  1. Aye, Lilley signed for QoS yesterday I think it was. After a few days i've been thinking about the season and what to expect. I honestly, don't expect anything from Mowbray and can see him being let go at the end of the season, Hibs will fail miserably with Bingo in charge. Rangers will probably walk the league though, I may hate them but you can't fault Smith can work the SPL with ease, although they have 2 visits at Tynecastle guaranteed so we'll see. I would like to think we could push the Old Firm like we did in 2005/06 as we have the right man in charge for the start of the season. I reckon if we can get a good 20 goal a season striker on the books (or use David Templeton more >_>) then we could definitely push Celtic for 2nd, although if Rangers have a bad season... Probably getting too carried away now.
  2. You could always get an end of season update, that's what i've been using on my latest game. I should really go back to that and finish the 3rd season with Newcastle as i've got them playing well but I just can't be bothered going on FM and waiting ages for each game.
  3. Sounds like a plan. Zaliukas signed a contract extension to...either this January or next January, very glad he's staying, he's a bit mental (as evidenced by him headlocking Carl Finnegan of Falkirk to the ground then punching him 3 times in the Cup and his other red cards) but he's a great defender when his head is screwed on. Driver should play unless he falls injured at the U21s Tournament, he's a tad inconsistent but at times our most key player going forward. Some key players to watch out for as a wee guide; Ruben Palazuelos, Lee Wallace (who I believe is the best British LB playing, even if he is a bit of a ned), Eggert Jonsson who can pretty much play everywhere on the park and Ian Black who has joined from Inverness. Although if Christian Nade is still here then congratulations on your win. And if you ever decide to do that, get tickets for the area of Section G or N if you want atmosphere, G has a better view and N is full of wee neds who think they are Rangers fans. Unless anything ever changes, hope not because I sit in G and I only got seats there because of the atmosphere.
  4. Aye, Dalry Road is the road, out Haymarket, go straight, turn right then past the Haymarket pub then just follow the road straight down towards Tynecastle. You'll notice the stadium, since it's a friendly and aslong as you don't say anything stupid that would cause anything you could just walk past the Main Stand and you'll see the entrance to the Roseburn up that way, I'll need to check when I'm next up if that is correct though, I sit in the Wheatfield (opposite the main) so I don't deal with the Roseburn Aye, nearer the time, when you have a ticket confirmed and everything i'll give you the number and so on, i'm not an expert on pubs in the area (only turned 18 on the 10th of this month) so i'm still learning all the areas. Should be a laugh though, game will probaly be crap mind. But you'll atleast get to see Csaba Laszlo dance around on the touchline
  5. If your train doesn't arrive until 2:15 it's better to do it after the match. Haymarket to Tynecastle is a 10-15 minute walk, depends on how fast you walk, you can get the bus but there's no point in that due to the roadworks and they might be packed. If need be I could meet you up at the Station and show you where to go as the Roseburn stand is at the back Alternatively, just follow the big crowd, that will be taking the route, although you'd have to tail off so you don't end up going into the home end. But yeah, 10-15 minutes give or take from Haymarket to Tynie.
  6. If you do decide to make the trip up, i'd be up for a drink somewhere, The Diggers is probably the best bet as it appears to be the sort of neutral venue, plus it's only a friendly and there's no dispute that i know of between the fans. Should be a laugh though, £12 for me to get in, hopefully Craig Gordon plays as I imagine that's the only reason most folk will go, well that and to make sure the new smartcard system works, if you notice there's hardly anybody there after 10 minutes you know they screwed up Think Sunderland are getting the whole Roseburn stand aswell, not sure why as that's only the case for Hibs, Celtic and Rangers, unless Sunderland are going to bring about 3000 fans
  7. It's looking up for Hearts now though! Unless Romanov decides to go crazy and sack Csaba, but that's (hopefully) not going to happen. You going up to Tynecastle for the Hearts/Sunderland friendly in August?
  8. Woops, so we do. I hate playing Kilmarnock at home, they always seem to play really well. We'll thrash Rangers at Tynie though, not a bad first game to have your first season ticket for ^_^ Well unless we lose.
