  1. I very happily select Trent Green, QB, Kansas City Chiefs
  2. Alright its been 2 days, almost 3. So Randy gets himself Tony Gonzalez to finish off round 3. Round 4 starts with Randy getting himself Rudy Johnson, RB, Bengals Thuganomic Selects: Chad Pennington, QB, Jets MSC is up...and he just got offline...this is not my night
  3. Friendly Advice: Don't make a new thread every week
  4. Clawson selects Travis Henry, RB, Buffalo Bills
  5. Go find Let Them Eat War, spectacular song
  6. Perhaps a little premature, but I select Domanick Davis, RB, Houston Texans
  7. Supreme (Image) vs. Superman (DC) Unless this Supreme character shits kryptonite, Superman wins easily Deadpool (Marvel) vs. Batman (DC) Its one of the 10 Comic Commandments, No one beats Batman, ever. The Punisher (Marvel) vs. Deathstroke (DC) Punisher based soley on the fact that the new Punisher game is gonna kick ass Green Lantern (DC) vs. Silver Surfer (Marvel) Now here's where I have a problem. Ethics dictate it shouldn't be GL Hal Jordan as he turned his back, and subsequently destroyed, the Green Lantern Corps and became the uber-powerful Paralax, who then expended all his energy to re-light the sun, killing himself in the process. That means its Kyle Rayner, and Kyle kicks ass, Surfer is bland and underdeveloped and used to be Galactus' bitch so, I pick GL Static (Milestone) vs. Electro (Marvel) Yeah cause we couldn't have fit Wolverine or Lobo in this tourney Wonder Woman (DC) vs. Phoenix (Marvel) One of them uber-powerful marvel characters Spider-Man (Marvel) vs. Invincible (Image) Well, he won't live up to that name when throwin down with Spidey Venom (Marvel) vs. Bane (DC) Bane, when written correctly, is one of the greatest villians of all time. He's super intelligent, super strong and absolutely merciless. Thus he'd be able to physically handle Venom to begin with and would soon find the symbiote weaknesses. Aqua Man (DC) vs. Namor The Sub-Mariner (Marvel) Again, because we couldn't fit Wolverine, Lobo, Cyclops, Martian Manhunter or many other better heroes in here I'll say Namor via AQUALAD HEEL TURN...ITS TEMPEST NOW MOTHERFUCKER!
  8. Hmm...I select........ Torry Holt, WR, St. Louis Rams
  9. Clawson selects Donnovan McNabb, QB, Iggles
  10. Ok so I might be a tad impatient, but every PM I've sent to EBG has told him to send me picks if he was unavailable. I've gotten maybe one response to these various PMs and of course none of them had any picks. I'm just tired of this draft being held up when someone else could be in his spot, moving the draft along. So thats exactly what will happen. I've kicked EBG out of the leauge cause I'm a big asshole or something, though it should be known 3 leauge members support my decision. Please welcome new leauge member and inheritor of LaDanian Tomlinson... jonnycomelately Yeah I know none of you know who he is, but I do and you can trust him not to hold up the draft. Plus I'm sure he'll add quite a bit to the Sports Bar. So, he'll be inheriting EBG's drafting position, which means its currently his pick. Then its Clawson, who actually gave me some picks.
  11. You do know the curse doesn't always take effect in the first game right? In fact in some cases, it doesn't injury the player at all. Ray could just have a terrible season Personally I hope his murder case gets opened back up
  12. Thuganomic selects Jamal Lewis, RB, Baltimore Ravens
  13. And Randy selects Shaun Alexander and as Round 2 begins in reverse order, Randy also selects Deuce McAllister And in doing that becomes my pick to win this leauge as he's was able to snag TWO 1000+ yard backs at one time Thug is up again Round 1 Recap: Priest Holmes Michael Vick Peyton Manning Ahman Green Steve McNair LaDanian Tomlinson Clinton Portis Edgerrin James Randy Moss Shaun Alexander
  14. Dude...Jake didn't have those numbers last year and didn't throw up stats like that in Arizona every year either. He's a good quarterback when he's A: Protected and B: Has more than one recieving option like he does in Denver.

