I'll be very upset if they don't make Rag and Bone into a video.
-
Were they selling tickets in the UK like they did in Aus? $100 was a ripoff for a pretty ordinary line-up, I think I'll stick to watching it on the telly.
-
I forgot about the Maximo Park album actually. Saw them a few months before it came out in this place in Newcastle called the Cluny where they pre-viewed it, it impressed me then and I still really like it.

Pfft, I'll take 80,000 or so singing Fear Of The Dark any day.
I don't think it would matter what song it was when you had that many people singing in unison.

Hearing 50,000+ sing the words to When The Sun Goes Down sounds pretty cool, and would of been better live in person.

Queens Of The Stone Age | Gnarls Barkley
Arctic Monkeys | Black Star
Armin van Buuren | DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist | Gogol Bordello
The Long Blondes | Something For Kate | Rilo Kiley | Sway DeSafo
Keeping it to such a short list is hard, especially when you want to keep it realistic.

Have you had any 'schrooms? I hear that's big at Bonnaroo..

WE THE BEST!
WHO? WE
Almost as annoying at DJ Clue, and I had to laugh when more then half his latest album was done by other producers, it was just a legal version of a mixtape, and a bad one at that.

They weren't listed on the bands you plan on seeing, but I recommend you check out Girl Talk. It's nothing extravagant, but it's pretty interesting. If you don't know what kind of music Girl Talk is, it's mashups that this guy did using his laptop, which he has on stage and he like, dances around and stuff

QOTSA and RATM.. anyone going to this is in for a killer show.

The rest are worse than the actual logo ¬_¬

I'd play Mark Ronson's Annie Mac Minimix twice.
-
Too much talking, not enough action - although I think this will pick up as we get to a smaller group in the next few weeks.
-
What the hell was that? I mean if it were a season finale it would have been fine. A step down from the first two, but fine. But to end a series?
-
Has anyone else bought stock in potatoes?
-
LOL The movie is gonna be called John Rambo?

I'm going to see Maximo Park in August, and will probably see The Long Blondes too. No doubt if Arctic Monkeys play sideshows in Melbourne I'll be buying tickets. Apart from that not much else, really just waiting for line-up announcements for Coachella '08..

First off, mass confusion about "Veronica Mars". Dawn Ostroff was apparently dodging the issue at the post presentation press conference. She said that they were in discussions with Rob Thomas and Kristen Bell for something, not necessarily VM or non-VM related. The deadline for that being June 15. However, Rob Thomas said she's full of shit, that the writers were signing deals elsewhere, the offices were closing and Kristen Bell would be out of her contract in a few weeks.

The details on the new additions to NBC
Heroes: Origins will be six special episodes of the series, which will air during the show's hiatus. This means the total episode count for the season will be 30!The Bionic Woman is an updating of the classic ABC show from the 70s. It stars British actress Michelle Ryan.
Chuck is about a computer geek who becomes a spy (somehow). It's produced by Josh Schwartz, who did The O.C., and director McG.
Journeyman sounds a lot like a 21st century version of Quantum Leap. It stars Kevin McKidd from Rome and is produced by some of the people behind The West Wing.
The IT Crowd is a new comedy that focuses on the lives of tech people. Sounds like a nerdier Office.
Life is a drama about a detective who spends years in jail for a crime he didn't commit and is given a second chance. It stars Damian Lewis from Band of Brothers.
Lipstick Jungle is from Candace Bushnell, who did Sex and the City, and sounds similar. It stars Brooke Shields and Kim Raver, from The Nine.
The Singing Bee is another damn singing competition.
World Moves is a hip-hop competition, and is produced by American Idol's Randy Jackson.

Why the France hatred? It's a song of genius. Catchy, tongue-in-cheek and excellent executed...And the group has other excellent songs as well... :pinch:

I quite enjoyed the Make Poverty History concerts given that it was free, but there is no way I'm flying to Sydney and spending $99 to see the same old artists again. I really dug Live8 but I'm growing tired of the mass-scale charity concert, too many in quick succession.

GOLOL BORDELLO
Go get a copy of Gypsy Punks Underdog World Strike and turn it up really loud. Funky as hell.
I am also digging El-P's I'll Sleep When You're Dead.

I saw this a few days ago... so funny. Isn't that girl Will Ferell's daughter?
