudden Death. What came next was an unbelievable  sequence of events that ended with Styles reversing a move from  Daniels into a Styles Clash. AJ was able to get the pin and hold onto  the title. This was a match for the ages!

    Winner: AJ Styles

    NWA World Heavyweight Title Match

    Jeff Jarrett vs. Kevin Nash

It was now time for the Main Event of the evening. Kevin Nash was  out to get the one title he has never held in his career. It’s no  secret that Nash wants the belt for the money, but Jeff Jarrett was  going to make sure that he held onto the title by any means  necessary. The action spilled into the crowd early on and into the  backstage area. Big Sexy was relentless throwing Jarrett into a table  and laying some right hands to the head of the champ, cutting his  forehead.

Jarrett was bloody mess wearing a crimson mask, but was able to  get the advantage back by going to his guitar case? Dusty Rhodes  told Jarrett that he would automatically lose the title if he used the  guitar, but the champ was one step ahead of the DOA and he pulled  out a cello which he slammed over Nash’s knee. Jarrett then kept  working on the bad knees of his opponent. Nash has had 14  surgeries on his knee alone during his illustrious career. Jarrett then  slapped the figure four leg lock to try and get Nash to tap.

Nash got to the ropes to break up the count. He then picked up the  champ and Jackknife Powerbombed him onto the cello, but the  referee was knocked to the ground. Before Nash could do any  further damage, the superstar formerly known as Billy Gunn hit the  ring and attacked the big man. Jarrett got to his feet, but before he  could get to Big Sexy, he was attacked by a returning Sean  Waltman. Waltman hit the X Factor on the champ and left him laying  in the center of the ring. Having seen this, the former Billy Gunn  made his way back to the ring, but before he could get to Nash, his  former tag team partner, BG James pulled him out to the floor. Kevin  Nash was able to kick out of 1 Stroke, but the champ was able to  grab the title belt and knock him to the canvas floor again. After  hitting one more Stroke, Jeff Jarrett was able to get the 3 count and  retain his title.

Against All Odds was a memorable event, not only for the great action in the ring, but the events that transpired as well. With the addition of the New Age Outlaw into TNA, the already hated NWA Champion Jeff Jarrett seemed to have a security plan, something that infuriated TNA fans as chants of "Drop the Title" could be heard whenever Jarrett was in sight.

Not only that but there would soon be tension between his former partner BG James and running mates Konnan and Ron 'the Truth' Killings, as a few times James and the Outlaw were spotted talking to each other.

As we come into our story there have already been some monumental matches announced for the Destination X Pay Per View, they are as follows:

    NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

Hand picked as the next challenger to Jarrett's NWA Championship by Director of Authority Dusty Rhodes Diamond Dallas Page looks to once again stand atop the wrestling Mountain but in order to do that he will have to defeat the 'King of the Mountain' himself, Jeff Jarrett. DDP belives that "It's Time" he becomes the Champion, but Jarrett looks to prove otherwise.

The two Superstars will be tied to the wrist by the rope ensuring that neither man can run from the impending danger that is sure to be involved in this match.

    5. How much do I rock? 10 out of 10 if this diary stays going

  10. I really love the hardcore, no rules, don't give a F*ck feeling of the company, and haven't seen a diary like this yet in EWB. You've got some very edgy characters like the Rednecks and Nazi's, can't wait to see where this goes. I thought the format for the show was just perfect as there's no reason for long full length results until the heavily hyped major shows. The promos were awesome, keep up the great work!

I just got done watching the show, I have to say I usually don't like three way or four way matches but man that one tonight was awesome, I would have liked to see shelton pick up the win, but Knoble definatly deserved it with the showing he put on. The Disciples of Doom look pretty cool, can't wait to see them in the Tag Team title Tournament. AJ really wasn't on the show much, and he got jobbed to Norton I'm pretty dissapointed with that, but all in all I think the show was pretty good, and worth the ten bucks I spent, anyone else catch the show?

I payed for the show, and I really have to say that I most likely won't be buying another one. Strong Style has become so out of touch with their fans that it makes me sick, this is a company that was supposed to be based around the Japanese Style of wrestling, with less gimmics and more emphasis on the matches and the wrestlers. Now we have two big idiots parading around with an ugly chick pretending to be demons or something, a tag team hinting at being gay and constant run ins and shit finishes to matches. Styles is no where near world title material, and yet they're trying to shove him in our face, best part of the show was the four way match, and that wasn't the greatest.

    ---------------------------------

For starters, even wrestlers that compete in Japan have gimmicks, some of them even crazier than "demons" I've seen Japanese wrestlers base theirselves around cartoon characters, so even though Strong Style is starting to give its wrestlers characters, and storylines they're not breaking rules by any means.

And how can you say Styles is no where near World Title Material, you obviously didn't travel to Lakewood and watch any of their events from last year while he was competing in five star matches for the Total wrestling title, if you ask me Styles is overdue for the push he is getting and is handling it quite well.

If you ask me I like the new direction that the company is going. They're starting to get more wrestlers that they can count on to be there week after week, and if they want to grow this is definatly the way to go. More gimmicks, and storylines (as long as they aren't over the top) make for a more entertaining show, and Strong Style has still been heavily promoting WRESTLING above all else. The tag team title tournament I am really looking forward to, hopefully we see some new faces not just Strong Style regulars paired together. I enjoyed tonight's show alot, and am anxious to see where things go with the Shamrock/Styles/ Norton feud as well as Sean O'Haire.

^^^ I totally agree with you, I'm all for tradition but it shouldn't get in the way of evolution and that's what Strong Style is doing right now. I liked the O'Haire segment he's really started to get over as a crazed lunatic, and I can't wait to see what the hell he was talking about "making an impact" The Disciples of Doom have a really cool look, and I don't know what the hell is going on with rico and Riggs but I was glad to see them get their asses kicked. The whole purpose to the Main event was most likely to get some heat back to shamrock and co. after losing to Styles and Lynn last week. I like the pairing of Haas and Trinity, she adds an extra element to Haas' matches, and I hope Charlie gets a huge push soon.

The show was alright, O'Haie wasn't in action which sucked, neither was Jonny Storm. I hope Tajiri and Storm enter the Tag title tournament and come out the winners.

The odds of Tajiri and Storm making it past the first round are slim to none, the Power Company is already rumored to win the tournament, if not them I'd say the DOD. As for the show it was alright, hopefully it will be better next week.

    STRONG STYLE WRESTLING

On Pay Per View February 15, 2004

From the Municipal Center in Lakewood Ohio

The show kicked off with the same opening video package as last  weeks event, and immeadiatly following it is a video package  highlighting last week's Main event Matchup pitting AJ Styles and Jerry  Lynn against Strong Style Champion Ken Shamrock and Scott Norton,  with Styles pinning Shamrock after the Spiral Tap. From there we went  to Don West and Mike Tenay at ringside as they thanked the fans  joining Strong Style from home for purchasing the Pay Per View, and  welcomed everyone to the show. They also announced that tonight in  the main event it will be SCOTT NORTON going one on one with AJ  STYLES!

"The Final Countdown" played next and NWA: Strong Style Total  Wrestling Champion Charlie Haas made his way out, once again the  brown haired woman accompanied him to the ring, Mike Tenay being  the Professor that he is told us that her name was Trinity.

    SINGLES MATCH

    Charlie Haas w/Trinity vs Tajiri

Trinity looked really hot in a nylon body suit with slits all over it, the  Champion stood in the center of the ring with his arms outstretched,  and she took Haas' Title off. Tajiri's music was next and the 'Japanese  Buzzsaw' wasted no time getting to the ring.

They started it off with a collar and elbow tie up that Haas quickly  used as a set up to a side headlock, but Tajiri regrabbed the wrist of  Haas and countered with a hammerlock of his own, Haas hit an elbow  to Tajiri's head stunning the Buzzsaw enough to apply an arm ringer  that is quickly countered with a summersault and lleg sweep. The  strong Style fans applauded Tajiri after countering the former college  Wrestling all American, and it got under Haas' skin, Trinity cheered on  on the outside of the ring. Haas and Tajiri locked up again, this time  Tajiri whipped him into the ropes and hit a rolling sidekick for a two.  Haas would come back to the offensive after a devistating full nelson  suplex, but tajiri later countered a german suplex landind on his feet  and hitting a dropkick to the knees. Haas was in perfect setup and  Tajiri measured him up for the kick of Death, but Trinity jumped up on  the apron and distracting both Tajiri and the referee, Haas ever the  oportunist rolled him up with a school boy and Trinity held onto his arm  for unfair leverage allowing Haas the tainted three count.

Trinity rolled into the ring carrying Charlie's Championship and jumped  into his arms, and the two continued to embrace in the center of the  ring.

    O p e n. I n v i t a t i o n.

from there the cameras went to ringside with Mike Tenay and Don  West, sitting in front of them were two shiny new titles never before  seen in Strong Style.

Mike Tenay: "Folks, it bring Don and me great pleasure to make the  following announcement! Starting next week here on Strong Style  Wrestling we will witness the start of an eight team tounament to  crown the first ever Strong Style Tag Team Champions!"

Don West: "You're not kidding Mike Tenay! There are open signups for  this tournament, that means any team in the world that wants to  become the first ever Strong Style Tag Champs can sign up! It's first  come first serve, and I can't wait!"

Mike Tenay: "Fans, be sure to log on to NWAStrongStyle.com to keep  up with all of the developments in the tournament."

