Official additions to the Episode VIII cast; Benicio del Toro, Laura Dern, and Kelly Marie Tran (who has mostly done comedy shorts from what I can tell. She was in the pilot for Adam Ruins Everything so I've seen her before but it was a seriously minor role).

    Marvel crossover confirmed.

  2. Both on the off chance that he leaves Midas and rejoins WAW, only I don't currently have access to a hi-res image of the Midas logo. <_<

Look at this as a pilot test, if I show this to someone and they like it I'll do my best to find and provide more pictures.

EDIT - Never mind, I just found this: 10247223_222682514609552_267234734085561

  3. Yep, the logo is pretty out of date at this point seeing as WAWW became Bellatrix in 2011/2 but if we aren't changing it for a TV launch then I don't know what will change it as this point. I'm much fonder of the brand potential Bellatrix has anyway.

@C-MIL Here is the only picture I could find, because one of our fans has a tendency to take hundreds of mostly crappy pictures per show and uploads them all to the fan page, after a quick trawl of Facebook that is hopefully somewhat useable (and even then he's only recently joined Midas so a WAW background picture would be a little moot at this point):

  4. WAW recently hired a website designer to create a new website in preparation for our TV taping and because the previous website was lacking the more refined quality of other wrestling promotions' websites. I'm of the opinion that the new website is marginally worse than the previous one because the people running it are clueless about wrestling and have used subpar images of our wrestlers on a clearly heavily influenced by WWE.com roster page. I can't guarantee I'll be listened to by either the WAW higher ups of the website designer but would anyone be interested in creating some EWR/TEW-style images for the roster which would, at the very least, be extensively used by myself for social media purposes?

I recall someone (possibly @Kirkland) making worker picture graphics for wrestlers based on their affiliation (Raw, Smackdown, NXT, TNA, etc) and would like something along those lines. I'm currently workng on finding the best possible images of WAW, Bellatrix, and Midas logos to be used and would require an image with every wrestler with their respective promotion graphic as well as an additional Midas one should the future need for it arise. I'm aware that obtaining suitable images of every WAW/Bellatrix wrestler may be difficult but I will also do my best to provide any where needed. So, is anyone up for the challenge?

EDIT - Here is the WAW logo: http://imgur.com/Ecrwyju

Would anyone be able to take the 'the UK HOOLIGANS' aspect of the above picture and separate it from the rest of the image? I need that part of the text on its own and the same in black and white, and greyscale.

EDIT - The images need to be as high quality as possible.

  6. I haven't looked forward to the last few but I've watched them anyway. This year I'm actively uninterested and will probably only watch them if I'm home and my Mum is watching them.

Every episode should be a two-parter minimum, individual episodes seem rushed and skip over what could become much more interesting plot points/cliff hangers by resolving them in seconds.

  7. I will go months and months without playing computer games and then I'll go back home to the parents' where I still have my PS3, which I might play pretty intensively for a week or so.

I haven't bought a new game since GTA V. It's not been a conscious decision. I just haven't seen anything that's really interested me since.

Basically this, only I'm living there permanently right now and I still haven't picked up a controller in at least 3 months.

  8. You've already got one of my favourite films, not just in Westerns but of all genres, in Liberty Valance but another film to hold that privilege which you haven't listed is The Searchers. It's pretty long but its just brilliant.

  9. As a means of keeping my eyes occupied while eating just now I've discovered that, after the first three Twilight films, The Maze Runner is the next most successful YA fiction film adaption when success is viewed as box office earnings as a percentage of budget. I know that's a fairly specific way of looking at it, and odd that I'd think to look it all up in the first place, but it beats the last two Twilights, every Harry Potter, both Hunger Games' so far, and Divergent. This seems strange for something I'd never heard of until going to see it at the cinema when the others all had at least moderate hype behind the prior to their release.

  10. Heroes who come out of retirement/hiding for one last job more than once and killing off entire main casts except for the franchise character, i.e. 24 for both. Although I enjoy the show these two things happening made me lose interest completely by the sixth series or so.

  11. Is Santa giving out tangerines a British thing, or something they just made up for the episode? Because in the U.S. the only thing he's known for giving out regularly is coal to bad kids. And why only 3 reindeer?

I've never come across the tangerines thing but my Christmases have never been anything special or all that big on tradition.

Thought Nick Frost did a really good job as Santa, but it wasn't the best or worst Christmas special that they've done. I didn't like them giving us multiple possible exits for Clara, only for us to find out that she's sticking around. Hopefully she does leave during or after next season. And I hope that unless they somehow resurrect him that this was the last we've seen of Mr. Pink. It seemed odd for their to be so many insinuations that Clara was leaving only for it to be brushed away and staying for another season. I thought the swiftly made pointless "Clara's old" scene became insulting when she essentially said "thank god I'm not old anymore" in the next scene.

Also, why did the guy have to be the victim that died? Why not him? I'm intrigued

I'm in general agreement that it wasn't the worst but my expectations for the Xmas specials are even lower than during the regular series. I'll just go back to hoping that the next series isn't underwhelming like I always do only to be disappointed again and again.
