  1. Can't be, too modern and not a Victorian workhouse in sight.

    Spotify Wrapped.

Wrapped is flawed because it relies on the algorithm, so I use Spotistats. This is my year up to today and aside from a current La Roux obsession that will probably propel her up a fair bit, this is close to my final lineup for 2023.

    Doctor Who

Really enjoyed that. Ncuti immediately feels like a different kind of Doctor than we've ever seen before whilst also feeling comforting and familiar. I'm excited for what comes next based off of that.
  4. Y'all, why is LaRoux's debut album so fucking good and why did it take me 13+ years to check out the songs outside In For The Kill and Bulletproof? Am I a total moron for leaving it this long because it absolutely smacks?

    songs with sequels

EWB, I'm in the mood for song sequels. Give me some.
  6. Only dropped a few weeks back, it's acting as an anthology series in case you are hoping for continuation.
  7. Time to bust out one of the absolute GOAT comedy moments. Can't count the amount of times I've watched this for a quick laugh. Absolute all timer. Ties on for the Captain

    Doctor Who

Yeah don't misunderstand me, it's not a bad episode by any stretch. I enjoyed it, but it just felt very much like it could have done with a bit more time to allow the beats to be explored and breathe. It's entirely a personal preference and I'm glad it's sitting better with others than it did with me, but it still sat well with me but for some bits I wanted more of.

    Doctor Who

It doesn't have to be acknowledged tho. 90% of people watching in 2023 probably won't even know let alone remember the original design of the character. Just let it die in memory.

    Doctor Who

Which is a really really weird choice given he's a celestial being and his only concern is winning or losing.

    Doctor Who

2nd was definitely the strongest for me. Creepy, fun, story was well plotted, and I'm always a sucker for minimalist Doctor stories. I think the bigeneration is basically just setting up "TV Doctor" and "Film Doctor", which makes me hopeful that Eight might get treated as a film Doctor and appear alongside Tennant as I feel like they'd have wonderful chemistry.

    Doctor Who

That was incredibly underwhelming. Nothing really hit with any oomph, even the bigeneration just kind of felt like... okay? Looking forward to Xmas, but just really feel like they tried to do too much in too little time and never let this one breathe and explore what it was doing.
  14. I'm assuming The Good Wife improves significantly over its run given its praise because the pilot is basic AF late 90s/early 00s TV. I know you shouldn't judge a show by it's pilot, but still, it's not doing anything to pique my interest.
  15. Wtf, yes. Go Sega. I am incredibly excited for them all, but Golden Axe especially is a fond memory for me.
  16. If you haven't watched this, I strongly suggest it. Just finished it and the final episode just makes me so furious at the piece of shit and so bad for the family, and that's with a happy ending (that's not a spoiler by the way, the real life Jan says as much as the very start of the show).
  17. A Friend of the Family is good TV. Jake Lacy plays the charismatic manipulator well enough that you can see why people fell for the act whilst you are mentally screaming at people on the screen not to fall for it as if you're watching a horror movie play out.

    Doctor Who

This is nightmare fuel and I love it.
  19. We Own This City is unsurprisingly great TV. Really love how they execute moving about the narrative.