    TAG TEAM MATCH

Rico & Scotty Riggs Vs Kaz Hayashi & Jimmy Yang

Some weird almost classical violin style music played over the public  address when the show returned to the ring, and Rico Constantino and  Scotty Riggs came out from the back dressed in matching pink and  black tights. Rico pranced arouns while Scotty just stared at himself in  the mirror he held in his hand. The fans didn't seem to know quite how  to handle the two. "Screeeeeeeechah!" The sound of the Dragons fiery  cry played next and Kaz Hayashi and Jimmy Yang stepped out from the  back ready for tag team action. They joined Rico and Riggs in the ring,  and after a few moments those who were to start the match off were  decided.

Scotty Riggs started things off with Kaz Hayashi, extending his hand,  but then pulling it away and slicking his black hair back when Hayashi  went to accept the greet. Kaz landed a punch to the face of Riggs,  most likely it knocked the taste out of his mouth. Hayashi pelted Riggs  with some stiff blows, and sent him into the ropes, charging full speed  and knocking him down with a lariat. Tag to Yang and the two are all  over Riggs, that is until Scotty is able to land a military press slam and  tag in Rico. Rico flamboyantly hit the ring, blowing kisses at his  opponents and landing the roundouse kick to both Yang and Hayashi.  But just as he was going for the cover a huge muscular bald headed  man stormed the ring and nailed him right in the face with the big boot!  The referee called for the bell.

The bald man wasn't alone however, in the ring with him was an equally  large man with long red hair. Outside of the ring a black haired woman  was screaming orders at the two. Scotty Riggs charged the red headed  man but for his effort he got nailed with a spine buster! Yang and  Hayashi tried to fight off the monsters as well, but the behemoths lifted  them up and landed subsequent sit out powerbombs.

The woman climbed into the ring then with a microphone in her hand,  and the two giant men stood in the ring right behind her.

the Woman: "Hell hath no fury like hellfire and brimstone! Allow me, the  princess of death, the voice of evil Sera Phiend; to introduce all of you  to the future and FIRST EVER Strong Style Tag Team Champions, hell's  henchmen Seven (looks to the red headed man) and Bane (now the  bald man) the Disciples of Doom!"

The woman rubbed the two men's chests, and got about sero reaction  from each. They just stood there staring as if they were drones.

Sera Phiend: "Any team looking to take those titles, this is your only  warning, Hell has frozen over, and Strong Style is heating up...... Evil  will never die! Prepare to meet your doom!"

Sera Phiend and the Disciples of Doom left the ring, and from there we  were taken to a pre taped video package from the production team.

Sean O'Haire was shown sitting in a white walled room. He was seated  in a wooden chair, the only object that is in the small room. O'Haire's  head was down while his body rocked back and forth in the chair, then  he looked up into the camera with a crazed look in his eyes.

Sean O'Haire: "Ha, ha hah..... ooohhah..... Strong Style, the place that  boasts the accolade of having the hardest hitters in the business, the  place that prides itself on athletic competition..... yet each time I have  stepped into the ring there has been little to no.... competition!"

O'Haire rolled his eyes into the back of his head and laughed  sadistically, a near sickening site.

Sean O'Haire: "Yet after each annihilation of another Strong Style  wrestler Al Snow still tells the Widow Maker that he has to make an  impact in order to recieve his due, his shot at the top prize. Well......Al  Snow if it's an impact that you want, an impact you shall recieve. But  hey..... don't say I didn't warn you!"

O'Haire laughed once again and the package came to a close.

Jamie Knoble, Guido Maritato and American Dragon were already in the  ring when things returned to the arena, "It's all about the  benjamins.....BAAAAAAAAyBay!" Shelton Benjamin then came out with  his singlet straps pulled down. He shook hands with the fans on his way  to the ring, once inside the bell rang for the start of this match. Guido  and Knoble seemed to work as a unit throughout most of the match,  first trying to take out American Dragon, then turning their attention to  Benjamin. The teamwork stopped however when Knoble tried for the  cover, and Guido pulled him off. they argued then when they seemed to  have settled this they turned opposite ways only to meet american  Dragon and shelton Benjamin ready with a double clothesline! The  matched waged on.....Guido went for the Sicilian Slice on American  Dragon but Dragon hangs on to his tights and tosses him over the top  rope and out to the floor. The cameras switched to the back where Scott Norton was shown  sitting in the locker room and taping his wrists, Ken Shamrock stood in  front of him pacing around with the Strong style Heavyweight  championship over his shoulder.

Ken Shamrock: "GOD! I can't believe that last week! Arghhh! Scott  tonight, you get Styles one on one in the ring, and damn it you had  better make him pay! That punk kid needs to learn that around here,  Ken shamrock puts the asses in the seats, not AJ Styles."

Scott Norton: "Look, Ken I've got it covered. After I get down with  Styles tonight he's no longer going to be a threat to either of us, cause  I'm gonna break his freakin' shoulder! Besides, you don't have to worry  about Jerry Lynn tonight, he's off being put through tables in  Philadelphia. After tonight, AJ Styles is history."

    MAIN EVENT SINGLES MATCH

    AJ Styles Vs Scott Norton

"You are you are..... I am I am!" AJ Styles music hit in the arena and  the crowd went completely nuts as he stepped out from behind the  curtain dressed in a sleeveless hoody. Styles walked to the ring and  clapped hands with the fans before jumping up on the apron and  posing.

Scott Norton made his way out next to some hard rock anthem Strong  Style has produced for him. He arrogantly raised his arms in the air and  badmouthed Styles. Styles first tried to use his speed to get the  advantage on the powerful Norton which worked until scott caught him  after a Cross body attempt and brought him down over his knee with  the back breaker. Norton choked Styles out with his knee while AJ was  in the ropes, and then argued with the ref. He called for his Shoulder  breaker powerbomb, but Styles countered his attempt and landed a  dropkick that sent the big man to the outside with a nasty bump. The  fans got on their feet when AJ motioned that he was going to the  outside. Styles with a suicide plancha and Norton collapses to the  outside. Styles got up and rolled him into the ring, then called for the  Pheonix splash. STRONG STYLE WRESTLING PPV Spoilers

    Tuesday February 12, 2004

From the Municipal Center in Lakewood Ohio

    Results by the EbonyDeala

    (Highlight to reveal)

The Municipal Center was just about as packed as last week, if not  more. Looking around in the crowd there were alot of people with AJ  Styles shirts on, once again I was one of the first to arrive at the  building and got to see which dark matches Strong Style was offering  for the night.

    DARK MATCH

    Lex Lovett vs Sean O'Haire

Lovett is part of Strong Style's new "Open Door Policy" being that we  will be seeing alot of new faces in the upcoming weeks, some may  become permanent and others could be expendable. Unfortunatly for  Lovett his match was against the much bigger and red hot Sean  O'Haire. Lovett really didn't get much offense in at all, and after a very  stiff spin kick to the face O'Haire lifted up Lovett and plated him with  the Widow Maker for the three count.

From there Mike Tenay and Don West came out from the back and took  their places at ringside. After a few moments the theme song for the  Pay Per View played over the Public address and the logo came on the  big screen.

    SINGLES MATCH

    Charlie Haas w/Trinity vs Tajiri

Haas once again came to the ring with the black haired woman, this  time she was dressed in a black almost nylon like suit with rips all over  it in all of the right places, if you know what I mean. She took Haas'  Total Wrestling Championship off in the ring and Tajiri was out next.  They started it off with a collar and elbow tie up leading to some quick  exchanges, Tajiri proved he could hold his own with a college wrestling  standout and All American, Just as Tajiri was about to land the kick of  death Trinity jumped up on the apron and distracted him. Haas rolled  him up with a school boy and Trinity held onto his arm for unfair  leverage and Haas gained the three count.

    Winner: Charlie Haas

The two celebrated in the center of the ring, from there the cameras  went to ringside with Mike Tenay and Don West. They announced that  starting next week there will be a tournament to crown the first ever  Strong Style Tag Team Champions. Signups are open to any Tag Team  that wants to be a part of the eight team tournament on a first come  first serve basis.

    TAG TEAM MATCH

Rico & Scotty Riggs Vs Kaz Hayashi & Jimmy Yang

Rico and Riggs came out to the ring in matching pink and black tights,  as well as corresponding bandanas, the crowd really gave them hell  chanting "faggots!" The Dragonz were out next and dispite their "evil"  nature the fans chose to cheer for them over their flamboyant counter  parts. Rico and Riggs actually held their own quite well with the  seasoned duo of Yang and Hayashi, that was until two LARGE men ran  into the ring and destroyed everyone. Tenay says that they are Bane  and Seven, and their tights say Disciples of Doom on them. Pretty  much it's Travis Tomko and Kevin Fertig repackaged as a tag team.  Outside the ring there is a woman SCREAMING as the two men continue  to annihilate the men in the ring.

    Winners: No Contest

Bane and Seven (Travis Tomko and Kevin Fertig) roll the four men out  of the ring, and the Screaming Woman gets into the ring with a  microphone. She says that her name is Sera Phiend (Daffney) and that  the two behemouths in the ring are Bane and Seven, the Disciples of  Doom. She goes on to say that they have entered the tournament to  crown the first Tag Team Champions, and they WILL walk away with  the titles.

From there we were taken to a pre taped video package from the  production team. Sean O'Haire is shown sitting in a white walled room  and looking psychotic in the camera. O'Haire talks about making an  impact, and talking on and on I couldn't really hear with the morons  behind me screaming "O'Haire is a god!" but I'm pretty sure he ended it  saying "Don't say I didn't warn you."