  9. Saturday August 15, 2009 Aberdeen V Celtic Dundee United V Hearts Hibernian V St Mirren Kilmarnock V Hamilton Accies Rangers V Falkirk St Johnstone V Motherwell First weeks fixtures. Away which i'm not chuffed about add to our start being: Dundee Utd A Rangers H St.Johnstone A Celtic A But there's a new Years Derby at Easter Road on i'll be attending, all on the march to SPL glory (Y)
  10. With Mowbray being appointed as Celtic manager just now, that's us picking up 12 points from our 4 meetings with Celtic so: 1st - Rangers 2nd - Hearts 3rd - Celtic 4th - Aberdeen 5th - Dundee Utd 6th - Motherwell 7th - Hamilton Accies 8th - St.Johnstone 9th - Kilmarnock 10th - Hibernian 11th - Falkirk 12th - St.Mirren Bring on next season, my Season Ticket is in the mail, Csaba has turned down 4 job offers apparently. I would say we'll win the league but that's probably taking it a bit far, but I see no reason why we can't pip Celtic or Rangers to 2nd. Well, that depends if we buy a striker who score goals, I can't bare another season of Christian Nade
  11. England U21s just beat Azerbaijan U21s 7-0. Well it's in the 91st minute.
  12. The England U21s are on Setanta now playing the Azerbaijan U21s. No Andy Driver in the team, not even on the bench Probably being rested as he was carrying an injury. And Mancienne just scored in 50 seconds.
  13. I believe Milner is still with the Senior team but will go back to the U21s after the Andorra game.
  14. That doesn't happen with Kaunas, most of their players do well then are shipped to us on loan for about 4 seasons for free. Shame most are rubbish though. Hopefully it's good though, I have no connections but since a Hearts player is in the England team I might aswell wish England a bit of success, although seeing as Belarus are apparently there I feel the need to cheer them on.
  15. All I know about the tournament is the England team, I'll watch it though if I can find streams since I don't have Sky. I think James Milner was called up to the Senior team which makes Andrew Drivers chances of getting his first U21 Cap a real possibility. Hopefully anyway, he's a great player and he's a Hearts player so hopefully he can give a good impression and not get injured for next season. Plus playing well will also raise his value and stop Rangers sniffing about him. I'll go in as a neutral, hopefully a few games are good.
  16. The U15s would probably beat our lot We beat you before at Hampden! Of course we then lost the return leg 6-0 but let us not remember that.
  17. Iceland losing and Norway and Macedonia drawing with each other is perfect. Beat Macedonia at home, beat Norway away and then do the usual "beat the big teams" against Holland at Hampden. We can still make the Playoffs Then lose in them of course but it'd be nice.
  18. Yeah St.Mirren, Celtic, Hibs and St.Johnstone are fine. Killie are doomed, Motherwell might be at risk. Hearts will be fine without the Setanta deal, we were only on 8 times this season, 4 Derbies, 2 home games against each of the OF, so I believe we got paid the least out of the Setanta deal. Besides, i'd imagine someone will step in and buy the deal, supposedly ESPN are interested in buying it, for some reason. I have a Season Ticket and we're never on telly so it wont be missed by me.
  19. Downloaded an update that had Newcastle in the Championship and all the other stuff after the end of the season. So I of course took over Newcastle to get them back up, just finished my 1st season in charge. Finished 3rd on GD, 6 goals behind West Brom who went up with Boro (who stormed the league) so I had to do the playoffs. Beat Derby 5-0 on aggregate then thrashed Bristol City 3-0 in the final to regain promotion. Only downside is we were taken over and the new Chairman is useless, we're £6m in debt even though I've only made a few signings very early in the season. But it's on to the Premiership and hopefully the expectations aren't too high from the board so I can adjust with what seems like will be a minimal budget.
  20. Same Hearts to finish 2nd if McGhee takes the job. If he does then here is a pre-congratulations to Rangers on the SPL again and a wee note on us finishing 2nd and getting Champions League football again ^_^
  21. Hearts contributing to Celtic not winning the league. Fat Tango Racist quitting Aberdeen. Craig Levein failing to get into Europe again. Glorious day, well aside from Rangers winning the league "It's like a pre-season friendly" Bring on next season.
  22. One of the best away trips in the SPL is gone next season And St.Mirren stayed up. (N) Just have to ruin Celtics title ambitions tomorrow to make up for the weekend.
  23. Absolutely comical game between Rangers and Aberdeen with the most hilarious sending off this season (Except when Lee Miller did the same thing to Zaliukas). 0-0 so far aswell, as it stands Europe is confirmed for Hearts. And that's the Europa League confirmed for the Jambos.
  24. A great point up in Aberdeen tonight for Hearts. And with Celtic winning it means Hearts are 2 clear of Dundee Utd with the 2 teams meeting at Tynecastle. although if Rangers beat Aberdeen on Saturday then Hearts will be guaranteed Europe as they can finish no lower than 4th ^_^ Except Zaliukas misses out after his 4th red card of the season, his 2nd at Pittodrie this season and Hearts overall 11th red card
  25. This result is only great if Celtic manage to rebound and utterly thrash Dundee Utd. I don't care who wins the league, be funny to see Celtic not win and Strachans MoTY award to essentially have been given for winning the CIS Cup. St.Mirren lost today aswell, just need Falkirk to win a game so St.Mirren can go down to the first division
