  1. watched Diary of the Dead last night and what a horrible movie. George A Romero really has to be the most over rated producer out there. I respect that he made the genre and all but his films are terrible, and Diary of the Dead I believe is the worst of his films, behind Survival of the Dead. Grant it, the narrators dialogue was great but other than that there really aren't many other positives about this film. I was interested in the movie because of the idea of the use of a shaky cam in a zombie movie, but they totally underutilized it unfortunately. and I just finished watching Southland Tales a few minutes ago. Awesome movie, it's by the same guy who made Donnie Darko and I guess the guy put all of his money he made off of the DD and put it all into this film and it shows. With a great cast that includes The Rock, Sean William Scott, Justin Timberlake, and other familiar faces. The story is excellent and the movie is just awesome to look at. I definitely recommended this movie.
  2. SLC Punk Brick Daybreakers Spun Party Monster Holy Rollers Highway
  3. Watched Monsters today on Netflix after the new Tosh.0. It was pretty good, a lot better than I was expecting after reading a lot of reviews that weren't too kind to the film. Overall I'd say it's worth a look, I was never bored which I kinda figured was going to happen since I figured it'd just be nothing but them walking through the Mexico boarder, thankfully the movie had a rather faster pace than most of these kind of movies. Also, for those of you who have netflix and haven't seen Daybreakers from last year I would definitely recommend checking it out. It was on my personal top ten list of 2010 and unfortunately kinda just flew under the radar without getting much recognition.
  4. The Always Sunny in Philadelphia episode where Dennis and Dee go on welfare is just tremendous. It's definitely now in my top 10 favorite episodes.
  5. Just watched Let Me In and it was a pretty good movie. Though not nearly as good as Daybreakers I would definitely recommend checking it out.
  6. 1. The Social Network - just an absolutely tremendous written script with great dialogue. 2. Daybeakers - The fact that this movie doesn't get talked about or mentioned boggles my mind. It's my personal favorite movie of the year, but Social Network was just an overall better movie. I loved the way it was shot, and the plot I thought was original and excellent. 3. Hot Tub Time Machine - I know its crazy but I love Craig Robinson and they actually pulled off a hilariously entertaining movie out of such a ridiculous plot. 4. Inception - What really needs to be said about Inception that hasn't? It's Christopher Nolan so that right that is all that really needs to be said. 5. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World - This was probably the most original movie I saw this year, just the way it was shot, the dialogue, and the transition shots. The movie was so fast pace and was just one of the best movie experiences I've had all year. 6. Kick Ass 7. She's Out of My League - Probably the most under the radar movie this year. Every time I watch it I can never find a bad thing about it. 8. Cyrus - Incredibly funny and goofy. Jonah Hill was at his finest in this movie. 9. Get Him To The Greek 10. Easy A I've seen a lot of other movies in theaters this year such as Youth and Revolt and Devil which I thought were good movies but definitely don't deserve to be on any list. Although, my choice of HTTM could be said, but I have a soft spot for it haha. The Last Airbender was awful, I can't really remember if Wolf Man was this year but found it to be boring. Splice was okay. Iron Man was decent, but had too much stuff going on and way too many characters in it (kinda like Spiderman 3, but a lot better). I have yet to see Black Swan and 127 Hours though I really want to. Oh and Clash of Titans was just embarrassing. Jackass 3D was really fun but again doesn't belong on a list like this.
  7. I've been listening to most of Deja Entendu album by Brand New. After all these years it still remains to be my favorite CD, really not one bad song. I really wish Brand New would come out with some new shit.
  8. I decided to pick up Fight Club last week since the movie is one of my favorites, and I will be damned, the book was so much better. I honestly could not put this book down for the life of me, I definitely do recommend it, especially if you enjoyed the movie, since the book goes into so much more details to characters and everything. And the ending of the book is just really emotional. Now I am half through World War Z and I am really enjoying it, took me a while to get used to the interview way the book is written, but the more I read the more I enjoy the style of writing.
  9. Eastbound and Down, tremendous show which I believe is the funniest show on television at the moment. Also, last nights new tosh.0 wasn't too bad as well.