    FOUR WAY MATCH

American Dragon Vs Jamie Knoble Vs Guido Maritato Vs Shelton  Benjamin

By all means this was THEE match of the night, Tenay and West said  that the winner of the match would recieve a shot at Charlie Haas'  Total Wrestling championship in two weeks. So much action went on in  this match I can't even tell you here, the match finish came when  Guido went for the Sicilian Slice on American Dragon only to be tosses  to the outside, when Dragon turned around he was met by a superkick  for Benjamin that knocked him off of his feet, as soon as Benjamin  turned back around Knoble hit the tiger Driver for the three count!

    Winner: Jamie Knoble

From there we went to the back where Scott "Flash" Norton and the  "World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock were sharing a few words.  Shamrock was still fuming over the loss he suffered to AJ Styles last  week, and told Norton that tonight his job was to make sure there was  nothing left of the so called phenomenal one. Norton told shamrock  that he had it covered, and a commercial for the latest merchandise  was played.

    MAIN EVENT SINGLES MATCH

    AJ Styles Vs Scott Norton

Before the match started some video clips of last week's main event  tag team match were played with Styles hitting the Spiral Tap for the  three. Styles came out to an incredible pop, this guy is over with the  strong Style fans! Norton is next and makes an arrogant entrance.  Norton dominates the match in the beginning with his power, but Styles  countered his attempt at the powerbomb shoulder breaker with a  dropkick that sent the big man to the outside with a nasty bump.  Styles with a suicide plancha and Norton actually sells it. Styles rolls  him into the ring, then calls for the Pheonix splash, but before he can  hit it Norton is on his feet and knocks AJ off of the ropes, ref bump  later on and Styles springboards off of the middle rope, backflips and  lands a reverse ddt on Norton, cover but no ref! Ken Shamrock runs  down the aisle, and slides into the ring. the two go at it and Styles  tosses shamrock to the outside. AJ goes back for Norton, but gets a  kick to the gut and is planted with the Shoulder Breaker Powerbomb!  The ref is magically alive and Norton makes the cover for three!

    Winner: Scott Norton

The crowd really gave Norton and Shamrock hell as they made their  way to the back happy with their handiwork, and the PPV came to a  close.

    STRONG STYLE WRESTLING

On Pay Per View February 8, 2004

From the Municipal Center in Lakewood Ohio

"Taking Care of Business" played when the cameras picked up in the  arena prompting the entrance of Strong Style Owner Al Snow. Snow  got a good ovation from the energetic crowd that was on hand, he  even shook hands with many of the people lucky enough to be seated  at ringside. He got in the ring and was handed a microphone.

AL SNOW: "Wow, just look around here....... this place is packed! (fans  made noise as Snow looked around the municipal center) Yeah, and not  only are all of you on hand, you're all ready to see what Strong Style  has to offer! (even more noise.) Well don't you worry, the hardest  hitting promotion in all of the National Wrestling Alliance has one heck  of a show lined up for you tonight! That's right, but right now as I'm in  the ring I'd just like to thank all of you people here in attendance and  the ones watching tonight on Pay Per View from all over Ohio!"

The fans cheered showing their support of the company and Snow had  a smile on his face.

AL SNOW: "You know Strong Style has really come along way and it  wouldn't have done so without all of you, you fans are the reason we  do what we do, and I'd just like to".........

Before the Strong Style owner could spout anymore out of his mouth  the words "STEP INTO MY WORLD......STEP INTO THE LION'S DEN" were  heard, and then the Strong Style Heavyweight Champion stepped out  through the entrance position, he wasn't alone either as the man that  played a crucial role in Shamrock's title defense, Scott Norton  accompanied him. The fans really gave Shamrock hell as he walked to  the ring with the title strapped around his waist, Snow didn't look too  happy about being interrupted, and he went to talk but Shamrock  quickly snatched the microphone out of the owner's hand.

KEN SHAMROCK: "You know aI stood in the back hearing this load of  crap that you're shooting out of your mouth, and I just couldn't take it  anymore. Let me set you straight right now "Mr. Boss Man," the only  person you should be greatful to isn't any of these fools sitting in the  audience, it's ME! I'm the guy that has carried this company on his  back, before me Strong Style was nothing; without me Strong Style  would be just that.... NOTHING!"

Shamrock smiled and Norton just stood with a grin on his face and his  arms crossed over his massive chest. the fans in the arena began  chanting "Shamrock Sucks! Shamrock Sucks," and the champion looked  around with a grin on his face.

KEN SHAMROCK: "Oh, I suck do I? Do I suck because I have yet to face  defeat in the Strong Style ring? Is that it, oh I know..... I suck because  I still have this title around my waist, and your little hero AJ Styles  doesn't......that's it, right?"

The Champion seemed to strike the right cord there, "AJ! AJ! AJ!"  chants began.

KEN SHAMROCK: "Let me tell you fools a little something about what it  means to be a Champion, alright? A Champion will do anything it takes  to walk out of the arena night after night with his title still in tact, just  like I have done; night after night! A Champion is ruthless, and will take  ANY option it takes, including hiring a hired gun (pats Norton on the  back) just like I have done. AJ Styles is not ruthless, and therefor AJ  Styles is not the Champion!"

Snow has seemingly had enough of Shamrock in the ring and grabs for  the microphone, but Shamrock holds it back.

KEN SHAMROCK: "Oh wait here, I'm not done yet. I don't know what  you've got planned for me tonight, but it better not be anything in this  ring because tonight I'm not doing anything."

    //EWR Rating: 78%

The Champion seemed like he didn't want to wrestle, then "I am" played  over the speakers and EVERYONE went crazy when AJ Styles came out.  Dressed in red white and blue, and with a microphone in hand AJ  stopped at the entrance spot.

AJ STYLES: "First a guy that calls himself the best in all of Strong Style  has to keep a three hundred pound mutant next to him in order to hold  onto his title, and now he doesn't want to wrestle! You know Ken, I  used to think you were a man of honor, and a man of pride. I thought  you were a guy that represented everything that Strong Style stands  for, but now I look in that ring and all I see is a scared man that will  resort to anything in order to keep the one thing that makes him worth  anything."

Shamrock and Norton looked on but Styles wasn't done.

AJ STYLES: "You know you talk about being ruthless, but Ken at  PerseVerance you proved it to the entire world, you're not  ruth-less...... you're gut-less! You doubt my ruthlessness Ken, well how  about this. It seems the Phenomenal One has a score to settle with  both you and cue ball over there, so tonight if it's not much trouble  Champ how about the BOTH of you step into the ring with  A...J...Styles!?"

Shamrock and Norton looked at each other, and laughed. Shamrock got  on the microphone and asked Styles if he was crazy, and said he had a  deal, but Al Snow snatched the microphone back away from the  Champion.

AL SNOW: "I don't think so, after PerseVerance I know the way that  you two work, and sorry AJ you won't be wrestling wither of these two  tonight. (fans booed) Well actually I should put that differently. You  ALONE won't be facing these two tonight. You see Ken whether you  like it or not, I'm the boss around here and you wrestle when I say you  will. And just to flex my executive muscle, tonight's Main event it will  be the Strong Style champion, Ken Shamrock teaming up with Scott  "Flash" Norton to take on AJ Styles and....... a partner of his choosing!"  Now you can get the hell out of MY Ring!"

"Taking care of business played over the speakers again, Shamrock  didn't look happy but Norton was trying to talk him down, then the  production team played some commercials to get fans to order Strong  Style merchandise online.

"The Final Countdown" played next and NWA: Strong Style Total  Wrestling Champion Charlie Haas made his way out, he wasn't alone  though as a brown haired woman in a tight leather outfit accompanied  him to the ring. Taiyo Kea and the ring announcer stated that there  was a ten minute time limit for this title contest.

NWA:SS TOTAL WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE  MATCH

    Charlie Haas© Vs Taiyo Kea

Mike Tenay and Don West, said they had no idea who this woman was  that was with Charlie Haas, Haas and Kea began things with a tie up in  the ring and immeadiatly Kea used his size and power to his advantage.  He backed Charlie into the corner and punished him with knees to the  midsection. Kea dominated early on but Haas took every dirty trick that  he could to get the advantage back, an eye rake here, and poke there.  Ken landed a Superkick to Haas' jaw sending him to the outside, and  while Kea went out to lift Haas up, the Woman he brought out with him  jumped up onto the apron and climbled to the top rope. The fans went  crazy when Kea turned to face and she landed an awesome  hurricanranna from the top rope and to the outside! Haas brought him  into the ring but only got a two count, the end came when Kea went  for a powerbomb, but Haas rolled over his back and rolled the former  title contender up into a school boy with a hand full of tights for the  three count!

O'Haire laughs almost as if he doesn't believe what he's heard.

SEAN O'HAIRE: "TWO of your former title contenders have fell to me in  little time, Hidaka talked about how tough he was, and I ran him out of  here. but hey you want an impact.... alright.......but don't say I didn't  warn you."

O'Haire just turned and walked out of the office while Snow looked  puzzled then rolled his eyes and continued on with his paper work.

    RETURN BOUT TAG TEAM MATCH

Jung Dragonz Vs Tajiri & Storm

West and Tenay put over how this was a return bout from the  Perseverance Event, Tajiri and Jonny Storm were out first, they  seemed to be on the same page since arguing after defeat the last  time they faced the Dragonz. The match started off with quick  exchanges, and as Tajiri was about to land the kick of death to Kaz  Hayashi He was quickly lifted up into the air a FLATTENED with a spine  buster! Sean O'Haire had interrupted the match, and the referee quickly  called for the bell. He landed Widow Makers to both Storm and Hayashi,  and chucked Tajiri and Yang out of the ring... they hit the floor with a  sickening thud. The fans booed loudly as O'Haire lughed sadisticalled in  the center of the ring, guessing he'd made an impact.