    X Games X

The Gigantic Ramp is for Skateboard Big Air, thats on sunday. Skate Best Trick takes place on the vert ramp and its happening tonight. Today we have Aggressive Inline Vert, Men's and Women's Wakeboarding, Surfing, Bike Stunt Park, Skateboard Best Trick and the MotoX Freestyle Prelims, which I hope they are doing in the LA Colliseum. ILoveNicole, you're behind a year. Tony was trying the 360 Varial McTwist in 2002 and hit it after time expired. Last year they had the really big, long vert ramp and Jake Brown was trying to hit a 900, then Tony went in and did one as time expired. Last Night: MotoX Step Up was a really good competition, Jeremy McGrath won in his first X Games appearence. The height went to 33.6 feet and his competition, Matt Buyten did half the event with a seperated shoulder. Sadly Mirra won Bike Stunt Vert, I really hate the ramp this year and Kevin Robinson almost hit a Double Flair
  16. Yeah, he's not a terrible pick, but he's also a pick that would have been around later. Although it could be argued that he wouldn't have made it out of the first round. Time for EBG's pick unless someone is terribly against me asigning him the highest rated player available...is so say something If not, EBG gets LaDanian Tomlinson, RB, San Diego Chargers
  17. let go of the thumbstick, or arrow buttons, depending on which you use, when you're inside the 10
  18. Its just a coincidence till it happens to the next edition's coverboy, so yes, its too early.
  19. They've got Aaron Beasley in their secondary too and he can still play. You have to wonder why a guy so apparently superstitious let himself be the Madden coverboy last year
  20. Strained hamstring, nothing major. Thank you Syco for providing an example of a post that DOES add something to the thread Well, Blue Guy said he'd be out of town for the weekend, but he didn't send me a player list when I asked for it. So I'll wait a bit more, before I'm forced to add the best available player to his team

The 360 is an actual 360, but for the past year they've been showing Brian Deegan's corked backflip and calling it a 360. Nate Adams and Travis Pastrana do much cleaner, true 360s. They start by doing a whip and instead of straightening the bike out, they fully commit to a turn and bring it back around. In the picture in my first post, Travis is finishing off the final turn of the 360. The Giant Ramp is for Skateboard Big Air, Danny Way's created event which mimmicks Snowboard Big Air, long hill, jump at the bottom, do your best trick. In skateboardings case, its a huge ramp and then a big gap. I'll see if I can find a picture, its on Sunday at 4. Skate Best Trick is done of the vert ramp, Tony Hawk won it last year with a 900
  22. Who's watching this year? If you aren't, last night you missed the skateboard vert finals and MotoX Best Trick(formerly known as MotoX Big Air) My thoughts... The Vert competition was sad this year. Everyone was falling during their runs and when Shaun White had a near perfect run, it didn't get scored because the judges weren't ready. Bucky Lasek won again this year, even though commentator Tony Hawk thought his 95.00 score was higher than it should have been. I hate the ramp this year. The giant ramp at X Games IX and Global X was much better and the bowl on the one side of this year's ramp seems to throw everyone off. At least we still have Skateboard best trick to look forward too, and hopefully Sandro Dias will throw down a 900. The real event of the night though, was MotoX Best Trick. Just a little history.. IN 1999 the first MotoX freestyle competition was held at X Games, won by Travis Pastrana, of course In 2002 the first backflip was landed in competition In 2003 the first backflip variation was landed, along with the first 360 In 2004, everyone competing in MotoX Best Trick was capable of doing at least a backflip variation and 3 guys could do 360's, though Brian Deegan's is debatable. This sport has exploded since riders started using foam pits to practice new tricks and thats why its one of the most exciting to watch. We saw Nac-Nac to Heelclicker Backflips, Seatgrab Backflips, 360s and in Travis Patrana's case, a one handed 360 But suprisingly the trick that won the competition didn't involve the bike spinning in any direction....just the rider. Chuck Carothers landed one of the most insane tricks I've seen in Freestyle MotoX. A Body Varial. Thats a seatgrap, then he lets go, turns his body 360 degrees, then grabs on and gets back on the bike. Go find a video of it, its a sight to see. There he is in the middle of the trick. Carothers won gold, Nate Adams won silver and suprisingly Travis Pastrana won Bronze. Pastrana has the only trick that could possbily beat the Body Varial, but its something he's saving for the Freestyle competition. Its a trick where the worst case scenario in a crash could be death, or at least a broken neck/spine and the best case scenario during a crash is probably still a major injury of some kind. You have to wonder why Pastrana, who is undefeated in Freestyle competitions, would want to throw down a trick so dangerous. To quote Pastrana "Because how cool would it be if you landed it?" The trick? The Double Backflip. X Games X continues tonight at 9 on ESPN with MotoX Step Up(featuring Jeremy McGrath) Skateboard Street and BMX Vert, where hopefully we'lll see Jamie Bestwick kick Dave Mirra's ass again.
