  1. I'd say Bill Russell is still the greatest. Heck, he even won championships as a player-coach, something that would likely never happen again in the NBA.
  2. One thing that could help Mike Brown out in Lakerland is both he and Kobe got incentive to beat the Heat. They could use that as a start to get on the same page, and maybe build something fruitful. EDIT: Aaaaaand we now officially have Mavs vs Heat II.
  3. And Vettel wins it! But superb overtaking by Alonso right at the start of the race to put himself in front (at least for the first part of the race).
  4. That was when they had Jerry West giving his old team a hand, though I'd like to see the Mavs finally win a championship. If only to see the look on David Stern's face when he gives the trophy to Mark Cuban.
  5. If those two would actually agree on the specifics for a fight, Mayweather would just find a way around the stipulations, if it meant he'll be going into the bout with an advantage. Like when he paid a $600,000 fine for failing to meet weight requirements in his fight with Marquez. That was just an investment that helped Mayweather win that match.
  6. The Celtics should retire Rondo's number for playing with just one arm, if nothing else.
  7. Pacquiao doesn't need to fight Mayweather at this point.
  8. Yeah, but that was kinda expected once they traded for Melo and Chauncey. I'm not quite willing to write off the Knicks till after game three. And even then, D'Antoni's one of the few who managed to coach his team back from 1-3 down to win the series.* *If it happens, it'll effectively guarantee his stays as coach next season.
  9. It's not exactly unusual for the home team to win the first two games. The Knicks could surprise us in game three. We just need to see if it'll be a good or bad surprise.
  10. That's assuming Royce stuck with the same training and skillset.
  11. And then my TV conks out the day of the Shanghai GP. Augh.
  12. Or, they're lulling the Lakers into a false sense of security.
  13. I don't agree with firing cast members simply to control costs, but I don't think it's unreasonable to cut the running time by 3 minutes to allow for more advertising.
  14. If the Knicks go 0-8, Charlotte would still have to win 6 of 9 to overtake them. I know the sky is falling and everything, but the Knicks are in. If the Knicks actually drop out of the playoffs, we can credit it to the impending Mayan apocalypse. Never mind if no actual Mayans are living anywhere in the Tri-state area.
  15. But those are just regular season games! X_X And LOL at the Knicks fans on other forums already asking that Stoudemire and Anthony be traded. Hitting the panic button already. EDIT: The Knicks get a much-needed win over the Magic to break the slide. But does this mean they're finally becoming coherent as a team? Or they gonna slide further down the rankings when they take on New Jersey and Cleveland next?
  16. I think if the Knicks manage to do well in the playoffs (at least be competitive, if not actually last more than round one), then D'Antoni gets to stay on for next season. THEN he gets future endeavored when the Knicks go 5-15. On another note, I'm really hoping the Spurs stay healthy.
  17. Damn, both Schumacher and Rosberg DNF. But Petrov's gonna score a podium!
  18. It's a popular sentiment, though, even among Knicks fans. Granted, they were based on unrealistic expectations, but just after beating Miami people were looking at the Knicks to at least last longer than the first round.
  19. On the bright side, maybe Dolan will change his mind and not raise ticket prices. A more positive look at the Knickerbockers' situation: http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nba/columns/story?columnist=sheridan_chris&id=6252822
  20. The International Cycling Union is appealing to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to have Contador banned for doping. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/other_sports/cycling/9434749.stm
  21. I'd have to agree on Thibodeau as Coach of the Year, and Griffin for Rookie of the Year.
  22. Wojnarowski is certainly fingering Anthony for the Knicks' slide: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=Akg1ofh91ov4xzl7nDCx_aG8vLYF?slug=aw-wojnarowski_carmelo_anthony_wilts_under_burden_of_carrying_knicks_032111