Styles seemed to be thinking about it.

AJ STYLES: "You know I haven't decided yet, but I'll keep you in mind."

Styles patted Blackman on the back then walked away and another  commercial hyping the Strong Style merchandising was played.

    SINGLES CONTEST

    Shelton Benjamin def. Scotty Riggs

Shelton Banjamin came out to some decent fan fare, and he would be  facing a man new to Strong Style, Scotty Riggs. Riggs came out to the  ring with a mirror and couldn't stop looking at himself all the way down  the isle, Benjamin got things started off with a sideheadlock, Riggs  countered for a back body drop but Benjamin countered by landing on  his feet, he went for a kick but Riggs caught the leg, little did he know  Banjamin would fire back with his weird version of the enziguri. The  match went back and fourth for a little while, but Benjamin won with a  T-Bone Suplex.

Shamrock's music hit again and the  Champion and his henchman made their way to the ring much o the  disproval of fans all over. Once he and Norton were in the ring Styles  was next. Then it was AJ's turn and he came out with a microphone  once again.

AJ STYLES: "Without further adue, allow me to intrduce my partner for  the evening.............JERRY LYNN!"

The crowd went nuts at the fans near dream team of Styles and Lynn.  Jerry and AJ charged the ring immeadiatly going to work on shamrock  and Norton.

    MAIN EVENT TAG TEAM MATCH

AJ Styles & Jerry Lynn Vs Ken Shamrock & Scott Norton

The referee had a hard time getting control of the match, but  eventually did. Styles and Norton started things off and the monster  used his power moves to try and explode the smaller Styles. AJ got the  hot tag to Lynn and Jerry leveled all comers with hard right hands. The  referee became leniant with the count outs on the outside, not  instituting it at all. Lynn and Norton fought on the outside, and Jerry  was handed a chair by a fan, he flattened Norton with a brutal shot.  THe match was great, and both sets of partners tagged out back and  fourth. Styles countered a Ankle lock with a cradle, but only got two.  Shamrock hit a belly to belly and then climbed to the top rope. Norton  and Lynn brought their fight into the ring, while Shamrock was on the  top rope Lynn sent Norton into the ropes, Shamrock slipped and  slipped, spreading his legs right on the top turnbuckle. Lynn  clotheslined Norton to the outside of the ring, and then he and Styles  landed a painful double superplex on the Champion. AJ then leaped onto  the top rope and landed a magnificent Pheonix Splash on the Champion,  Lynn made sure that Norton couldn't get back into the ring and the  referee made the count as Styles covered the champion!

From the Municipal Center in Lakewood Ohio

    Results by the EbonyDeala

    (Highlight to reveal)

I must say, Strong Style management did a very good job hyping this  event, I was one of the earliest people to get into the Municipal Center  and it filled up quickly. Vendors were all over selling the company's  t-shirts and other merchandising, there were even clowns in the  parkinglot that were selling boot legged copies of the companies  events, they stayed out there all but 15 minutes until the authorities  got their hands on them. At around 7:30 things were finally set, and  because I was lucky I got to see the dark match prior to the actual  Pay Per View tapings.

    DARK MATCH

Power Company Vs Travis Tomko & Kevin Fertig

In case you didn't know, the Power Company are identical twin brothers  by the names of Dave and Dean Powers, two big guys with long brown  hair, and despite being brothers they act a little well...... funny with  each other. Take for instance when they got into the ring after posing  on the turnbuckles they hugged in the center of the ring, okay they're  a little close. Then throughout the match whenever they'd make a tag  to each other, they'd hug. Fans began to chant unfriendly remarks  towards the two, and together they shouted back "We're not faggots;  we're brothers!" Tomko and Fertig are actually bigger than Dean and  Dave, and have a "Darkside" sort of appearance about them, could be  good selling if Strong Style keeps them around. Both teams looked  pretty cohesive in the match, the Power Company pulled the switch a  few times without the referee knowing, Dave and Dean hooked up  Fertig in a slingshot double vertical suplex type move that a guy in the  audience said was called the "Power Outage." The brother's weird ways  got a responce out of the crowd, there's talks that Strong Style is  adding a Tag Team title to the forefront, the Power Company could be  the team to capture them.

After the two teams left the ring, the ring crew cleared things up and  went over everything to make sure all was go. Don West and Mike  Tenay came out, and there were a lot of "Pro-fess-or" chants.

"Taking Care of Business" played at the official start of the show, and  Strong Style owner Al Snow came out to the ring. He got on a  microphone and thanked all the fans in attendance and those tuning in  all over Ohio, he was about to say something about how great Strong  Style has become when another Entrance theme began to play.

With Snow's interruption, out walked Strong Style Heavyweight  Champion Ken shamrock, and next to him was the man mountain that  aided him in his victory at PerseVerance, Scott Norton.

Shamrock got into the ring, and told Al Snow the only thing he had to  be thankful for was that he ever came to the promotion, and the fact  that the "World's Most Dangerous Man" has chose to call Strong Style  his home. the fans really booed the hell out of Shamrock.

That made him mad, and he asked the fans why they boo him now but  cheered for him like crazy last month, he said something about to be a  great Champion you have to be willing to do anything to keep your  title, even if it means making controversial decisions, I think he was  eluding to Norton. Then Shamrock asked about the night's card saying  that Snow had better not of made plans for the Champion because he  didn't feel like wrestling.

Then "I am" played over the speakers and EVERYONE went crazy when  AJ Styles came out with a microphone. Styles talked about honor, and  said Shamrock was a dishonorable man and Champion, then he said he  wanted to take both he and Norton on at once.

Shamrock and Norton loved the idea, but Snow had a better one he  told AJ that tonight it would be Shamrock and Norton against Styles  and any man he wanted as a partner. with that everyone went  backstage while they played some commercials telling us to go to the  concession and merchendising stands.

"The Final Countdown" played next prompting NWA: Strong Style Total  Wrestling Champion Charlie Haas to make his way out, only he didn't  come out alone he had a woman with him. She had long brown hair, her  face wasn't really pretty but she had a killer body, the guy behind me is  either a wrestling guru, or blowing smoke out of his ass, he said she  was "Trinity" but I had never seen her before.

NWA:SS TOTAL WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE  MATCH

Charlie Haas w/ Trinity Vs Taiyo Kea

Kea was once fighting for contendership to the Strong Style  Heavyweight Title, since then his stock has fallen a little bit, but he  wanted nothing more than to win the total wrestling title. Kea used  more of a brawling attack that clashed with Haas' technical approach.  Kea dominated early on but Haas battled back, and the woman he  brought with him kept distracting the referee allowing the Total  Wrestling champion to keep cheating. A really good spot in this match  came when Haas and Kea were outside the ring, the woman climbed  onto the top rope and did a flipping hurricanranna to the outside taking  Kea down! Haas won the match with a school Boy rollup and a hand full  of tights, really good match!

It's weird now that Strong Style has a production team and large  screen, because in the Backstage Sean O'Haire was shown talking with  Al Snow. O'Haire boasted about taking out Kea and Idaka, and told  Snow that he should be getting his shot at the title. Snow told him  something about having to make an impact in order to gain a title shot,  OHaire mumbled something about making his own impact tonight.

    RETURN BOUT TAG TEAM MATCH

Jung Dragonz Vs Tajiri & Storm

It looked like that at least for the moment Tajiri and Storm had patched  things up since PerseVerance and looked to get back at the men that  beat them at the show. The match started off with quick exchanges,  but the attention soon turned to Sean O'Haire who came running down  the ramp and sliding into the ring. O'Haire looked HUGE compared to the  smaller guys in the ring, and began delivering blows to all of them. He  landed Widow Makers to both Storm and Hayashi, and chucked the  other two out as if they were garbage. The fans really gave Strong  Style hell for allowing this match to end a no contest. The guy behind  me wouldn't stop bitching about how if Strong style is to represent  tradition they need to stop doing things like this.

Another scene from the back this time AJ styles and Steve Blackman  were shown, Blackman told Styles that he would like nothing more than  to have another shot at Norton, and said he'd be AJ's partner if he  wanted him to. AJ said he'd think it over.

    SINGLES CONTEST

    Shelton Benjamin def. Scotty Riggs

Riggs was wearing a ponytail, and came out to the ring with a mirror,  fans were giving him hell for it. Shelton recieved a decent pop. This  match really didn't gel together fully as they only went about six  minutes, Benjamin won with a T-Bone Suplex.

West and Tenay continued to pump up the Main event and speculated  as to who Styles partner would be. Shamrock's music hit again, and it  looked like I was about to find out. Once he and Norton were in the ring  Styles was next. HUGE pop for AJ again, then he took the microphone  and announced that his partner would be......... JERRY LYNN!

Lynn's music played and the two rushed to the ring full speed.

    MAIN EVENT TAG TEAM MATCH

AJ Styles & Jerry Lynn Vs Ken Shamrock & Scott Norton

This match was freaking awesome, oh my god it was so good that I  can't even do it justic writing it down. Inside and outside the ring, ref  bumps, finishing moves and kickouts. If I didn't know any better I'd say  that it was the match of the year so far, while shamrock was on the  top rope for god knows why Lynn sent Norton into the ropes a move  that crotched Shamrock right on the top turnbuckle. Lynn clotheslined  the behmouth to the outside of the ring, and then he and Styles landed  a painful double superplex on the Champion. Aj then leaped onto the  top rope and landed a magnificent Pheonix Splash on the Champion,  Lynn made sure that Norton couldn't get back into the ring and the  referee made the count as Styles covered the champion!

