  1. I'd try Dynamo Dresden over St Petersburg, because Dresden are in Germany and thus have the potential to actually become a big club faster due to TV revenues etc. Also, Dresden have an epic history: # DDR-Oberliga (East-Germany): 8 * Champions 1953, 1971, 1973, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1989, 1990 I still want to try them one day. Also, about the swapping of positions, I don't really like it. I tried it several times with Gervinho and Ashley Young but it didn't really work out, I found them to be more effective just on their natural positions. I might do that one, sounds fun.
  2. Well it'll leave us with either Elliot Parish or Andy Marshall... Parish could be ok in time, but he's not ready for next season.
  3. Sounds like a plan 9 to 5, I've heard a bit on here about Dynamo St Petersburg, so I might give them a fair crack as well.
  4. An exciting club to manage, I know I want a Villa game, but I'd either double manage with another club or have a second save.
  5. So I decided to go for it, I couldn't resist Any advice for a good game on here?
  6. I'm undecided. I've been playing 2010 for ages these past two weeks, but 2011 is now at an affordable price for me, with 2012 obviously a few months away, is it worth it in your opinion?
  7. Bit sad to lose Brad Sr, but I do wonder if we'll make a move for anyone else or will Brad Jr be called up?
  8. I think it depends on the player and how professional he is. I denied Ashley Young's request last year and he still played well. He ended up liking me enough in the end that I could sign a new contract and stop him moaning. Now he's all but PL Player of the Year.
  9. Managed to get a 1-1 draw away from home, so decided to just employ a turtle-like formation, going 1-5-4-1 SW-D-DM-S. Held on for a 0-0, 2 shots to 21. Now to see which Madrid it is in the Final. And thanks to a draw from L'Pool, one win and I'm League Champ!
  10. Champions League Quarter Final second leg, Villa (me) (0) vs Chelsea (1). I play a 4-2-1-2-1 With two DMC's and an MC. I have to withstand Drogba hitting the post twice, but Ashley Cole gets sent off and I managed to nick two goals before my own guy, M. Diarra goes, now to face Barca in the Semi's with the prospect of an all-spain Final otherwise (Madrid Derby is the other tie) Yeah...
  11. Well it seems a bit ridiculous, but my dad seems to have heard that Villa will appoint Mark Hughes as manager, and Ancelotti going to Fulham...
  12. Impressed by United so far, and eventually Hernandez will get an onside ball, but it's what he does with it.
  13. Well. I broke FM2010. Adriano is playing so well that the fans are -127% happy with him. Probably helped that I bear Bordeaux 6-1 in the first leg of the first knockout round, when Cuellar Own goaled and then got sent off after I sold him last season. Agen Cuellar strikes again (Y)
  14. I thought we'd got rid of Blues, why do we need Sunderland wearing this
  15. I was away from yesterday to about 8pm and when my dad told me I literally double took at NRC going. Devastated by that one. And Salifou.
  16. I have started to come back around to Hou, but the report has him in a Director of Football style role, and I wouldn't mind that alongside Carlo. But it's rumour and who knows right now...
  17. Looking on a few websites that Villa might be looking at Al Habsi from Bolton. I wouldn't mind that for a replacement to Friedel.
  18. Decided to have a nice game at Villa (FM10). Started off well, Gabby was literally scoring for the sake of it. I counted about 20 goals in 28 appearances or something, managed a late push thanks to my signing of Adriano (funded by the boards generosity in giving me an extra £9mil to spend) and finished in 3rd. Got a lovely budget for 2010/11, and used it on the defense and youth, signing about 5 regens rated highly and bought Victor from Gremio for £10mil and Darijo Srna for £17mil. I was a bit unsure on spending that much on Srna but he hasn't disappointed and I am currently about 10 points ahead at the top at mid-January. I'm facing Bordeaux, so that will be nice to see Cuellar again (sold him for around £7.5mil, wasn't gonna reject that one). Highlight was managing to hold on to Ashley Young. I auto-rejected a £15.25mil bid fro Man City, and then had to turn down a transfer request, but I managed to sort it out with a new contract and is about a fifth of a point ahead of everyone in the Premier League Averages.
  19. Don't you wish you had such fine models at your club?
  20. That was pretty special. And just like that, with Wolves 2-0 down...
