  1. Has anyone read the Rise of the Governor book? I knocked it out within a couple days of starting it. About to start the new Road to Woodbury book.
  2. That was such a powerful 10 minutes when Claire was interrogating Brody. Everytime the episode ends, I'm frustrated cause it just needs to keep going.
  3. Dear NCAA, (1) Alabama (4) Notre Dame (2) Kansas State (3) Oregon Make it happen. Sincerely, Impatient sports fan.
  4. Considering the Rangers just finished paying A-Rod nearly $25M two years ago, the Yankees won't be hurt too bad by deferring his contract throughout the next twenty years.
  5. Anyone play MLB PrePlay? It's a pretty cool idea, but the servers are really overwhelmed during this Nats-Cards game.
  6. Not sure if Trout could ever have the power numbers to win a triple crown, but I could see him leading the league in average, homeruns, RBIs, steals and runs scored at some point in his career.
  7. That game may have been harder to watch than game seven of the World Series. Just terrible.
  8. Just watched the season premiere. Spoiler discussion below.
  9. Season one had me hooked. The episodes are a little longer than other shows since it's on Showtime with no commercial breaks. I ended up watching all twelve episodes from season one in three days. Buy episode one on iTunes or something and see if it piques your interest.
  10. Just wondering how many here have watched this show? Honestly, I hadn't even heard of it until it won an Emmy. I bought season one and really enjoyed it. Season two started tonight, but I don't have Showtime, so I guess I'll end up waiting for the season to come out on DVD.
  11. As much as I hate them, I wouldn't count the Spurs out. If the Lakers somehow knock the Thunder out before and then matchup with the Spurs in the WCF, the Spurs could take the Lakers. Thunder would still KO the Spurs, no doubt.
  12. They're making Josh Hamilton's life into a movie. If you haven't read his book...you should.
  13. Anyone else think Tony Parker suing that New York club for $20M is funny? If you don't want your eye getting effed up, stay out of bar fights. Dummy.
  14. I don't see why they can't retire numbers, but still allow players to wear their number. For example, the Cowboys have retired the #88 twice, for Drew Pearson and Michael Irvin and now Dez Bryant is wearing it.
  15. This is gonna sound dumb, but does Dickey still throw the knuckleball? Two walks with a pitch that not even the pitcher knows where it'll end up is DANG impressive. Of course I haven't watched any of his games in awhile so I'm not sure if he stil relies on that pitch.
  16. Okay, so playing Pokemon Diamond and I started with Chimchar and can't beat the first gym. I traded for the Abra, but he already won't listen to me and doesn't have the defense to stay around long in the gym battle. Who should I go catch to beat this first guy? I can't find anyone who would counter his Cranidos.
  17. Dickey kinda reminds me of Ubaldo Jimenez a couple years ago when he had an incredible first half, but then completely bombed the second half. Surely Dickey will regress to his averages sooner than later, right? Also, what are the chances we see two pitchers that have thrown a perfect games and/or no hitter this year square off in the All Star Game?
  18. The thing about the Thunder's "big three" is that it doesn't fit the prototypical mold most other teams use. They have an elite SF/SG/PG and fill in the big man spots with quality role players. If the Thunder can score big in an upcoming draft or free agent sign and trade (I don't think they have much cap space to play with) and get someone with excellent low post footwork that can draw doubles in the post, watch out.
  19. If anything, Seattle should be happy the Thunder are making noise right now. Pretty much any competent NBA fan is feeling bad for Seattle, and it could expedite the process of bringing back a team to the area. In other news, if I was a Thunder fan, I would scream at Westbrook to get rid of the ball everytime he passed the mid-court line. He has the uncanny ability to completely ignore everyone else on the floor and work to get off the same contested shot.
  20. Now that the series is over, I can admit to my reverse jinxing the hated Spurs. WINNING.
  21. What a come back by the Thunder to make it a game again!
  22. I see the Spurs winning the next two still.