Lynn and Styles celebrated their win making their way to the back,  that's where I think the Pay Per View ended, the fans were ecstatic  about the finish of the match and this was one heck of a first weekly  PPV if you ask me.

    Newsline Account 1/25-1/31

Huge, Huge and I mean HUGE update coming at you with this week's Newsline report, lots of information on PerseVerance, NWA: Strong Style Events, talent and more.

    1/25/02- The feeling coming off of PerseVerance is that the show was a great success for the promotion, the event was attended by 2,224 people and ticket sales were over $68,000 dollars. NWA: Canadian Stampede held "Times of Trouble" Pay Per View that brought in $303,640 in ticket sales and 7,591 people. other events of the month included;

    - NWA:TX's 'NWA:TX Full Force' show was attended by 3502 people,

They made $140080 from ticket sales.

    - NWA:LA's 'NWA:LA For Whom The Bell Tolls' show was attended by 716 people, They made $21480 from ticket sales.

    - NWA:MC's 'NWA:MC Time Crisis' show was attended by 2894 people, They made $86820 from ticket sales.

    - NWA:EC's 'NWA:EC Damage, Inc.' show was attended by 3675 people, They made $147000 from ticket sales.

Things are certainly looking up for Strong Style as we continue to grow in popularity, and search to broaden our markets.

1/26/02- Twin brothers Dave and Dean Powers, better known as the Power Company have signed on to compete in NWA: Strong Style. The Twenty Eight year old brothers have worked on trial terms for both NWA:EC and NWA:LA, if Strong Style Executives are happy with their performance it is likely that they will be asked to stick around the promotion on a regular basis, this comes as big news especially since there is alot of talk that the Tag Division will shoot up soon.

1/27/02- HUGE NEWS COMING AT YOU!! This comes straight from the desk of Al Snow, Strong Style chairman. It seems that he has struck a deal with a local cable provider on a special program series for Strong Style. The Cable Promotion has offered to air a weekly Pay Per View for the company that will be taped on Tuesdays and aired on Fridays, and will be available for purchase all over most of Ohio. "This is a big step forward for the promotion," proclaimed Snow. "This is a special opportunity for us to get what we have to offer available to the entire state of Ohio, where our territorial boundaries lie, and with time I feel that Strong Style will be able to move up from the Municipal Center in Lakewood, and travel over most of Ohio with our shows."

It is believed that the Pay Per Views will lead up to a more promoted Show (Still one of the weekly PPVs, just more heavily booked) at the end of each month. That's four Strong Style offerings available to the public, instead of the one monthly event that Strong Style has previously offered. Keep checking the newsline on the site as more on this subject is posted.

1/27/02- More on the new weekly Pay Per View, the show is entitled NWA: 'Strong Style Wrestling', and once things are running smoothly, the last show of each month will have a subtitle (ex. NWA: Strong Style Wrestling; PerseVerance) and that show will be a supercard type show offered at a slightly higher price than the other weeks Pay Per Views. A Subtitled Pay Per View isn't expected to be offered until March. What may sound confusing in print won't be so confusing when those with the PPV availabilty call the provider. The first show is signed for Friday February 8, 2002.

1/28/02- Four Strong Style wrestlers have signed an "Oath of Loyalty" with the company, this document is a written oath that the wrestler who signs it will not compete in other organizations for extended periods of time. This differs from a written contract (which the NWA has frowned upon in recent years for fear that a promotion with many written contracted workers would be able to successfully defect from the alliance.) in that the performers will still be paid on an appearance basis, and not a monthly salary. The four wrestlers to have signed the Oath are AJ Styles, Charlie Haas, Ken Shamrock and Jamie Knoble.

1/29/02- Three former NWA Strong Style Wrestlers have left the promotion to find work elsewhere, these men are former NWA Heavyweight Champion Gary Steele, Greg Pawluk and Chris Hamrick. Strong Style wishes these men the best of luck in the future.

1/29/02- 30 year old Scotty Riggs, 31 year old Travis "Bane" Tomko, and 24 year old Kevin "Seven" Fertig signed to compete with Strong Style Wrestling today, while none of them are expected to be long term, the same deal that was offered to the Power Company was offered to them. Basically if you impress, you will be asked back. There is expected to be an "Open Door" policy implemented now that Strong Style has a weekly event, but that isn't a fact as of yet.

1/31/02- Although the PerseVerance Event brought in alot of money for Strong Style the company was still losing money, but owner Al snow has hope that with the upcoming programming and event schedule things will turn around for the company. Merchandising, and advertising costs are said to be the expenses that are costing the company money right now.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, had alot of crap to do. Should be back on soon with another Newsline Account as well as a preview for February's first Pay Per View Event. The winner of the predictions contest was both Standard and Maddog, both of you can PM with your banner requests.

    NWA: Strong Style: PerseVerance

Live from the Lakewood Municiple Center, 1/25/02

At 7:30 the gates officially opened in the Lakewood Municiple Center, many fans got their early in order to raid the merchandise stands for the latest releases in that department including new t-shirts from the Heavyweight Champion Ken Shamrock, and official Strong Style trading cards. The arena reached near full capacity at 8:00, the official starting time for all the Strong Style action.

Looking around the arena, the crowd is jam packed, ready and waiting for the action that only Strong Style Wrestling can provide. The entrance position bears the Strong Style logo just above the heavy steel entrance structure, something new to Strong Style sits above the logo, a small (40x70) Flat video screen is now a part of the entrance set. Good sign that Al snow's "last chance" promotion is turning profit. At the commentary position 'the Professor' Mike Tenay is with the 'explosive' Don West. Tenay and West welcome the fans to the first Strong Style Event of the new year, then without a moment's hesitation they send it to the ring where ring announcer John House takes it away.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall and will be fought under standard Tag Team Contest Rules."

Some oriental style music plays over the public address, and the new Vido screen is displaying some nifty "TAJIRI" and "JONNY STORM" logos. Sure enough the two make their way out to the ring together, this being the first time that they have ever paired, and they will have their hands full tonight.

"First at a combined weight of 385 lbs, they are the team of Yoshihiro Tajiri and Jonny Storm!"

After posing on the turnbuckles for a few moments the screaching sound of what is guessed to be a dragon overcomes the public address, and it is now that the Jung Dragonz, Kaz Hayashi and Jimmy Yang make their entrance to the ring. the evil foreigners intice a negative reaction from the crowd, they can dislike their demeanor but without a doubt there's no way anyone can disrespect what these teo get done in the ring.

"And from Tokyo Japan, at a combined weight of 387 lbs, they are Jimmy Yang and Kaz Hayashi, the Jung Dragonz!"

the Dragonz deviously slide under the bottom rope and into the squared circle, looking around at the crowd and anxiously awaiting the contest to begin.

    Tag Team Warfare

    Referee: Alan Woody

Tajiri & Jonny Storm Vs Kaz Hayashi & Jimmy Yang

Tenay and West put over how the Dragonz are coming off of an impressive tour of Japan, and that this is the first time Tajiri and Storm have teamed up. Hayashi and Storm start things off in the center of the ring, Storm holding out his opened hand wich is locked up along with his other by Hayashi and the two go for a test of strength, Hayashi hits a knee to the midsection and applies an arm wringer. The move is quickly countered with a flip by Storm followed by a leg sweep and cover, but only a one count. They are back to their feet, and begin circling each other in an attempt to measure each other up.

Back into the tie, Hayashi shrugs Jonny Storm and snaps on a side headlock. Jonny powers out sending Hayashi into the ropes, leap frog over the japanese import and Storm hits a spin kick upon his return from the other ropes. Storm grabs Hayashi's arm and drags him over into the corner, tag to Tajiri.

The "Japanese Buzzsaw" comes in with stiff kicks to the ribs of Kaz before grabbing his arm and whipping him hard into enemy territory, Jimmy Yang takes it as his opportunity and slaps the back of Kaz making himself the legal man. Tajiri nails a standing sidekick that knocks Kaz off of his feet, and most likely knocked the taste out of his mouth. Yang has climbed to the top rope, and Tajiri sensing this turns to face, only to get nailed with a high flying cross body. Jimmy yang keeps the leg hooked but only gets a two count, and the crowd is finally showing life in this one.

Yang rolls over and gets to his feet before Tajiri, when Yoshihiro finally gets up he is dropkicked for his effort. Back to the corner, Tajiri is in trouble as Jimmy Yang charges full speed into the corner, but Tajiri with a beautiful counter straddles the shoulders and hooks the arms of Yang. The "Buzzsaw" reaches over the top ropes and grabs Yang's feet locking him into the deadly Tarantula!

Tajiri has until a four count to break it up, but Kaz doesn't like the fact that his partner is being tourtured and charges into the ring, but Storm cuts him off with a gruesome clothesline. Hayashi rolls to the outside grabbing his neck. Tajiri has since broken his Tarantula hold and directs Storm to go to the top rope. He does, and Tajiri holds Yang's arms back. Jonny Storm leaps off of the top rope with a missile dropkick, but in just the knick of time, Yang breaks away forcing Storm to totally nail his own partner!

The damage is done, and Storm can't believe what just went down, Yang grabs him from behind and tosses him through the ropes and to the arena floor. Yang signals to the crowd that he's going to the top rope, and does so. Yang Time connects, and the count is academic.

    Winner(s): @ 8:43 Kaz Hayashi & Jimmy Yang (Yang p. Storm)

    (70 52 89)

Hayashi and Yang embrace each other outside of the ring, Tajiri lies in the squared circle holding his midsection and Jonny Storm looks disappointed as the Dragonz finally go back through the curtain.

