  1. Was the place you went called Volskygge by any chance? More importantly, was the lich named, or was it just a lich?
  2. I'm just sad they patched it, because frankly that's a hilarious glitch.
  3. How'd you move the body? EDIT: A while back I killed two Alik'r warriors out in the middle of nowhere, then went to Whiterun and the guards attacked me. I think the game knows what you do no matter who sees it. Crimes need a witness for the guards to attack you. There was apparently a glitch that's since been fixed where chickens would report you to guards if they witnessed you killing someone or something.
  4. I killed one dragon in Morthal, and when I came back later the skeleton had teleported from the graveyard where I killed it to right in front of the guardhouse. While being half stuck in the awning out the front.
  5. Is getting into the Dark Brotherhood the same as in Oblivion? Do you have to murder someone again?
  6. Spoilered because I don't know if anyone else has run into this yet.
  7. Belethor's General Goods in Whiterun will buy your Necklaces and Rings (as well as pretty much everything else). The shops won't stock anything above your level (special enchanted weapons/apparel not withstanding). So if you want to buy better stuff, you'll have to level up. (I think Silver, Dwarven, Elven and Orcish items become available somewhere around level 10) I completely cleaned out Belethor's money. How long does it take him to get more gold in for me to sell him stuff? I've found that it's usually about a day before his gold replenishes. I still have yet to find much in way of a better merchant, but then I've only been to Morthal. I have passed through Solitude, and there's a merchant there I haven't visited yet, so they might be good for selling things.
  8. I quite liked that. I even had something similar happen again in Solitude, which amused me.
  9. OK that was pretty fucking cool. Just took on a dragon at the top of an abandoned tower up in the mountains, at night with snow falling around. Basically was forced to use my ranged magic spells to attack him for most of the fight, then he landed and I finished him with my maces. Felt like a boss battle, it was awesome. Incidentally, that's my fourth dragon.
  10. F changes perspective. Also I ran into the giant too, got my shit thoroughly wrecked, reloaded and just said "Fuck this" and left that area well alone for now. Also also I got ruined by a pair of trolls in a cave. I don't remember trolls being that hard in Oblivion.
  11. So I'm up to level 4 as a Nord with twin maces (going to play drums on people's heads this time), and I'm only just up to the second city where you have to talk to the Jarl guy. Cleared out a few caves along the way. My computer doesn't exactly love the game, since it will occasionally lock up for a few seconds while I'm out travelling, but it's nothing too bad. Pretty awesome game so far though.
  12. Pavement should be made out of TNT.
  13. Pre-ordered from Amazon. Hopefully I'll get it before Christmas but I suppose we'll see. Who else is in on this? I know GoGo's also pre-ordered already.
  14. I don't...quite have enough resources to do that. Also I have no idea what the Enterprise looks like beyond the basic shape on the outside. I've never watched Star Trek. What do I look like, Xzibit?
  15. I made something else new on my island home. Now I'm sorta stuck on what to build next. I've got, or can get, tons of building resources. I've got nearly 100 brick blocks, tons of cobblestone, and wood everywhere. I just don't know what to build! Ideas?
  16. Emphatically not. 67-5 lol. Hopefully Faingaa's OK, that was a pretty nasty knee to the head.
  17. Look what I made! I want to see Hamster's viking longhouse thing!
  18. Also Hamster's got the right idea about food: fish is the quickest and easiest way to get food once you get your hands on some string. What skin is that? DO WANT It's PureBDCraft by Sphax. Apsham posted about it earlier, I decided to download it and give it a try and basically fell in love with it. You can download it from here, but to use it you'll also need to get MCPatcher for the HD fix. It's reasonably straightforward, you download MCPatcher and run it, then install the texture pack like normal, but it's utterly fantastic when you get it going.
  19. I love this island seed. The caves underneath the island go on forever, and are absolutely chockers with resources. It's fantastic. I'm actually at the point where I had enough diamond to make armour. I've never had that much diamond in one game! This is what I've made so far: Also Hamster's got the right idea about food: fish is the quickest and easiest way to get food once you get your hands on some string.
  20. Wild grass is the tall grass you'll see around sitting on grass blocks. Breaking wild grass has a chance of dropping seeds, which you can plant in tilled soil to grow wheat to make bread. I don't know if wild grass spawns on its own after you break it, but if you need more you can spawn a whole bunch yourself with bonemeal on a grass block.
  21. ...you rebuilt your treehouse over lava? Even after it burned down the first time?
  22. So much this. Also possibly as a side effect of mountain ranges being enormous, I'm finding massive caverns more than usual. Came across one the other day that was fucking enormous. Also also ravines are awesome. I've made my home in one that I found right under a lake near my spawn.
  23. Food: - Pork - Bread - Mushroom Stew - Fish - Apple - Golden Apple - Chicken - Beef - Melon Breaking one melon block yields something like half a dozen melon pieces, and you can grow them like wheat. All of the meats can be eaten raw or cooked, but apparently eating raw chicken has a chance of poisoning you.
  24. So I was playing a Survival game earlier having fixed the furnace glitch (here's a link for how) and I have come to the conclusion that abandoned mineshafts are the worst thing ever. As if getting lost underground wasn't easy enough, now you have mineshafts that just keep going on. To say nothing of the small blue spiders that have spawners everywhere to ruin your shit. Bloody hell.
