David Letterman - I just don't get it. I've never gotten it. I never will get it. Funny back in his NBC days (from what I saw), but he has just been consistently downhill since jumping to CBS. I don't want to stab myself in the eyes when he's on television like the above mentioned, but he just doesn't do it for me in the slightest.

Does anyone know when the next new episode is? Don't want to miss a week or two thinking it's not back yet.

Obtain a copy of The Manual by Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty and you should be all set.

You can use MySQL, you could use a flat text database too. Both are equally difficult to setup imo.

I don't really know much about the backstage machinations of Veronica Mars, but I'm guessing the lack of Mac is for budgetary reasons.

I'm really hooked on Tegan and Sara - Monday Monday Monday at the moment.

Cool story. Jason Alexander was in town for a show at the local casino and was playing some 1/2, someone told him "serenity now" after he lost a pot, poor guy.

Ads where the voice over artist is yelling at you to buy a book/dvd/other good for $1 at some tin shed as the sale is only this weekend.

Whats the big deal, shes learning to poledance for a role, shes hurt herself doing it and she says she respects the people who can do it? I don't get it, so what?

My mate launched his Wiimote straight into his nice looking plasma.
Pics and a little article about it: http://lamerslame.net/2006/12/19/wrist-str...g-wrist-straps/

I've been listening to Virgin Radio Xtreme a fair bit lately at work since it doesn't count against our bandwidth quota and have heard this song a number of times. How does this even pass as music? It's absolute garbage and the fact that it gets airplay amazes me. Anyone else feel this way?

The episode was easily on par with any decent episode of Sports Night. They pushed the story along quite nicely while we found out more about character backgrounds.
Forgot to add, you have to wonder if they wrote Jordan's pregency into the show or if it was originally planned. Regardless, whatever happens now is going to be good.

I wasn't going to start a new topic for this, but I thought it was amusing. The Onion's side-by-side comparison of the PS3 vs. Wii

I loved this episode, but what was up with Cox's hair. Maybe its just me, but in the begging it was all weird and curly then it was normal later in the episode.

While I'm here and thinking of it, poor Ronnie. This is what, the 4th or 5th attempted rape already?
Soon she's going to get a world record. That and the date rape drug will soon be like getting drunk, an everyday occurrance.

So.. who didn't see that ending coming from a mile away?

Sounds a lot like the History Channel special Breaking Vegas. From memory they are making it into a movie which is called Bringing Down The House, although IMDB doesn't seem to bring up any info on it.

Harriet is probably one of the best character's on the show, IMO.
What makes her one of the best character's on the show?

Emo Logan's not cool.

Sports Night doesn't even compare to Studio 60, it ran rings around it IMO. Not that Studio 60 is bad, but the two shows just don't compare.

One of my favourite videos, along with Air - All I Need and Uncle - Rabbit In Your Headlights.
The album version of the song is better tho.

Played Wii Sports: Tennis and Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam today at a Games Expo here in Melbourne. Maybe I'm just too used to the Xbox version of the Hawk series, but I found Downhill Jam near impossible to play. Very hard to keep your skater going in the right direction, let alone doing combos etc. The fact that you have to press the A button to keep skating forwards was a downside. Wii Sports: Tennis was good but not as easy as Wii Sports: Bowling, but perhaps that was a timing issue on my part. Huge lines for Zelda and Red Steel.

So, here's the story. Harriet was born and became a homophobe. You know the rest.
Great episode last night, the great thing about the show is that it keeps me wanting much more right after the episode ends.

Does the British chart count free downloads or just paid ones (iTunes, Napster etc)?