Tenay and West are at the commentary position, Tenay puts over how great it is that Strong Style now boasts a video tron, that being that they are now able to air video packages, and interviews from earlier in the day. Tenay says that speaking of video packages here's one from the man who will challenge for the NWA: Strong Style Heavyweight Championship tonight, AJ Styles.

    Styles has Championship Dreams

The screen comes to life, displaying a black and white, 1920's style picture. AJ Styles stands in the center with a cut off hoody and black bandana, behind him is the Strong Style logo prominently displayed.

AJ Styles: "They say it only takes three seconds, and a little help from lady luck on the right night to become a champion. Ken Shamrock, last month at Sub Zero you made AJ Styles a superstar."

Styles stares into the picture, his face displaying a look of seriousness.

AJ Styles: "You admitted it yourself Ken, AJ Styles took you to the limit and beyond, something that you never expected. Ken Shamrock last month you made AJ Styles a superstar, tonight you make AJ Styles a champion! I'm so close to getting that title, I'm so close that I can..... taste it! Shamrock I am ready, one Styles Clash and Three seconds are all that I need, and I will walk out the NEW NWA: Strong Style Heavyweight Champion. Heh, after all it about time AJ Styles brings some STYLE to the Strong Style Championship."

    //EWR Rating: 82%

"Ladies and Gentlemen, the following Fatal Four Way Contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the NWA: Strong Style Total Wrestling Championship! Making his way to the ring first, The "Italian Shooter" Guido Maritato!"

Some Sicilian style music plays and sure enough the "Shooter" himself, Guido Maritato comes out from the back. "Guido Sucks" chants begin to be heard and for this Guido just gives the ol' italian salute (that weird F*** You hand under the chin gesture.) When he gets in the ring he climbs the corner and and points to various fans in the audience, badmouthing each.

"And from Hanover West Virginia, coming in at 218 lbs this is Jamie Knoble!"

"Fuel" (Instrumental) by Metallica plays now and Jamie Knoble, clad in cut of jeans, and a ripped up flannel shirt storms his way toward the ring. Knoble points at a fan with a sign reading "Knoble is a god to trailor trash everywhere," and acts as if it's the greatest compliment in the world. Knoble takes the corner opposite of Guido.

"And the final challenger in this contest, the American Dragon!"

Dragon's music, reminiscent of a 1980's hard rock anthem plays and he comes out to a good applause from the Lakewood crowd, Dragon wastes no time sprinting to the ring, and sliding into the squared circle. The three men in the ring spout words that aren't encouraging to each other. Now a classical sports theme plays over the speakers marking the entrance of the champion.

"Finally, weighing in at 234 lbs he is the National Wrestling Alliance Strong Style Total Wrestling Champion, Charlie Haas!"

Haas slowly makes his way out from the back with arrogance, and the Strong Style Total Wrestling Title over his shoulder. Haas points in the ring at his opponents and rolls his eyes, West and Tenay put over how it isn't smart to underestimate your opponents.

Total Wrestling Championship: Four Way Dance

    Referee: Kevin Ratcliffe

Charlie Haas© Vs American Dragon Vs Guido Maritato Vs Jamie Knoble

All four men here know just how important the Total Wrestling championship is, and each man would like nothing more than to walk away with the title. Haas slides into the ring, and his opponents seemingly have had enough of his cocky demeanor, all three stomping away on him before the bell tolls. It does finally, and the three men whip Haas into the ropes, then triple team Charlie lifting him into the air, and tossing him to the outside of the ring!

With the Champion seemingly out of it now the three men begin to battle it out. Guido gets an upper hand on Knoble with a go behind and subsequent belly to back suplex. But Dragon gets his hits in, and stuns the "Shooter" with a reverse vertical suplex. Charlie Haas hides outside of the ring throughout the contest, saving his energy and keeping himself out of harms way.

After Knoble gets nailed with the Sicilian slice from Guido he is out of the picture, and Dragon and Maritato battle it out in what has turned into a singles match. Beautiful exchanges ensue, Dragon hits a Northern lights Suplex that would surely have put the fiery italian away, but Haas chooses that now is the time to enter the ring and break things up. Guido still hurting rolls out of the ring. Haas locks on the Haas of Pain, but Dragon makes it to the ropes. An enziguri from American Dragon gets things going on his side, and he goes to the top rope. Dragon leaps off with a flying Cross body but Haas rolls through and has a hand full of tights, 1, 2, 3!

Winner(s): @ 11:23 and Still Total Wrestling Champion, Charlie Haas (by pinfall)

    (75 62 88)

Haas quickly rolls out of the ring and snatches the Total Wrestling title from referee Kevin Ratcliffe. He doesn't spend another second at ringside, and hightails it back to his lockerroom while in the ring American Dragon can't believe he's been duped.

The production team airs another one of their creations, this time a commercial like video clip advertising the new line of Strong Style Wrestling t-shirts. Order your Ken Shamrock t-shirt online, or at the next Strong Style Event!

"Ladies and gentlemen the following singles contest is scheduled for one fall, and there will be a fifteen minute time limit. Introducing first, from Orangeberg South Carolina, weighing in at 238 lbs, Shelton Benjamin!"

"It's all about the Benjamin's.... BAYBAY!" Shelton Benjamins theme song rips over the speakers, and the former NCAA All American comes hopping out from behind the curtain swinging his hands attempting to get the fans fired up once again, after the fantastic total Wrestling Title Match. Benjamin slaps hands at ringside with all of the fans before jumping into the ring and waiting for the arrival of his opponent.

"And his opponent, weighing in at 243 lbs, Rico Constantino!"

Rico comes out and looks focused for his contest, all business and no fun tonight as this match is being dubbed a match to prove who is worthy of a Total Wrestling Championship Title shot.

    Singles Contest

    Referee: Andrew Thomas

    Shelton Benjamin Vs Rico Constantino

Rico and Shelton start things off with a collar and elbow tie up, Rico goes for the headlock which is quickly shrugged off with a push into the ropes, Constantino hurtles his opponent and bounces back off of the ropes connecting with a shoulder block on Benjamin. Rico again hurtles his opponent and bounces back off of the ropes, but Benjamin kips up to his feet and hits a hip toss that makes rico cringe in pain.

Some quick changes over the next few moments get the crowd a bit more into the match. Rico connects with a superplex from the top rope that would put any oridinary man away, but Benjamin kicks out at two. Some more exchanges, and Rico whips Shelton into the ropes as Benjamin returns from the ropes, Rico fires off his deadly spin kick, but Benjamin ducks and puts on the breaks, Rico turns to face and Benjamin nails the T-Bone Suplex! Hook of the leg and Andrew Thomas gets into position, 1....2.....3!

    Winner(s): @ 5:01 Shelton Benjamin (by Pinfall)

    (65 49 81)

Benjamin gets his hand raised in victory after a good battle, and the crowd applauds his efforts. Could Charlie Haas and the Total Wrestling Championship be in this man's near future?

Another video clip is played, this one hyping the much anticipated rematch between Jerry Lynn and Low Ki later on in the night. Tenay and West talk about how this one could be the match of the year.

"Lethal Weapon" begins to play, and Steve Blackman makes his way out from the backstage area. He is without his numb chucks, but his expression is just as deadly.

"Ladies and gentlemen the following No Disqualification contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first weighing in at 255 lbs, the Lethal weapon, Steve Blackman!"

Once Blackman is in the ring "Smoke on the Water" (Instrumental) by Deep Purple begins to play, and Scott "Flash" Norton steps out from behind the curtain. Norton raises both arms in the air exposing his broad chizzled chest. The crowd doesn't like him, and he doesn't care for them too much either. Norton climbs up the steel steps and into the ring, staring across the ring at the man he called out for this one, Steve Blackman.

    Toughmen Grudge Match (No DQ)

    Referee: Alan Woody

    Scott Norton Vs Steve Blackman

Norton claims that he is the toughest SOB in North America today, that whole mindset being the reason that this match came about. Blackman is as tough as they come, and is a Strong Style regular; Norton on the other hand has come from NWA Los Angelas and has a holier than thou attitude about him.

The sound of the bell is heard only seconds before Blackman's body is shown flying across the ring. The angered "Lethal Weapon" runs right into Norton with a shoulder block, knocking him back into the corner of the ring. Norton, realizing that he may have bitten off more than he could chew with Blackman widens his eyes. Blackman proves why he is called the Lethal Weapon knocking hard kicks in the midsection repeatedly.

Norton tries to push him away, but Blackman continues slugging away with kicks to the stomach. Finally the referee is able to pull the two apart, and Norton is allowed to once again breath in some air. Blackman screams a war cry, it's obvious that this man is not playing around at all.

Using the ropes for extra support Scott Norton is back to his feet. Steve Blackman wastes no time what so ever, and immediately runs right at Norton with his arms out wide. Right when he makes it to him, Norton ducks down, and rips his body back up, making Blackman fly right up into the air. Blackman's body is shown flying out of the ring, and the fans all shout in awe! Blackman smacks the outside of the ring hard with a crack, while Norton taunts the fans.

Norton goes under the top rope and stands on the apron when Blackman returns to his feet Scott delivers a devistating axe handel smash. Blackman stumbles backwards, Norton immediately grabs Steve by the hair of his head and throws him toward the stairs.

Blackman goes flying, smacking right into the side of the steel steps with his bare back. He slowly lifts the "Lethal Weapon" back onto his feet, grabbing his bare back with three huge red welt marks on them. Suddenly. Blackman whacks Norton's arms away, and goes for a right hand.... Norton blocks, grabs Blackman's head and smashes his head of the ring apon.

