  1. I love that Yu Darvish came out after the long rain delay and CJ Wilson stayed in the dugout. He got one out and allowed four earned runs in his return to the BPiA. Picked up right where he left off in the World Series.
  2. He's so inconsistent, he's actually consistent.
  3. All five were drafted by the Rangers. Or at least spent a portion with the Rangers, because I don't think we actually drafted Gonzalez.
  4. When Encarnacion starts at first base, does anyone notice a common thread of AL East first basemen? .
  5. Except for the fact that Albert Pujols (32 going on 40) just got a ten year contract for like $240M, Prince Fielder just got seven and $214M (a chubby DH at the end of the deal) and Jayson Werth (an average power hitter) got a rediculous contract and is just as injury prone as Hamilton. Someone will step up with a HUGE deal for Hamilton, and why wouldn't it be the Dodgers, with new owners looking to make a splash in their first offseason?
  6. Not to mention they'll probably be in the same outfield next year.
  7. If I heard correctly, there have been just as many four home run games as perfect games.
  8. What if Zimermann tried to hit Hamels in the back, but because Hamels was squaring around to bunt, got nailed in the face. Payback. .
  9. I'm playing in an ESPN fantasy league and did get the innings, Ks, and win. I needed it, too, I'm not getting much from my pitching staff.
  10. Just got this: ESPN MLB - Phillies P Cole Hamels on HBP of Nationals rookie OF Bryce Harper: "I was trying to hit him" Any thoughts? Guess Harper got them back by stealing home, but I've never understood the point of intentionally hitting a guy. You know one of your guys are gonna get pegged, and in this case, it was Hamels himself.
  11. Bryce Harper just stole home. He's gonna be a complete stud.
  12. If I had to compare 2010's players to 2000's players, I would start with Carmelo and Tracy McGrady. Is there a more obvious pair? Knicks finally win a playoff game. Anyone think Jeremy Lin suits up for game five?
  13. What about that guy they gave a huge contract to from Tampa? I thought he was the closer-in-waiting?
  14. I have as many home runs as Pujols. .
  15. Josh Smith has also now been hit with the injury bug with a sprained left knee. These playoffs are getting rediculous and I'm kinda glad the Mavericks won't be representatives of it years from now.
  16. Amare Stoudemire hurt his hand...punching the glass part of a fire extinguisher casing. I think the Nets new logo is supposed to resemble the subway system signs.
  17. Caron Butler in a suit come playoff time should strike fear in any team with a 20 point lead.
  18. I didn't notice it twisting or anything, but he tweaked it somehow and had to be helped off the floor. I don't understand how Rose gets hurt so often when he wears more gear than an army soldier.
  19. Aaand that's why I didn't have the Bulls winning much of anything.
  20. The Bryce Harper era starts tomorrow in Washington.
  21. They have seven kids of their own. I'd rather give a ball to my kids instead of one I've never met, too. Just sucks for them cause the TVs caught them doing so.
  22. Cowboys are expected to move back into the second round, perhaps using Mike Jenkins as a trade chip. Maybe pick an offensive lineman.
  23. I'm not pumped at all for these Finals as of right now. I'd love for anyone to win besides the Spurs or Heat. I can't see the Bulls winning the East with the way they are constructed. Rose will be shut down again by LeBron. I almost picked the Celtics to beat the Bulls, but I think the team defense of the Bulls will st down the old Celts. Biggest upset is Dallas v OKC, and that's probably just because I'm a huge homer. Here's a fun simulator to run: http://espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/predictions. So far I've run about twenty sims and the Heat haven't won once. What would the worst marketing match up for the Finals be? Clearly the NBA would love for the Lakers and Heat to meet in the Finals. Two huge markets led by two of the game's biggest stars. But what if it was (1) San Antonio Spurs v (3) Indiana Pacers. That's not very far-fetched and would give the NBA no big stars to market and Duncan would threaten to pull even with Kobe as far as number of rings goes.
