actually, it was initially called "football" as it was played on foot, to differentiate it from the majority of licensed sports which were, at the time, played on horseback. So the "why's it called football when they use their hands?!" stock argument is invalid.
But, yes, it's a soccer thing.

Managing to get all the jobs you've been set to do over the course of exam leave done in about 20 minutes is such an awesome feeling. Now if only the revision took 20 minutes...