Blackman staggers back a bit, but only seconds later "Flash" picks him up into the air, and drops him right down onto the steel steps. Steve Blackman screams as he is slowly slid back into the ring. Now Norton has the ring skirt lifted and is digging deep for something good. Seconds later he pulls out a steel chair from underneath the ring. He slowly grabs it and slides back into the ring, while Blackman is getting to his feet Norton slides into the ring and brings the chair up over his head. He runs at him and swings at full force but Steve Blackman quickly brings his foot up, kicking the chair right into Norton's face! Norton falls backwards dropping the chair in the center of the mat.

Blackman flashes the cut-throat sign saying that this one is finished and as Norton gets back to his feet, Blackman bounces off of the ropes and goes for the pump kick, but Scott Norton catches the leg and lifts Blackman up into Powerbomb position. Showing his brute strength Norton tosses Blackman up in the air and catches his body, then brings him down with his trademark shoulder breaker powerbomb! Norton gets back up, red faced and pissed off. He pulls his singlet straps down and lifts Blackman back to his feet. He tucks Steve's head in between his legs and delivers yet another Shoulder Breaker Powerbomb! Norton places one foot on the chest of Steve Blackman and the referee makes the count. 1.....2....3!

    Winner(s): @ 11:12 Scott Norton (by pinfall)

    (69 70 67)

Scott Norton's arm is raised in the air, and the big bull looks very impressive with his Strong Style debut. Norton shoves the referee away, and Spits in the face of Steve Blackman! Nothing like adding insult to injury.

Tenay and West put over how dominant Norton was in that showing, and that it sickened them the complete lack of respect he displayed for his opponent. Then another video package from the Strong Style production team is played, this one with Jerry Lynn.

Low Ki is ready to fight!

The screen comes to life once gain, displaying the same black and white, 1920's style picture only this time it is Low Ki that stands in the center of the screen, behind him is the Strong Style logo prominently displayed.

Low Ki: "Jerry Lynn, it has been months and months since last we met, but finally Strong Style and the NWA have sanctioned the match. Finally I once again get you, a man that is supposed to represent pride, and honor in the center of the ring. Jerry Lynn, you said that when next we meet it would be my career that is shortened, but Jerry Lynn make no mistake about it after I am through it will be you that has no career left!"

He stares into the camera with glaring eyes.

Low Ki: "Jerry Lynn, there's no preparation, there's no time left all that you can do is..... be ready!"

    //EWR Rating: 66%

"It's for your own good!" With that phrase Sean O'Haire's music begins to play and the "Widow Maker" steps out from the back with his wild hair covering his face and a long black trench coat on his body.

"Ladies and gentlemen the following contest is scheduled for one fall, making his way to the ring at this time, weighing in at 285 lbs, the Widow Maker, Sean O'Haire!"

O'Haire continues to march on in his menacing way, once in the ring he takes off the jacket. Another Oriental style theme plays marking the entrance of his opponent.

"And his opponent weighing in at 245 lbs, this is Taiyo Kea!"

Kea doesn't have a long entrance, he runs down the isle and slides into the ring, but before he can mount anysort of offensive Sean O'Haire is all over him.

    Singles Contest

    Referee: Kevin Ratcliffe

    Sean O'Haire Vs Taiyo Kea

O'Haire kicks some STIFF kicks to Kea, then whips him into the ropes and nearly decapitates him with a clothesline. O'Haire works on Kea on the mat for a few moments, then lifts him up and slams him down with a spine buster for a two count. Kea kicks out, and O'Haire doesn't like it. Kea gets a few shots in and sends O'Haire into the ropes only to recieve a spin kick to the face.

O'Haire lifts Kea up and plants him with the Widow Maker, a version of a Fireman's Carry Slam, then goes to the top rope and delivers the Seanton Bomb. 1, 2, 3!

    Winner(s): @ 4:23, Sean O'Haire (by pinfall)

    (69 70 67)

O'Haire laughs as the referee raises his hand in victory, O'Haire has just put away a Heavyweight title contender in less than five minutes! Tenay and west are going crazy about O'Haire's dominant performance.

Another Video Package plays, this one hyping the night's main event and Ken Shamrock's path of destruction. Then it's back to live as Jerry Lynn's music plays.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall, making his way to the ring first from Minneapolis Minnesota Jerry Lynn!"

Lynn slaps hands with the fans, then slides into the ring waiting for Low Ki's arrival.

Low Ki's music plays and he has a no frills demeanor. The fierce competitiveness in him is shown as he methodically stares at Jerry Lynn and walks to the ring.

"And his opponent, from Brooklynn New York, Low Ki!"

Low Ki slides into the ring and stands in a fighting stance. The two men tare at each other until the referee finally calls for the bell.

    Lashing In Lakewood Rematch

    Referee: Andrew Thomas

    Jerry Lynn Vs Low Ki

The bell rings, and both Lynn and Low Ki begin circling each other in the ring, a lockup ensues, Low quickly ties him up with an arm bar, and kicks Lynn's legs out. Low Ki wrenches on the arm until Lynn kips up, and flips out, forcing the Brooklynn native to break the hold. Lynn pushes Low-Ki into the corner, but the referee forces a break. Low Ki pushes Lynn backwards, and Jerry snaps whacking a stiff chop across the chest of Low Ki, but Low Ki brushes it off and delivers a stiff kick to his midsection.

DDT from Low Ki, and he wraps his legs around the midesction of the veteran, Lynn reaches out grabs the rope and forces the break. Lynn rolls to the outside grabbing his ribs. Lynn slides back in and punches Low Ki right in the face, the two men begin exchanging blows, but a legsweep trips Lynn down, Low ki goes to work the leg but once again Lynn gets to the ropes.

Back in standing bases, Low Ki charges forcing Jerry Lynn to slump down in the corner. Low Ki backpedals then tries to dropkick him in the face, Lynn rolls out of the way and Low Ki smashes into the turnbuckle. Jerry ynn picks Low Ki up and plants him with a back body drop, then locks in a texas cloverleaf submission. After a few moments it's clear that he won't make it to the ropes, but out of nowhere he rocks the hold and rolls Lynn up with the small Package, 1....2.... kickout!

Lynn is back up, as is Low Ki, relying on Martial Arts once again, Low Ki drives Lynn to a knee with stiff kicks, Low Ki goes to kick Lynns head off but Lynn ducks and rolls him up, only getting a short two. Pulling Low Ki up from the ground, Lynn gets chops to the chest for his effort. Low Ki has Lynn in the corner, but a well placed boot to the midsection lets Lynn get some chopping action of his own.

Lynn then nails a knee to the midesection and goes for the cradle piledriver only to have Low Ki reverse it with a bridge! 1, 2..... kickout! Lynn hops back to his feet, Ki whips him into the ropes, and Jerry Lynn jumps over Low Ki then takes him down with a Sunset Flip! 1, 2..... Low Ki kicks out and dropkicks Lynn in the face!

Low Ki lifts Jerry Lynn up into Alabama slam position, and threatens to sit down forcing Lynn's head into the mat, but Lynn counters with hard strikes, then locks hands between the legs, when Low ki bends back over Lynn lifts him up and nails the Cradle Piledriver! the cover is made, 1, 2, 3!

    Winner(s): @ 14:34 Jerry Lynn (by pinfall)

    79 68 91

Lynn has made good on his word with a win over Low Ki, and his hand is raised. Low Ki looks pissed off and gets into the face of Jerry Lynn, then sucking up his own pride Low Ki extends his hand and the two shake in the center of the ring.

Mike Tenay and Don West put over the show of sportsmanship, then hype the Main Event, and it is time for that match now!

"I am" plays over the Public address marking the entrance of the challenger for tonight's bout, sure enough AJ Styles comes out to a large applause from those in attendance. He slides into the ring, and poses in the corner.

"World's Most Dangerous" plays over the PA and Ken Shamrock the Strong Style Heavyweight Champion comes out with a black boxer style robe, and the championship around his waist.

    NWA:Strong Style Heavyweight Championship Match

    Referee: Speedy Nelson

    AJ Styles Vs Ken Shamrock©

He turns to face Styles, World Championship around his waist. The fans are cheering and chants of, "AJ" start to circulate throughout the arena. Shamrock eventually hands referee Speedy Nelson the NWA: Strong Style Heavyweight Championship belt but not before he raises high in the air forcing AJ Styles to look up at it. Shamrock is focused, and just locks in on his opponent Styles hasn't diverted his attention from the champion. For Styles this is his second chance, and first for gold. The two men now stand in the center of the ring eyeing each other in the middle of a intense stare down.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Strong Style in cooperation with the National Wrestling Alliance have sanctioned the following contest, it is scheduled for one fall and it is for the NWA: Strong Style Heavyweight Championship!"

Tenay and West put over the fact that these two put on an incredible match last month at the Sub Zero Event, and that Styles has been training hard to be in peak shape for this fight. West says he's going with Shamrock while Tenay sides with the challenger.

"Introducing first, the challenger, from Gainesville Georgia weighing in at 215 lbs, he is a former two time Strong Style Total Wrestling Champion, dressed in the blue tights with red and white trim, he is the master of the Styles Clash, and Pheonix Splash, the challenger, the amazing AJ Styles!"

Styles raises his hands and the crowd nearly blows the roof off of the place, there's no doubt that in the biggest match of his career he has a lot of fan support.

"And, weighing in at 245 lbs, dressed in the black tights, and padded black boots, he is the master of the Belly to Belly Suplex, and ankle Lock, he is the current reigning and defending National Wrestling Alliance Strong Style Heavyweight champion, he is the 'World's Most Dangerous Man,' this is Ken Shamrock!"

