  1. I needed the laugh. Thanks.
  2. Mmm...he stays alive for another game. EDIT: Roddick's done.
  3. Nash should force a trade, to at least have a chance at not being that one MVP who never made it to the Finals.
  4. I'll be rooting for Federer to win it this year on the men's side. But I'm not optimistic about his chances if he's facing Nadal in the final.
  5. I doubt it. Doing that means his dream of being that billion-dollar global brand evaporates...though he's been doing a good enough job mucking up his own marketability anyway.
  6. I'm curious to see what James' next commercial's gonna be like to spin this mess. I'm also curious to see if it's going to have any effect on him persuading other players to sign up to his talent agency.
  7. There may not be enough room at Red Bull for Hamilton, should the team continue winning with Vettel.
  8. The folks at the Heat forum I'm lurking at are giving the Mavs their due, and props to them for that. But to say the Heat had a great season is...a bit much
  9. I'm still bummed that Schumacher couldn't make the podium, but the man showed he still has it. Hopefully this isn't a one-off and he can continue making strong finishes.
  10. Holy fuck. I thought the referees would have helped make Game 7 happen. And I so completely missed catching this live Kudos to whoever shooped this Dwight's gonna take his talents to Los Angeles EDIT: Unrelated, but Dallas winning it all for me makes it up after seeing Federer lose to Nadal yet again. Big props to Nowitzki, Kidd, Terry, et al for getting the job done. Heck, even Carlisle's been vindicated as a coach.
  11. Holy shit Button stole that! Damn, if Schumacher could have just held off Button and Webber for a bit longer. And a photo finish for Massa!
  12. Eh, Bosh probably knew what he was getting into when he joined NWO South Beach. Not saying he doesn't deserve the flak he's getting, though.
  13. Bah, Mosley probably would have opted to have the Bahrain race rescheduled, if he was still FIA President.
  14. I'd say money, more than anything.
  15. I dunno, man. Reports of Nadal wearing out his legs have been posted since '08? '09? The man seems to have managed to reasonably preserve his legs enough to be practically a guaranteed French Open Champ for the next few years, just as Federer was nigh-untouchable at Wimbledon for the past several years. I think Nadal's got a reasonable claim for surpassing Federer as being the greatest of his generation (career Grand Slam + Olympic gold medal + continually owning Federer, all before he turned 25). I don't begrudge the guy for that, but I would have liked to see Federer have a few more years being the undisputed greatest of all time. That's the biggest beef I have; Federer's position as the Greatest of All Time probably already eclipsed by Nadal, and this is before Federer himself was past his prime.
  16. Down 4-1 in the fourth set, and facing break point against Nadal :| Sigh, is it mostly psychological for cases like this? I'm assuming Federer has spent some time watching tape of Nadal at work. EDIT: Ah fuck, now 5-1 for Nadal in the fourth, and Rafa's serving for the title :| EDIT2: And triple Championship point already. EDIT3: Well played, Nadal. Well played.
  17. Damn, Federer muffed that open shot. Triple break point against Federer :|
  18. Agreed. I thought Federer's best chance to at least have a psychological advantage was when he was up 5-2 in the first. But now... I was hoping that Federer would, for once, manage to defeat Nadal at the French Open.
  19. Dolan probably doesn't even need to give Thomas any official title in the Knicks organization.
  20. Nadal fought back from 5-2 down in the first set. And now he's 6-2 in the tiebreak for the second set. The bugger's gonna add another French Open to his trophy case :|
  21. And now for something completely different, Donnie Walsh leaving the Knicks has given their fanbase a collective aneurysm.
  22. Schiavone's fought back to a tiebreak, though. I hope Li doesn't get the butterflies. Edit: SHE DID IT!
  23. Hoping Li Na wins it in the final.