The Champion raises his hands in the air now, and the crowd show their respect for the man that has blazed through the likes of such names as Hidaka, Blackman and Tanaka. Styles seems to have the edge in the fan department but it seems as though the Champion really could care less.

Not wanting to make the first move they stand there. The bell is rung after Nelson hails the title around each side of the ring reminding fans that this is indeed what it is all about... Finally Styles breaks the stare down and shoves the champion backward. Connecting with an even greater force than the first one, Style shoves the Champion again, with that Shamrock lunges at Styles, striking him with a fist right to the face, a sickening shot reminiscent of the hard hits Strong Style was first based upon.

This punch takes Styles by suprise but he regroups in enough time to counter the fuming champion with a series of rights and lefts to the midsection. This sends Ken Shamrock against the ropes and Styles winds up and swings, but misses as the champion ducks the attempted haymaker. Styles then turns drop-kicking AJ into the ropes followed by a hard clothesline taking him to the outside of the ring. Shamrock quickly follows suit, rolling under the ropes and going to the outside of the ring. He grabs AJ by the hair and lifts him to his feet. Shamrock takes him by the head, and goes to ram his head off the turnbuckle post, Atyles gets his leg up and blocks the attempt then takes the Champion's head and bonces it off the cold steel. Styles follows it up with an irish whip sending the champion into the announce table. Bouncing off on impact Shamrock falls down to the floor at ringside.1....... 2....... 3....... 4........ 5........ 6......... 7........ 8....... 9........ Styles rolls into the ring and then back out knowing full well a count out victory doesn't grant him a Championship victory.

Shamrock is getting up to his feet, but before he can AJ Styles grabs him by his tights and tosses him right into the security railing at ringside back first. 1.... 2.... 3.... 4.... 5.... 6.... 7.... 8.... 9.... Styles rolls Shamrock into the ring, and stands on the apron, AJ springboard off of the top rope and lands a leg drop, hooking the leg 1, 2, ....... the Champion kicks out!

they get back to their feet, Shamrock favors his shoulder. In a match that started off with respect they seem to have lost all self control, as it's turned into an all out brawl. They exchange hard rights and lefts, Styles drops down to a knee and gets back to his feet only to be met with a right hand followed by an attempted uppercut that he blocks. But the Champion is still one step ahead as he rocks him with a right hand. Styles hits the mat but jumps back to his feet only to be caught in a splendid Northern lights Suplex by the champion! This takes the breath out of Styles, and at the last second he is able to kickout.

Shamrock lifts styles to his feet once again and pelts the challenger with forearm shivers to the face, whip into the ropes Shamrock goes for the wheel kick, but Styles catches Shamrock in the air and lands a sit down powerbomb. 1, 2.... Kickout! Styles pulls his hair having thought to have the match won, he gets into the face of Speedy Nelson certain that it was a three count. Shamrock has made it to his feet after Styles turns around, and delivers a kick to the gut. Shamrock hooks the arms and seems to be going for the Tiger Bomb, but Styles counters with a back bridge, 1...2.....2.9999! The fans are very vocal at the referee believing that Styles had the three, and frustration is building for the challenger.

Shamrock rolls over still favoring his shoulder but he grabs Styles and hits a knee to the midsection, go behind and Ken rolls Styles up with a small package, but only gets a two count. Now Shamrock shows frustration, He slams his fist into the canvas irate. Styles gets to his feet, but shamrock steam rolls him with a hard clothesline. Shamrock snaps, and grabs the leg of AJ Styles locking on the most feared submission hold in the US Today, the Ankle Lock! Styles screams in pain as Shamrock wrenches on the hold, but AJ shows his strength and gets to one foot, then Enziguris the Champion! Both men are down and Styles holds his ankle in pain. After an eight count they are back up and the action continues. After a Shamrock is against the ropes Styles charges only to be backdropped out of the ring and to the arena floor.

They battle it out on the outside once again for the next few moments, the count is broken by both men in order for the violence to continue, then the referee, not wanting the action to stay on the outside rolls out and tries to seperate the two performers, Styles ducks a Shamrock right hand, and Shamrock instead of cold cocking Styles with the punch it is the referee who is met with a knock out blow. The ref crumples up in a heap and he falls down at the feet of AJ Styles at ringside. Now with no referee it is Marshall Law here and these two get things brutal. Shamrock continues his assault on the challenger punching him followed by a clothesline sending him over the top of the railing. The Champion follows him as Styles can hardly stand up on his own strength as he tries to escape. Shamrock chases after him and then goes for another clothesline line but AJ Styles tosses a cold beverage into the face of the madman blinding in. As Shamrock wipes his eyes Styles hits the dragon Whip Kick taking him down.

As the fans cheer and chant AJ AJ AJ while he stands over his fallen opponent. Now he takes Shamrock back toward the ring and it is the champ who is tossed over the railing. Rolling Shamrock back into the ring, Styles is seemingly on a high, but he allows the champion to get to his feet, a seemingly bad move as Shamrock hooks up the patented Belly to Belly Suplex, Shamrock goes for it, over the head and the match is seemingly over only Styles lands on his feet! Shamrock turns around and is taken by surprise as Styles meets him with a kick to the gut of his own, and follows it up with the Styles Clash! The crowd is going wild as Styles makes the cover, but there's one problem.... the referee is still out cold. The crowd counts the three, but Styles can't believe his luck he had the Champion beat!

Styles gets to his feet, and turns around looking for the referee on the outside, but before he can even approach him A huge man charges into the ring! It's Scott Norton! Styles never saw him coming, and the gigantic beast lifts him up to the air and literally explodes his spine with a sickening spine buster! The crowd is livid now, as Norton decides that it wasn't enough and picks Styles back up delivering his bone shattering Shoulder Breaker Powerbomb. Big Scott, grabs Shamrock and places him on Styles before going to the outside and chucking the referee back into the ring. It's a miracle as the referee is alive once again. 1, 2, 3! This one is over!

Winner(s): @ 20:21 and Still NWA Strong Style Heavyweight Champion, Ken Shamrock (by pinfall)

    (87 77 97)

The crowd is almost in riot mode as Shamrock is handed the Strong Style Heavyweight Championship. Now Scott Norton climbs back into the ring and the Champion, seemingly unaware of the whole mess that just transpired slings the title over his shoulder and gets into a fighting stance, not sure of what Norton's intentions are.

The big brute gets into Shamrock's face, and the two ignite in a stare down, then just as they are about to come to blows Shamrock cracks a smile and the two embrace in the center of the ring. What a conspiracy, these two were in it from the get go. Shamrock looks down at AJ Styles and stands over him with the Championship belt pointing at the gold and yelling in his face. Tenay and West put over how shocked that are that the man who has carried Strong Style on his back for the past few months would resort to such measures to keep his title. With that the first show of the new year is over.

  19. I must say I really am enjoying this diary, everything thus far has been GOLD! It really has the feel of TNA around the time of its inception, and Steamboat involved with the promotion helps establish the old school NWA feel that you're aiming for in this diary.

Everything in my view so far has been totally realistic, and your promos/ segments have been very enjoyable. I like the way you're going with the Harris Bros/ Pitbulls feud, but I was sold on that simply because Francine is involved and she's thee hottest bitch on the planet. I'm expecting some good ol' fists o'fire brawls in this one.

I like how you're establishing Corino as a legitament threat to the title, alot of times when people discuss past NWA champions Corino is overlooked, and it's a shame because he was one of the most traveled NWA Champions during his reign. Double J is used effectively, and I actually like the fact you're giving Hall a go with the title lets just hope he doesn't cause too many problems backstage.

A Shamrock Malice feud would be a ratings getter in my view. What better of a way to get the monster over than a feud with the World's most Dangerous Man?

I know Buff Bagwell isn't the greatest in the ring but I'd like to see you keep him around, as he was over with the fans, and has alot of charisma. If anything else he's a good tag team wrestler and can be placed in a tag team once that division gets going.

The X Division is looking good thus far, Shark Boy is a must get, as he can add alot of comical relief if needed. How about stealing one from TNA and pairing him with Stormin' Norman?

Loved the Styles/ Low Ki confrontation as well as the Gauntlet match. The rematch between Corino and Hall should be good, something tells me that Jarrett will stick his nose in it and we won't get the match we want to see. Make sure you sign up Kazarian for the X Division as he's simply the coolest!

Keep up the good work, I'll keep reading.

Strong Style Wrestling>News>Shamrock at Press Conference

It's official, with the backing of NWA Strong Style management as well as the World Heavyweight Champion Ken shamrock, the promotion's next major event entitled PerseVerance (A play on the fact that no one thought Al Snow's promotion would last a year) will be headlined by a much anticipated World Heavyweight Title match between the Champion Shamrock, and a man who gave him quite a challenge at Sub Zero in AJ Styles.

"I have to admit that I was taken off of my game last month," stated the Champion during the conference. "I never saw it (the effort that Styles put into it) coming.

Shamrock is of course referring to the time limit draw ending to their phenomenal encounter. "I've lasted through Severn, Tanaka, Blackman and Hidaka. So far that match was my hardest one, what kind of a champion would I be if I didn't put my title on the line this time around?"

NWA Strong Style owner and head booker Al Snow had the following to say; "I'm very impressed with the match that these two put on last month. Strong Style is all about action, and that's what we're going to deliver with this Strong Style Heavyweight Championship Match between Styles and Shamrock.

Though may feel that Styles accension into the top tier of the company comes a bit premature, no one can argue that he is one of the most successful performers in the promotion's history being the first man to hold the Total Wrestling Championship, and holding nearly all the records for that division. Styles has the opportunity of a lifetime, PerseVerance will tell if he has the ability to cash in on it.
